  • Well, I must say that something that made me really confused is a question one classmate did at my class.
We were discussing about my participation the student hub and he said : so how do I know that you won't use AI in order to answer correctly? I haven't thought about but actually I think that integrity is the key. In other words human characteristics can really differentiate us from machines!!

    1. Good comment!

    2. Well, I agree with @peaceful mode for various reasons. To begin with , it is easy to spot an AI generated article by its writing style. Some main characteristics of human writing that robots lack is its emotion, depth and creativity. Humans tend to tell their opinions and thoughts whereas robots are unable to think independently and are forced to use material from the internet which makes it unoriginal. Lastly robots don't make any grammatical nor spelling mistakes compared to us humans. In other words us humans are original and most importantly full of emotion and creativity whereas AI is a soulless machine. ;)

      1. Al play important roles in our daily life.i know about AI in my class lesson also think about it .AI is always present in our daily life and it make easy our daily life.

    3. I strongly agree with you because on one hand, yes I presume AI can formulate a reasonable argument but it is obvious when it is doing so ,since it lacks the personal touch, feeling and strong opinion that only a human can bring to the table. Human characteristics do indeed widely differentiate us from machines and that is why I think that the predicted control AI will have in the future is completely absurd.

      1. interesting perspective, kind_ocean -- but I don't think you can be sure that it will always be obvious when something is made by AI. If the AI software is taught using text and pictures and data that _were_ made by humans, they will in their way reflect human characteristics. Perhaps the only reason it is "obvious" now is that the AI programs are not yet as good as they might one day become...

    4. I agree with you, AI might always give you answers but it cannot give you personal opinions. It may give you different answers and possibilities but the perspective of a Human is completely different. AI also does not have the power of creative thinking like us humans and the emotions we can share cannot be expressed by an AI Bot.

  • I have done my class about AI
    In my class...
I was really so excited about AI. I thought that AI is important for us.And I was right. AI will be one of the most important and most common thing in future. AI helps us in doing works.wWe can finish our daily and important tasks through AI.We also get many help from it.In my class I also learned about the merits and demerits about AI. This AI have more merits than its little demerits. If we can control AI it will be a blessing. I felt so happy from the class about AI.
AI is very good and important for all of us.
    Thank you....

    1. I disagree because... the demerits out way the merits.
      1) AI can be hacked, this would be very bad for example let's say you're running a company with AI, and you have no human employees. This would mean that if the AI working for you were to be hacked your entire company would stop.
      2) AI is VERY difficult to code because when you miss one line of code the whole code is wrong meaning that the AI would not be able to work.
      3) If the AI had water or any liquid or food spilled on it would not work and shut down this is why AI is less important than humans.
      4) AI does not show empathy meaning if AI were to be a teacher you would not understand what the AI is teaching because of the fact it can't understand what you're thinking. It would also not be able to help you catch up with the class as in the AI would think everyone is on the same level.
So, in conclusion yes AI is very useful and can be used in many situations there are a lot of downsides that people need to fix.

  • Hello everybody!
In my class, we were discussing our jobs that we want to have, and if AI would take over those jobs. We had chart paper and walked around to write what the people in that job would do. Then we were talking about if AI could take over those jobs or not. The job that I chose was a teacher. AI could help with teaching but cannot take it over. With teaching, there has to be eye contact between the teachers and the students. An AI couldn't make that kind of contact between the students. The job that was between the two, was a grant writer. Half of the room was saying an AI, the other half was saying a human. Both sides made a lot of sense. Although, AI is very helpful, it doesn't express feelings like humans do. That is why I say that AI cannot teach. Does anyone have the same feelings?

    1. I really like your point about eye-contact between a teacher and a student. Which one of our Topical Talk skills do you think eye-contact shows?

        1. Can you tell me how this helps with creativity?

    2. I strongly agree with what cheerful journalist stated yesterday because we literally did the same thing in my class and the jobs that I pick that I think AI systems will not take over is includes; computer programmer, website developer, software developer, and also, the last one I choked was fixing of items.
Why I said fixing of items is that it will be a great job for humans to start fixing some of the robots in case if they got spoilt. I think this particular job will help humans because AI systems can not be able to fix their selfs and it is a great job for humans to start fixing robots and machines and from there, we can develop our skills. Let me take for instance, if a robot got spoilt in my country Nigeria, I don't there is any organisation that is capable of fixing the machine and what it cost for it to be fixed might be almost equivalent to how much it is been purchased.
Also, computer coding or programmering is one of the job that AI systems will not take over from humans in the sense that robot does not have human's emotions and ability to code robot because they work according to what is been coded to them to do.

In conclusion, I will say that AI system will not take over human Intelligence because they are lots of work to do in future, it can only enhance the level of productivity or efficiency in terms of fastness and accurate. Thanks.

  • Good afternoon everyone!
In my class we discussed about jobs in the future and they were lots of opinions. We agreeded on some jobs like computer programmer, and jobs like psychologist were more controversial. My creativity was engaged by empathysing with robots and think what they could do in a future.
    What do you think?

    Goodbye.

  • AI is a very interesting topic to talk about and wherever it is brought up discussions start to fly around. I remember when I had a class discussion on whether AI would take over content creators, authors and the likes. The class was heated up with various opinions, some saying AI would and some saying it wouldn't replace authors but just help them become better. From the discussion I got to understand that writing is a thing that comes from within, flows into our fingertips and leaves it stains on our books. Writing is something from the heart and seeing that AI doesn't have a heart yet still creates nice writings it gave new insights on AI in writing. I always thought that AI would destroy the creativity of students and make them reliant on things like chat gpt but I learned that it could be a form of a challenge to the creativity of students. Instead of students seeing it as a help it should be their friendly competitor and they should aspire to crate better contents than AI. This discussion increased my creativity level as I also started to see AI as my competitor and I greatly improved in my writing skills.

    1. I agree because... AI provides more tools for students to explore and experiment with. For example, AI can be used to create new things. AI also analyzes students' creativity by pointing out their mistakes and weaknesses.
AI shouldn't be a replacement of human creativity. Though AI improves human creativity, it is up to us, students, to use it creatively.

    2. I agree as AI supplies lots of different tools for students to try and experiment. For example, AI can be used to make lots of different new things. AI also helps students to see their strengths and weaknesses. This saves time for teachers as instead of them finding your strengths and weaknesses AI does it for them allowing them to see exactly what you can get more harder work on and what you need some extra help on. This allows them to do more important things they need to do. AI shouldn't be replacing people in their jobs but rather helping them to develop more skills and the same for teachers. Students shouldn't have to be taught by robots but rather AI should be helping teachers teach their students even better than they did before . This is why I think AI shouldn't be replacing us but rather helping us.

      1. How do you think AI could help teachers?

        1. I think AI can help teachers to keep the records of the students like how are they doing in the class?, are they improving in their studies or not?, etc. Teachers can use AI to make question sheets for examination and test. Teachers an also learn many ways to make student understand about the syllabus.
          Thank you.

        2. I think that AI could be beneficial yet disturbing to teachers. I think this because AI can either take their career or make their career easier. For robots wouldn't necessarily need to be paid when employed , whilst on the other hand, if teachers are employed then the government would need to distribute money to them. But yet again they can make it easier by helping the staff which will lead to lessons and planning to be easier, less stressful and less chaotic.

          1. I understand your point, but I respectfully disagree. One area where humans excel over robots is psychology. Robots are not able to understand human behavior as well as we do. For instance, if robots were to replace teachers, students would not be able to grasp the material fully without human interaction. Furthermore, robots lack empathy, and while they can be programmed to show it, their responses may come across as mean or sarcastic. Imagine a robot performing surgery on you at the hospital, even if you provide it with all the necessary information, it would not be able to display any genuine emotion. Therefore, AI should not be used in any profession that requires psychological understanding. However, AI can excel in jobs that involve engineering and calculations due to their high level of intelligence.

            1. I totally agree. AI can improve every day. And it can (actually is) a much better worker than people. But AI is not going to work with patients. Like you said. they don't understand how we feel. Even if we taught them. And it doesn't concern mentally ill people but also people that need surgery etc because human isn't going to put their own life to hands of the machine

            2. I agree with you, considerate_snail, I have the same opinion when it comes to the assigned topic. AI is good for us, but like you opined, it does not have the ability to understand the psychology or emotions of human beings and so should not be implemented at such job profiles. Along with that, bringing in AI for every job, increases unemployment. If every job is done by bots, most of mankind will be jobless and many will be poor. Unemployment gives birth to very slothful people and as the saying, "An idle mind is a devil's workshop" suggests, people will get bad ideas like robbery, murders, etc. This ends up increasing the crime rate of the world and making it even more unsafe than it already is. Us humans will once again end up making the environment worse for ourselves and other organisms that live with us.
              Thank You!!!

            3. I totally agree with you, AI is a robot, therefore not human, so it cannot understand us and help us with emotions, feelings and so. AI is very helpful but it can't read people as humans do.

          2. Hi,
understanding_llama you are forget that Al can complete any work quickly. They have a great future. If Al
robots help teachers for complete any work easily and quickly. Then, school's can take our exam easily. Al can also help us to continue our lessons. Teachers will be use Al only make their work easy . So, all this reason, I am not agree on your thoughts.
            Thanks.

        3. I think AI can help teachers because the AI can plan the lessons and explain it better than the teacher can. I'm not saying AI should take over teachers. I'm saying AI can get things done faster.

        4. Ai can help teachers by giving understanding of certain topics to put more information into their knowledge

        5. I think AI will help teachers by learning them as well but actually you have to do it by yourself. It will be fair if you do it in your head.

        6. I think that, AI can help teachers by many ways like helping in creative teaching, giving examples for their topics, generating images and also explaining the lessons to the teachers also and helping them in correcting their students. AI can help teachers by many ways, but the use of AI by the teachers is very less and they don't use but go through the lecture method of teaching.

        7. In my opinion AI is both helpful and a trouble for the teachers.
If we talk about AI helping the teachers , we have so many examples around us in day to day life like we can see how even teachers use AI tools and supplies for their better teaching. For example -while making ppt's , notes and other study supplies. just like how the topical talk fest is using the help of AI to identify if the students are copying from websites or links, the same is happening in every school.
If we talk about the cons then i would say that the AI robots and machines are slowly replacing teachers , which is a job loss. For ex- A robot teacher was introduced in our country in past years.

        8. It will help them in making note like using ChatGPT in searching for more information to write for them and Creating and supplementing content through it they can curate a range of educational resources.
          Thanks👨‍🏫

        9. How do you think AI could help teachers?
Amazing question Tiff @ Topical Talk!!
In my opinion AI can help teachers in so many ways but I am only going to list a few

          1) Help release a lot of stress from teachers: Teachers need to prepare notes for their students to copy some students are slow whilst others are fast the teacher must wait for the slow writers.
Using the AI, it can summarize the note in the easiest form whilst the teacher can go ang do other work.

          2) Identify struggling students through behavioral cues and give them a nudge in the right direction.

          3) Foster greater inclusivity by enabling more students with diverse backgrounds to participate in a class or listen to a lecture through AI-based language translation.
          Thank you!!

      2. I completely agree funny_potato. I completely agree with your goal on the role of AI in education. Rather than replacing humans, AI should be a valuable tool to enhance teaching and learning experiences. It makes tasks easier, identifies areas for improvement, and ultimately empowers both students and teachers to reach their full potential.

    3. I agree with your topic about AI. AI can be both helpful and harmful.

    4. I disagree with this comment. According to me, with enough resources, AI has the power to do anything. An author, in this case, can also be destroyed by AI. An author can only write in the tone he is compatible with. AI can take tone variations from all the authors in the world. It could make a saga, a super blend of all the writings of authors throughout the world. Even many authors use AI to re-phrase some of their sentences to make them more appealing and beautiful. AI has the power to write the best of stories and poems within minutes and seconds.

  • Hello everyone!
In my class, we had a really interesting discussion about our dream jobs, and whether Artificial Intelligence would take over them or not. We wrote each job on a piece of paper, and everyone went around writing what they thought were the roles of those jobs on the papers . Then we had a debate about which ones AI would take over.
My job was that of a Civil rights activists, and we all agree that AI helps with it, but can't take over. It would be strange to see technology fighting for human rights, wouldn't it?
The job that earned the most controversy, though, was Law. We spent quite a while debating on whether or not AI would take over. It really opened my eyes. I think that although AI is efficient, it doesn't experience emotions as we do, so can't passionately fight for someone in court. But I learned that the world is changing into a technology based place, and there is little that AI can't be programmed to do. It also enabled me to analyze a situation from both sides, not just mine.
Did anyone else have a debate? And if so, about what?

    1. In a scene whereby AI is used in the court, someone might argue that because AI does not have emotions, it will not efficiently defend a client in court. But because AI has the ability to scroll through previous cases similar to the case at hand, the probability that AI will win a human lawyer is high. Even a human lawyer can make use of AI to scrutinize cases in the past that have a similar nature to the case that the lawyer might be handling and find out how to win that case.

      1. I agree with what you have said, chatty fact because AI cannot judge people. Although they make unbiased decisions, they only use your previous records to determine what will happen to you now. A person could have a criminal record in the past but the person may have turned a new leaf, whereas the AI will use that against the person. The AI cannot see from their own perspective, therefore making a bad decision. AI should not be judging, rather it should assist the lawyer to ease his or her work.

        1. I agree because artificial intelligence learns from data records created by humans, it can take from human biases and prejudices that may result in harmful decisions made by AI. An example was when Amazon abandoned an automated recruitment tool because it was biased against women due to relying on historically male-dominated resumes. The mistake we humans usually make is to undermine the abilities and capabilities of AI. From my research, "The way many AI systems are developed is they're only looking at pre-existing data. They're not looking at who we want to be ..." this statement was made by Mutale Nkonde. Because of this, AI can only judge a person based on the records of that person.

          1. Do you think there are ways that we humans could try and stop AI developing prejudice?

            1. Hi,
I think that to stop AI from being biased the people creating it would have to have the character or attributes of a truthful and upright person, this is because AI do not create themselves humans do and if a person with a bad character like those that use AI for crimes, the AI powered device or machine or even robot will be baleful and there is nothing that can be done about it, but if the person that creates is truthful and of good character there is no way he/she will make the AI to be of harm to people rather the AI will have assurance of being benevolent. To be short and precise in my opinion the main cause of what character, judgement and works that AI will exhibit solely depends on the character and motive of the creator. Don't you think so to?
              Thank you!

              1. AI systems often learns for huge quantities of data- for example information over the internet. The person creating the system may not be in control of this. What kinds of challenges and opportunities are there here?

        2. Hey,
          Gutsy_blackcurrant,
What have you said is absolutely right. Though AI has given us the motion but taken away the emotion.
And as you said, that AI should not be judging us. I agree with you with this.

        3. Your perspective on AI aligns with the notion that while artificial intelligence can make unbiased decisions based on historical data, it lacks the ability to discern personal growth or changes in an individual's circumstances. AI relies on past records to predict outcomes, potentially overlooking positive transformations in a person's life. The absence of a subjective viewpoint in AI can lead to rigid judgments, especially when it comes to individuals with a prior criminal record who may have rehabilitated themselves. It underscores the importance of using AI as a tool to assist rather than replace human judgment, particularly in legal contexts. Collaborative efforts between AI and legal professionals could harness the strengths of both, ensuring a fair and nuanced approach to decision-making while acknowledging the complexities of individual experiences.

Moreover, the limitations in AI's ability to perceive personal growth and understand nuanced perspectives highlight the need for human involvement in legal decision-making. While AI systems excel at processing vast amounts of data quickly, they lack the empathetic understanding that humans bring to complex situations. It is crucial to recognize that AI should function as a supportive tool for legal professionals, aiding in the analysis of information and streamlining processes. By combining the efficiency of AI with the nuanced judgment of human experts, we can strive for a legal system that is both fair and considerate of individual circumstances, fostering a balance between technological advancements and human insights in the pursuit of justice.thank you

      2. I agree because there is now something called cyber law. This is a kind of law that involves using computers to settle cases. I am trying to say that AI can also be used when settling cases even though they do not have emotions. AI has greatly contributed to many jobs and professions today, and there is no doubt that law is one of them.

      3. i strongly agree with what you said, this is because while AI can assist with legal tasks such as research and analysis, it is unlikely to completely replace human lawyers in the near future. This is because the legal profession involves more than just logical decision-making; it requires emotional intelligence, empathy, and effective communication skills that AI currently lacks. Additionally, the legal system is complex and constantly evolving, making it challenging for AI to fully understand the context and implications of legal decisions. However, AI can still be a valuable asset to the legal profession by providing lawyers with insights and resources, such as legal research tools and contract review tools.

      4. I agree because AI can't be manipulated or bribed but can. This is why AI is amenable to take over. There is so much case law already online that a computer can process and find any number of paragraphs covering a specific subject, This would make it a lot easier for AI to take over. It can also review court judgements and easily make suggestions as to how a case any particular clause with the highest probability of that clause being enforced if required. For this reason, AI can do a much better job, much faster and more efficient. Lawyers will have a hard time convincing people, AI would not have a hard time in convincing people because they do not show emotions so they would judge fairly . When AI offers the trinity of good, quick and cheap judgement. AI wouldn't be biased or unfair.

        1. As you correctly point out, lawyers are already using AI tools to help them do research. But there have been incidents where AI made up case law which did not actually exist. What do you think we could do to make sure AI tools are more reliable?

      5. Hello chatty fact.
I really agree with what you have stated but at the same time, I'd like to point out some few points/errors.
Although they make unbiased decisions, which yes is an act of being fair and its actions being justifiable but then, they only use your previous records to determine what will happen to the victim. The AI cannot see from their own perspective, therefore making awful decisions at times. Also, on what you mentioned earlier, AI systems are only as unbiased as the data they're trained on. Also, I feel that ethical implications of AI in the legal industry can give rise to several questions.
Furthermore, we don't realize that AIs are practically just written codes and instructions meaning they can be manipulated and hacked.
And also, in my opinion, if I were a false victim coming into the court just to notice and see that an AI is defending me, I would seriously think my life is being manipulated with and being taken as a joke.

      6. Yes, I strongly agree with your comment because I personally believe that AI works based on facts and what it is been given which will help it to see examples of previous cases which had happened before and then apply it in the given situation which might help it win a case against a human lawyer.
In conclusion, while AI can certainly be a valuable tool for lawyers, it is not a replacement for human judgment and expertise, so I believe.
        Thank you!!!

      7. I agree because in a scenario in class we did an in role debate about a human and AI bot and a learner in class reported to the teacher that another learner was making strange gestures towards the learner and the teacher used that as an example to test whether the Ai bot would understand the gestures and it does not so to wrap up the whole point AI would never be able to relate with learners and this will make life hectic.

    2. I agree because... We also had the same discussion in class and my job was that of a lawyer. That AI cannot replace lawyers because it needs human oversight to work. Even with retrieval augmented generation, a process that uses vetted sources to enhance accuracy, generative AI is not completely accurate. Despite AI's incursion into the legal world, the work of lawyers will remain vital. Technology won't replace the human element. It can't argue before a jury, nor can it provide compassionate counsel to clients. So in my own opinion I feel that AI cannot completely replace humans because humans play a vital role.

      1. Hello helpful_personality, I agree with your comment strongly , AI cannot replace the job of lawyers because lawyers are humans that can feel the emotions of the victims and sympathize with them. AI has no emotions they can not sympathize but only deal with information and I think that what makes lawyers exceptionally important.

        1. Hi zestful_artic_fox
As you have said AI do not show emotions while humans do. In a court
case I think AI would be able to replace humans Humans are subject to
bias and emotion which can all impact their decision-making abilities.
AI has been designed to be consistent and unbiased, making them ideal
for tasks that require a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Humans
are prone to errors, both cognitive and emotional, that can impact
their decision-making abilities. AI can make decisions based solely on
data, leading to fair and unbiased outcomes.

      2. In addition to what you have said the AI cannot replace the work of a lawyer because most importantly, it needs human perception to work. Another issue at hand is that unlike humans the AI can be tampered with, and the opposing defendants can manipulate the information to favour them.
The AI can't be creative and understanding and that can be a huge problem. This is because human lawyers need to understand the situations and bring up creative ways to solve it but unfortunately, the AI can not do this task. So i highly doubt that the AI will be able to replace the job of a lawyers.

      3. These are all very good arguments, helpful_personality. What other jobs did your class decide would be better done by humans?

        1. We came to the conclusion that human beings are more suitable for the role of civil right activists than robots. We think that robots lack the emotional connection and the lived experience that are essential for fighting for justice and equality. We feel that it would be strange and insensitive to have a robot speak on our behalf when they do not share our suffering and struggles.

      4. I strongly agree with you helpful_personality ,the reason being that is because you said AI cannot replace the job of the lawyer,in my opinion I think it's true, because Artificial Intelligence cannot sympathize with the victims, can not argue before a jury and lastly cannot provide compassionate counseling to their clients, In conclusion, I think it’s unlikely that Artificial Intelligence will replace the jobs of the human lawyers. This because the AI doesn't have the ability to solve complex challenges, to think critically and thoroughly, and lastly even show the emotions and empathy that’s so critical to clients relationships,so I believe Artificial Intelligence cannot entirely take over our jobs and society because humans play a very important role.

    3. This is a nice point you know! It just struck something in me because, during our class interactions here at my school, my group chose the career of an Author. I know we need artificial intelligence to help proofread and do research but for the original content and all, I would prefer to say that humans will perform better in the area of writing. Being one who is passionate about writing and content creation, I know the passion that is carried
along in writing. It allows me to travel with my thoughts and imagination, but if I restrict everything to AI, it will not give me a heartfelt result.
I feel that a very good collaboration between these two forms of intelligence (human and artificial)will bring out wonderful results!

      1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on authors and AI.

You wrote about a collaboration between human and artificial intelligence and mentioned AI being useful for research/proofreading. Are there other ways authors can make use of AI that might be possible now or in the future?

        1. There are lots and lots of ways that authors could incorporate AI into their work other than just proofreading. I see a lot of opportunities that could be created in terms of writing books. I happened to pick up some comical books of the past and when I compared it to what is obtainable today, I nodded in satisfaction with the pace of technology and the real effects it gives. Before now, animated books were just basic and obvious that it was fake but now you see them looking all real! This increases the reader's urge to flip through more pages because the ambience of the illustrations looks breathtaking and super real. It cannot be overemphasized that these authors can now present their ideas not only in writing but also by allowing others to visualize what they have by using pictorials. So instead of an author paying an illustrator to do the job, he could simply input the idea on an AI application, and boom 💥 the outcome becomes massive.
In most cases, authors use some AI apps to correct grammatical errors which would have been done by an individual who often corrects phrases to suit only their understanding. Even in terms of carrying out research in the course of writing, the author doesn't need to have visited a site to give accurate details about it, when he could simply just use a search engine online and definitely get answers that suit the search.

      2. I'm not sure about this because... I know that an (AI/ROBOT) doesn't put in the emotion needed to create story, there needs to be in which every body is mentally, emotional and socially stable to create story.
but on the other hand humans create story's from personal experience or from a certain thing or someone who inspired them, if you say humans are better in that aspect what part can they do better than robots in
        content creation?

    4. I agree because... during class discussion we most of us found it weird when one of us acted as an AI teacher teaching the students because when someone acted uncomfortable the response or reaction to that certain scene was very odd ,especially considering that fact that they are programmed .And we realised that Artificial intelligence can compare to a human teacher because as a teacher you need o relate with the students, and AI can't do that since they are not human ,making it difficult for them to read or notice human emotions .

And yes AI is helpful but for most student it decreases their ability to think, hence AI provides answers to most of of our question .e.g. . Chat gpt, bing AI
Moreover if for example a student feels a slight discomfort or is a bit uneasy with his /her surrounding or mates, AI can't relate and even if they can like the new AI 'sofia' it is not going be because they actually care but because they are programmed.
But I would like to here some thoughts or opinions about the topic.

      1. I agree because... even though Ai will be able to teach more perfection that a regular human teacher regardless ,it couldn't fill the emotion part of being a teacher, for example, telling jokes, talking about personal issues . Just imagine talking to an AI about your difficulties you have with being bullied

    5. I acknowledge this idea because.... we also had a similar discussion in my class, and it was concerning therapeutical jobs e.g. psychology. It remains a fact that the AI lacks emotional intelligence and wouldn't be able to sympathize with humans like other humans could. Workers like sociologists, psychiatrists, therapists and etc. cannot be replaced because this jobs deal with social interactions and of AI's lack of emotional leadership cannot socially disseminate human feelings. AI can assist, but it cannot care. AI can be used to provide various services and support to humans, such as chatbots, personal assistants, health care providers, etc. However, AI cannot establish a genuine rapport or trust with humans, as it lacks the emotional awareness and responsiveness that humans expect and appreciate. AI may fail to address the emotional needs or concerns of humans, resulting in dissatisfaction or frustration.

    6. We also had the same discussion and the discussion made me to have a second thought about my future career and to know whether it would actually exists in the next five years. Well I realized that AI would actually be able to take over my job in the next five years, I actually wanted to become an accountant but with the discussion we had I was able to realize that accountants would no longer be useful in the next five years. With the matter of time AI would be able to replace most jobs that are done by humans.

      1. The AI technology has a low tendency to take the job of an accountant. Remember the job of an accountant is not just about crunching numbers and following rules, it also involves applying professional judgement and ethical standards to particular situations, communicating and collaborating with clients, colleagues and stakeholders. In my own view, the job of an accountant can just be aided by the AI system but not replaced as it cannot replace the human skills and qualities that accountants use to succeed in their profession. AI is able to assist and humans e.g. in calculation and not eradicate their jobs. I believe the benefits only get better.

    7. I disagree..AI can do law since AI cannot lie, manipulate or even do any of the negative human emotions that only humans could do since they don't have emotions that are real. AI can also see if the person that is suing their client is lying the courtroom is lying or not by their state of emotions like if they look nervous, stressed, avoiding eye contact or look frustrated which are signs of lying (AI can also check your heartbeat so if your heart beat is really fast that is also a sign of lying!). Which means that they can give an honest statement while defending their client and also win a case.

      1. That's an interesting viewpoint, aware_violin. But might there be other reasons for somebody in court to be nervous or have a fast heartbeat? Do you think AI is capable of interpreting human emotions correctly?

        1. Thank you for mentioning that Marie! I hadn't thought about that. The plaintiff might have tachycardia (when you have a heart rate that is 100 beats per minute.) which could affect your health but most of all in the courtroom it could affect your speech and head because of shortness of breath and fainting from lightheadedness. If I'm being honest I wouldn't say that an AI can 100% detect a human emotion since they are just robots that don't feel actual human emotions but If I had to agree I would say that they detect human emotions if their emotions are noticeable for an AI.

    8. Hello Everyone,

Recently, my class held a debate on the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and whether it should continue to be developed. My position was that AI should not be pursued. One of the reasons for this is the existence of an AI system called Aaron, which predicts that it will take over the world in the near future. The idea of AI starting off as a helpful tool, but then becoming dominant over humans, is concerning. In addition, there are concerns that AI is constantly listening in on our conversations, and that personal assistant devices like Siri or Alexa could be exploited to spy on us or notify the authorities.

      Thank you.

      1. You introduce a great original point about AI tools being used for surveillance, which is a really interesting topic. Why do you think that this might be bad for the world?

        1. Hello thank you for commenting on my reply
The Rapid Evolution of AI: A Double-Edged Sword
While AI's rapid evolution is impressive, it could have detrimental effects on the world. The idea that AI is capable of assisting or destroying us is both fascinating and frightening. The possibility of such scenarios often imports fear in me.

    9. If an artificial intelligence system was to be a lawyer it would be improper for it to defend someone in court because of its lack of emotion. But on the other hand, an AI could help in the field of law by generating composed presentations based on data given. I feel that an AI could help or take over any job that is repetitive and does not require much creativity such as data entry and bookkeeping but fortunately or unfortunately The job of a lawyer is not such a job.

      1. Your point about creativity is very interesting. Why can humans do this better than AI, in your opinion?

        1. I believe that humans are better than AI in the area of creativity because an AI works only based on its program and it is impossible to make an AI creative because of its bond with its code. But humans on the other hand were created to be able to create new things because of our ability to think unlike an AI who can only act based on its code- so flexibility and adaptability set humans miles apart from Artificial intelligence.

    10. invigorated anteater, your talk really did sound pleasant to me. We had debate too but my job was robotics engineering. We all in my class came to realise that human beings are the one creating robots and we only tell them what to do by coding. Robots can help to do so many things but cannot take care of the equipment used in creating robots. They must be a need for human input in creating new robots right, What do you think?

    11. I agree because... A human right activist fight's for the right's of humans and if the (AI,ROBOTS) are not humans i do not think that robots would be listened to considering the fact that they are robots and not humans

    12. We did a sillier thing. We wrote a job a on whiteboard and went around the room writing on different peoples whiteboards what qualities are needed for that job. We then debated whether ai or people would be better suited to do that job. Then we drew how we think ai could do that job and what it could look like

      1. What did you learn from this activity?

    13. I agree. It would be strange to see technology fighting along side humans, espesially for humans. With the law, would AI want rights for robots? A court a case might be the misuse of AI , what do you think an AI would say about that? One of the jobs we debated that AI would take over or not was was a singer/songwriter. We disscused if it was playguism or not since tecnically they cannot generate new and original ideas. In the end we desided that most jobs would be better done by humans.

    14. I agree because... AI can do our jobs better because they don't get tired and can work 24/7. They can also be great for businesses as people can make very good companies for this. There would be no need for a human that can only work a 9-5 job and needs food and water to function and continue the job. With AI replacing humans there would also be no need for a break time as they would continue to work and make money for the company.

This information is great for business but there are some downsides because you would need to know how to code the AI to work all day and night or would have to pay big money for someone to code the AI but also making sure nothing happens to it like a malfunction or getting water on it.
The AI can also be hacked easily and stop the businesses entirely because they have no human employees. So, in conclusion AI is amazing but the downsides over way the advantages so it would be better to have human employees.

      1. I agree because... AI can complete many tasks at a time and work 24 hours a day, seven days a week and don't get tried and don't need to get paid. But there are disadvantage too like:

Overwhelming task: Even though we think robots love to always to have something to do but that doesn't to be the case. For instance ,a KnightScope K5 drown it's self in Washington D.C Foundation as it seemed to tired of being a security guard.

Prone To Bugs : Some robots could come into contact with the virus and bugs which would cause them to malfunction. For instance, a malfunctioned mall robot tackled a toddler.

        1. Can you give a source for the report you read about the Knight Scope K5, rational-sealion?

    15. I completely agree with you. Since we did the exact same thing in class and the job lawyer also came up, I also had quite a lot of information and opinions to think about and reflect on and build my own. I believe that especially for lawyers, the interpersonal relationship with their client plays a huge part. It determines how much a client will share and how well they will work with you in court in order to achieve the least punishment for your client or the hardest punishment for the offender.

  • AI Will definitely enhance learning (education)in the area of speed, because some machines that you can talk directly to or ask question directly and they will reply are now available, now reducing the student and teachers the stress of checking textbook and gathering other materials.
You now see that with the help of AI, learning have improved from normal siting, looking at board and waiting for teachers to come.you can now learn without coming to class with the help of AI and we also learn without carrying too much materials around just like the people of the 18th century does.

    1. I strongly agree with this point . In addition to it, I feel AI can advance a students learning by analyzing data on each students strengths and weaknesses and then teaching them based on that result ; especially for disabled students.

    2. I also agree to this because, we students have complained a lot of times about some very necessary needs and also wants. Like for example, making notes available for download, because the stress we go through just copying notes is really draining. So with the help of AI on our gadgets, we could just download the note with no much stress at all.

      1. I strongly agree with you on the issue of copying notes .It is really stressful and time consuming. So if teachers make the notes using their gadgets, they can post it online for students to download and read.

    3. I agree with this comment because AI are basically designed or built to enlighten or enhance a person's knowledge on a particular issues. Students can use AI to learn more about difficult questions and AI will surely give you the right answer. Students can still use it for learning, even the learning of other languages has now become easier because of the use of AI. So I think that AI can positively affect our society.

    4. That, I strongly disagree because the use of AI in education may render more employment to those in the society because in the society we have more of teachers as occupation. So I just think that AI should be made only for the part of notes, marking notes using practicals and experiments in the section of education thanks

      1. I agree with your perspective because I believe AI should compliment rather than replace teachers. Integrating AI for instructional materials can enhance teaching, guiding educators and optimizing the learning process. This collaborative process would ensure that both AI and auntie just can work together to bring out the best in the teaching profession , facilitating a deeper understanding for students.

    5. I do agree with this point.Today AI is playing a vital role in every human's day to day life.AI is also helping the students to learn. Some students don't understand what their teacher are trying to make them learn and can't grab what topic they are studying, learning. So here AI becomes a personalized teacher/trainer for any student which can continuously teach until we didn't get it.By which confidence in students automatically promote having the vibe"I can do it" and we students also can give our feedback to AI without any hesitation. And Today in 21st century also not everyone can afford a personalized tutor to get knowledge about any topic, where AI has became a teacher for each and every students in the world which is a blessing and also economic friendly for those who can't afford personal teachers.

      1. I found it interesting that you said that AI is a great option for students who can't afford personal tutors. Do you think that technology will make learning more accessible?

        1. Yes, I do think that technology will make learning more accessible because for example if someone is poor at reading something or it's hard for individual to pronounce then AI can change the text to speech by which their listening and speaking power both will be increased.

          1. I strongly disagree with you, because AI is not accessible to people who live in rural areas. Some people do not even know about the existence of AI. Like in other countries most things that are imported from larger and more powerful countries is more expensive due to the strength of other currencies compared to that of the some currencies.

    6. I totally agree with you! Searching for study materials can be a real hassle for students and it takes up so much time. But with the help of AI, students can easily find the materials they need without wasting any precious time. Isn't that amazing? It frees up time for students to focus on other important tasks and activities.

      1. That's interesting to know. Can you share any specific instances where AI has helped you find study materials more efficiently?

        1. Sure. I just wanted to let you know that Chatgpt has been really helpful in finding historical facts for me. I used to search for those history questions on Google and other websites, but I was often disappointed with the results. However, when I tried using Chatgpt, I found all the answers I needed in no time.

          1. The results of Chatgpt are not always reliable. They are not fact-checked or gained from trusted sources. This is often the same with search results on good. How can you be sure that the facts you find online are reliable and true?

            1. That's a great question! While I'm not 100% certain about the answers provided, I do believe in the software that generated them as it is a trusted software. If you happen to know of any other trustworthy websites that can confirm the information, please do let me know. I always appreciate learning new things! And in the future, I'll be sure to double-check the answers on other web pages too, just to make sure we have all the correct information.

              1. Cross-referencing your sources (making sure you can find the same information from another source to check it is true) is a great example of good news-literacy.

    7. Hello,
I agree with you because I feel that the time that students would have used to copy notes, they can use to read or research. Also, the internet is versatile, so nothing can easily get lost. This is to say that the books we use to copy our notes can get lost, be destroyed but when you use the internet as your guide for notes or download it you can still find the note.....so it won't be an effort wasted.
To add to what you have said, from my research the AI can motive students by further improving their learning experience by studying user data. By examining a student's behavior, preferences, seeing their strengths and weakness through this AI can raise the bar for goal achievement once the previous goal has been accomplished and students will want to achieve more goals.

      1. I disagree because... students don't always have to use the internet for every thing as students copy notes means that there is a more likely chance that what is being taught will stick to that persons brain. Yes the internet is versatile but the internet can also be abused. If a person relies on the internet constantly then that person has abused the internet. the net used used to learn, not to copy.

    8. I don't quite support what you are saying because in case of a teacher, AI doesn't have all the qualities. I could name a lot of instances. Look at it this way, your teacher doesn't know you but he/ she just teaches you things that you don't understand, A human would be more clearer through life experiences he/ she understands.

    9. I agree with you on what you said but I also feel that if we rely too much on AI we might get completely dependent over it. While it is important to use AI in today's generation but I also feel relying on it too much wouldn't be good and we would lose sense of reality.

      1. Can you explain further what you mean by losing sense of reality? Could you give examples of this?

        1. If we rely too much on AI, it will consume us and we become habitual of it until we require it for most basic tasks too.

    10. I agree with your point fully because I know AI will enhance education, as humanity nowadays has advanced to a stage where coming to work or going to a cinema becomes weird, as all of these are activities that modern technology allows us to do from the comfort of our home and it would only make sense that after so many years of advancements in other areas that education would advance to that stage aswell.

  • I'd love to share this discussion we had during the classroom discussion.
Our friends raised a curious topic related to AI that "Can AI contribute to artistic and creating endeavors, or is creativity solely a human trait?" Everyone was really excited, and they were mentioning their own opinions.

And we came to conclusion that 'AI can definitely contribute to artistic and creative endeavors. While creativity has traditionally been seen as a human trait, AI has shown the ability to generate artistic works, music, and even write stories. AI algorithms can analyze patterns and generate new ideas, pushing the boundaries of what we consider creative. However, some argue that true creativity involves emotions, intuition, and personal experiences that are unique to humans. So, while AI can assist in the creative process, few friends also believe that the essence of creativity will always remain a human trait. ' What are your opinions on this topic guys, I'd love to hear.

  • Hello everyone!
I would love talk a Little on the aspect of law. During the discussion we had In my class I came to realize the AI's can do the job of a lawyer more efficiently than a lawyer when it comes to the aspect of passing judgement.

    >Firstly the lawyer is human and is prone to forget things after a period of time, while the AI robots have a memory capacity that can last centuries. This helps in the court when there is a case that is similar to one that may have happened before, the robots can easily and quickly go to the file of the old case and pass the accurate and fair judgement according to law.
    >The robots do not have the ability to lie in their favor or to manipulate truth. And remember that any truth that has been manipulated is no longer truth, which manipulation of truth is a skill most lawyers posses. Meaning that any judgement that may be passed by the AI's is fair, based on the laws of that particular state.
    >Some lawyers accept bribe and then they lie to defend their case and some lie because they are stressed and want to do and get over with it. And the AI's would not do this if they are programmed by a transparent programmer.
AI's also do not get stressed out which make them more efficient when the work is much.

    1. Interesting points! That makes me wonder. Do you think AI could have a hard time when there's no past example or the laws are changing fast?

      1. You see, AI's may not have had a chance in the past because of the way our forefathers acted when they got to know of new things.

So AI's are based on the future of thing and nothing of the past, exception is made when the programmers give the AI's ability to go back to the past.

Now to answer your question, we live in a dynamic world, a place which is prone to change, everyone is looking for an easier way to do things, a more efficient way of doing things. In the aspect of law as I said in the post earlier, these things are efficient. Everyone wants the best; nobody would want to be judged by an unfair or illiterate lawyer that is why those things are there.

AI's would not have a hard time if and only if they are programmed by people of integrity. Now since there is a systematic way of doing things, there should be laws and when I say law, I mean standard laws that would be adhered to by everyone, which would guide the use of the AI's, this step is to ensure maximum honesty, fairness and transparent judgement from the AI's, so that no one feels cheated.

        1. Great comment!. in fact this comment fills me with wonder and it leaves me thinking, what if the programmers for these AI's lawyers are not people of integrity. Don't you think that there should be a particular test this AI's should go through?
Don't you also think that these programmers would program this AI lawyers to fight in their favor [directly or indirectly] when ever they are found in the court as clients.

    2. You have a really good point in my country, many people have escaped judgement through bribery. In this case there would be no injustice .

    3. I 'm not sure I would agree, tenacious_robin. Isn't there a danger that robot lawyers could be programmed by humans to manipulate the truth? When judges pass judgement in court cases, they often have to take other things into account as well as the facts, for example the emotional state of the accused person. Do you think AI could do this? I'd be interested to hear your opinion.

      1. Good day Marie,
Let me start by defining the law, The word 'LAW' can be defined as a statement of facts deduced from observation, which everyone is expected to abide by, it can also be defined as a system of rules which a country of community recognizes as regulating the actions of its member, it is a respecter of none.

You said something that caught my attention, "the emotional state of the accused person", As I said the law is superior to everything, everyone it is not a respecter of no one, even the president on the country must abide by the law, so you can see that considering the emotional state of the accused, might be against law, the job of the lawyer is to defend, and give fair judgement and not to lie all in the name of considering the accused emotional state.

You also said something about the programmers of the robots, programming the bots can program them to manipulate truth, right?
Well, I want to tell that it is not any programmer that to allowed to program those robots, specific ones are selected through thorough observation no sane government would allow a programmer that has criminal record to program robots that would be you in the court.

  • In our class, we had a good debate about AI and humans. My group talked about artists. I think a human can be a better artist because humans can express their emotions in a picture and be very creative. We have seen pictures made by renowned artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Claude Monet etc and they were great pictures. AI can only replicate what already exists, it can't make original pictures because of the lack of emotions needed. I know an AI picture can be fabulous but humans have more skills as they came up with the idea to create a robot that has artificial intelligence, so in my opinion, humans are better artists.

    1. I agree with you , that humans can do the job of an artist more than AI. This is because humans are creative in painting and drawing , Humans can put the art in an AI to generate the picture or design . Humans have to input it if not the AI will not generate any pattern or design.

      1. @secure_outcome and @resilient_analysis you both make a good point! Is it just pictures that AI can't replicate? What about other artistic professions such as musicians or hands-on skills like chefs - will AI ever be as good as a human?

        1. Cooking involves using all of the senses, something AI cannot mimic. Thus, when cooking, a chef follows their instincts, such as knowing how much salt to use when seasoning a meal. A recipe may be encoded by robots, but artificial intelligence (AI) lacks a sense of taste, thus it cannot cook like a chef. While AI can just follow a recipe as written, chefs are free to experiment with food in novel ways.
The best musicians will always perform their music in a little new way each time they perform, AI music will be monotonous as they lack this talent, and they will need to comprehend music on all levels to be able to do this.

    2. Such a meaningful or a great thought from secure_outcome. Yes, AI may can generate beautiful arts. But emotions is what lacks in these arts. As secure_outcome mentioned that great artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Claude Monet etc had published great unforgettable or simply memorable piece of art that would be praised for centuries due to the emotions and deep meanings being hidden behind these masterpiece. Yes, AI may will be able to create some comparitively good arts but it will lack emotion the most. Moreover, AI's art is initially inspired by artists(human). And surely, humans have great akill in art. Ican surely say so by examining masterpiece created in the history.

  • We in Bomas Academy, we had a debate on AI and humans, which one was more efficient than the others and most people chose AI over human beings because they were thought to be more efficient than the other face.
We hung papers with jobs descriptions that humans do and we had a debate on whether humans an do the job better or humans can do the job better.

I think AI is better, if not even perfect. A robot is programmed to get information quicker, process data faster and find files faster. When you use apps like Chat GPT it finds it very fast and is sometimes accurate, that is why when you tell it to create a picture it will create it easily. So that is why I think AI is better than human beings.

AI is more accurate and fast, they do not need to take breaks at intervals because they were not programmed to at like human beings.they also don't need to worry about family, friends and relatives that is why they can work at night and not even get tired or sleepy , they also don't need to get worried about getting paid, that preserves money for the organization, they also don't need to worry about family issues.

AI is also needed to program and create softwares and apps on various devices, when programmed it helps scientists to create and analyze anti-viruses and install them into new devices like laptops, phones, tablets e.t.c

  • We had a good debate in my class as it has to do with robotic engineering, though in my opinion, I think humans can perform the job better because humans created robots and humans are better at dealing with physical tasks. Although, AI can also play a very important role in the robotic engineering because if the task involves analyzing large amounts of data or making decisions based on data AI might be the best. I also think that AI and humans are better when they work together as they both play important roles and both have different task to perform. Another way of saying this is that they are both important in this particular job, robotic engineering, it is obvious that humans created AI but it still does not change the fact that AI might be able to think and sort out things better than humans. In addition to this I think that if AI and humans combine their knowledge, they will a greater impact and add more to the world at large. They will also be able to improve and shed more light on robotic engineering.

    1. That's very interesting, why would you say that?

      1. Sorry for the late response!
I said that because, AI cannot efficiently carry out task all alone. It always need a support system because all these devices have been programmed by human beings and the machines still need humans to give their inputs and command. There will definitely be no machines or robots without humans! Another important thing to note is that most of this AI need upgrade and bug fix, for every invention made there is always a need to correct or fix something that was forgotten in the earlier creation so the developers still have roles to play.
Furthermore, in some jobs like fashion designing, these machines could be used to help design, cut and even place some appliques but I will still say strongly that humans need to still put their inputs in the areas of the exact fitting because their clients have different body shapes and curves. One measurement could be used for three people but the result will come out different because of the different body shapes,it is the job of the designer look at those areas that need adjustments according to the clients curves to bring out a good style. So if its left to just the AI, it has provided the design based on instruction but might not have the ability to do the finishing touches.

  • The lesson I had with my teacher opened my eyes. I never liked AI but I learnt about its advantage. Though I still believe that AI cannot replace humans I now think it will be a very big help. AI has the ability to reduce human error, make very fast decisions, it is very efficient and can also perform repetitive jobs. AI is really cool.
I had a debate with a friend about AI replacing humans. I was opposing this fact. I agree that AI is cool but I believe that humans are way cooler because AI was created by humans. A proverb I love says "the student can never replace the master". AI can never replace humans not in a million years.
Another reason why I believe AI cannot replace humans is the fact that AI is limited by the data it receives and does not have the ability to adapt to new situations. Human reasoning, adaptability and creativity cannot be replicated or replaced by machines. Skills like teamwork, creativity, adaptability, communication and so on give humans an advantage over AI.

    1. A brilliant proverb! I see you strongly believe that AI will never replace humans but what do you mean by "replace humans"? What would it look like if AI replaces humans?

      1. Well, some people have the idea that when AI fully comes into the picture humans will be displaced and have no job to do in the world. They believe that AI will do everything for us. This is impossible.
I am not really sure if it is a stage scientists are trying to get to but if it is, it will be really bad for so many reasons. If it were to come to a world where AI did everything then humans will be lazy. If AI were to completely replace humans, there will also be economic disruption. Yes I agree that AI has the potential to automate many jobs and industries but if AI were to take over humanity, it could lead to widespread job loss and economic instability, which could have a great effect throughout society. If scientists are to have their way and AI were to become super intelligent and surpass human intelligence it could become difficult for us to control it. This could lead to a case in which AI decides to pursue its own goals which may not align with our own. AI could also pose significant security risks. AI will gain the ability to access sensitive information or weapons and use them to cause harm to humans.
This is what the world will look like if AI replaces humans.

  • hello everyone,
In my class we had lots of debates and I personally learnt lots of things. We talked about 'if AI will come will it take over all jobs or it will help the humans ,we also debated on the topics like what job could AI do better than Humans and we agreed that both AI and humans will do great things in the future. AI is going to do lots of helpful things to the world and i believe that with help of AI the world we be great.

    1. Great to hear about your discussions! Can you go a little further and provide some examples... how do you think AI will be helpful? What great things might be achieved with AI?

  • In my own understanding, the benefits of AI includes;
    In educational level:
AI will enhance the level of education in future because it will make learning very easy for the teachers and the students in terms of making research through the use of softwares like Siri, Alexa, chart GPT and so on.

    In sports level:
It helps to enhance the skills of the athletes where by the AI helps to train them on how to become better and also helps in recording actions that took place at that period of time. A good example of that is VAR ( Visual Assistant Referee).

    In health aspect:
AI helps in health sector, it can help in easy accessibility of patience file. For example, in my country, before a doctor attends to you, you must have your file available.
It also helps in carrying out surgeries and some major operations carried out in some modern hospitals.

In engineering aspect ( mechanical engineering for example):
AI has also improve engineering through the production of pulleys, lifter machines that help you in jacking up a car for you to fix a car.
Imagine how you will jack a trailer truck for you to fix a device that is having fault.

In terms of farming, AI is really doing a wonderful job in that because, it makes work faster and very easy. Last week saw a machine that can clear about 50 plots of land in an hour.

In conclusion, the general impression is that Artificial Intelligence is doing a great job in our life but will not take over human intelligence in future but rather enhance the level of productivity in our day to day life.

    1. Well said nice_eagle.
AI has been playing an increasingly important role in all fields of life. Starting from the Medical field down to hotels. It takes AI for a robot to be directed.
Even AI works in the Educational field as you've mentioned earlier. We use websites that has AI in answering Assignments.Which leads me to an incident where my teacher was admonishing us and she was like we shouldn't try to use Chat GPT for external exams that there is an AI that as been made to catch the AI in Chat GPT that supplies students with answers. This is confusing right??
My question is "How is it so possible? because the human brain is behind all these source

  • Hi everybody!
In my class today, there was a lively discussion about whether AI can educate others.
Some people in my class believed that AI would be able to teach shortly, while others said that only a human can teach because we experience emotions and feelings we can also adapt to change in a classroom.
It was overwhelming that AI could do such a thing as teach, but at the end of the discussion, we all decided that AI can help teach but cannot be left in charge of a classroom not even an extremely advanced AI like Sophia.
Jobs that AI excels at were discussed, such as building and constructing jobs that humans excel at therapy and therapists were talked about because of the heavy lifting and emotional involvement involved in each job.
Did anyone else have a discussion and if so what was it about?
I would love to hear your opinions on topics that you went through!

  • AI is likely going to take over most of the jobs in the world today including teaching because of the the high level of productivity.
In Nigeria, I think is going to take over part of the teaching jobs. Why I said part of the teaching jobs is that AI won't be able to read human emotions in the sense that a student might not be able to understand what the AI is saying and AI can't detect whether a student is paying attention or not.
I think AI will take over most of the jobs we have in Nigeria and what we are going to do is to acquire knowledge on some jobs like computer programmer, website developer etc.
Also, one of the job that will help us in the future about AI is to learn how to fix it when it got damaged because, in Nigeria, it is very difficult to find a person that can fix gadgets properly and imagine when AI take over most of the jobs in the world and only few knows how to fix them whenever it gets spoilt.

  • After the class discussion with my classmates and teacher, I gained more insights into the positive and negative impact of AI. Initially I believed AI could be more advantageous but a perspective shift occurred when someone highlighted the potential replacement of car drivers with electric cars. This made me realize that search a transition could significantly reduce environmental pollution caused by petrol driven cars mitigating the negative effect of climate change. This new found perspective has influenced my stands on the benefits of AI.

  • Hello Everybody,
In my classroom, my classmates and I had a lively debate about how ai might change the future of work and education. Some of us believed that ai would replace many jobs that humans currently do, while others argued that ai would create new job opportunities that require human skills like creativity and social interaction. We also discussed whether ai would make education more efficient by providing personalized learning experiences, but we agreed that it could not replace the importance of human learning and education, as ai's learning is limited to the data it is trained on and cannot replicate human learning, which involves critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.

throughout the lesson, I realized the importance of creativity in engaging with the news. Creativity allows us to think critically about the news and to develop our own perspectives on issues. It also helps us to communicate our ideas effectively and to find new solutions to problems. In the lesson, we practised steps like brainstorming, mind mapping, and sketching to develop our creativity. These steps helped us to generate new ideas and to think outside the box. By developing our creativity, we can better engage with the news and make informed decisions about important issues.

    1. That's super interesting to know your thoughts. Can you think of specific examples where you believe human skills are absolutely essential and cannot be replaced by AI in the learning process?

      1. A doctor is a person who is certified and has some level of experience in practising medicine to help maintain, cure, or restore physical and mental health. A doctor can interact with his/her patients when examining them in the hope of finding a possible cause or reason for their illness while giving his/her patient emotional support and empathy. Robots, on the other hand, cannot show empathy, even in an auto reply generated Al doctor, they don't have such powerful brains to comprehend human feelings therefore they cannot compete with a human ability to understand what they see. For example, picture a theatre room where a doctor is operating on a patient with appendicitis and the doctor discovers something else or some kind of complication, such a doctor due to years of experience will result in critical thinking and problem solving to help such a patient which an Al doctor lacks. I believe in this scenario human skills are absolutely essential and cannot be replaced by AI.

  • Hello everyone!
In my class today, we had a discussion about whether AI can educate others and help us with things around us.
Some students in my class agreed that AI would be able to teach in no time, whiles others said that only a human can teach because we understand emotions and feelings.
It was so interesting and fantastic that AI could do such a thing as teaching ,working in industries etc…, at the end of the discussion, we all agreed that AI can help us teach or learn.
Jobs that require Artificial Intelligence were discussed, such as constructing and building jobs ,jobs that require emotions and etc.
Did anyone else have a discussion, and in that case what did you discuss about?
I would be glad to hear your opinions!

  • Good day all,
During an I.C.T class I had sometime last year, we talked about how so many jobs will seize to exist in the coming future due to the A.I, I came to a realization that all though A.I has and will make our lives significantly easier, tons of people will be left jobless due to this. So, if I want to stay relevant or rather pick a Career, it would have to be one that can not be taken by A.I or one that will be always relevvant for instance, doctors, lawyers, nurses and soon. So what that new knowledge, I had to really think about what I really wanted to become and I hope you do too.

    1. Interesting perspective @sincere_honeydew, thank you for sharing. I noticed you stated that in order to stay relevant in the job market one needs to pick a career that will not be overtaken by AI. Can you provide more examples?

    2. I would also like to side with sincere honeydew A.I might be a helper and may reduce the load of work that an employee has to do but at a consequence A.I will not only make work easier it may also end up replacing humans who have the job making them unemployed, Hey they might not even have a way to take care of their families and will have to look for a different job one that A.I cannot do, and the new job might not be as paying as the last one.

    3. Well said charming_artist.
Due to the rise of A.I, many jobs have lost their relevance, and quite a few jobs have gained relevance. For instance, retail workers, cashiers etc have slowing lost their need with the drastic rise of online shopping, as well as assembly line workers. But jobs such as Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist are more sought out for because, they create the A.I we use. Teachers, Doctors and Lawyers as well.
if you notice the trend, manual jobs, jobs that require physical effort, have lost relevance and have been taken over by A.I, for reasons like, being safer, cheaper and more productive as well.
Jobs that require creativity, reasoning are more sought out for.
So, I feel when we choose our careers it should be one that require us to think, be creative and soon.
      Hope that helps.

  • Yes,we had lots of debates . Especially on how education might need to change due to the rapid evolution of AI. Based on the debates, education would need to change and has even began to change due to the fast development
of AI in the society. Students now use AI to conduct more research on topics taught in schools. Soon enough we would be able to find AI in classrooms lecturing students. I see a future with the possibilities of AI leading the way in education.

  • I have always aspired to be a medical doctor. However concerns about AI initially made me fear that my role might be diminish in the face of advancing technology. Through class discussions I have come to understand that AI can enhance but not replace my capabilities.
It is exciting to envision a future where AI aids in surgery, detect illnesses and makes my job as a doctor more efficient.

    1. Thank you for your interesting input @precious_swan. What part of a doctor's job role do you think cannot be replaced by AI?

      1. Robots(AI) cannot replace EMPATHY.
That's because empathy is all about building trust, listening intently to the other person, paying attention to their feelings and needs, and being compassionate and responsive in a manner that the other person feels understood

AI also cannot perform complex surgeries that require human dexterity and creativity; hence, AI could be best used as a technology to enhance and assist human doctors, rather than to substitute them. There are certainly human reasons why machines won't supplant human physicians and surgeons.

  • For that fact that AI has benefits does not mean it doesn't have disadvantages.
    The adverse effect of Artificial Intelligence includes;

There will be job displacement and unemployment in the society in the the sense that robots are likely going to take over most of the jobs in the country.
Most of the underdeveloped countries in the western part of Africa are likely going to suffer from abject poverty and loss of lives and properties.
In terms of unemployment, you will find out that teachers, chefs, accountants, and even farmers will not not doing because AI has taken over their jobs from them which leads to hunger and shortage of resources like foods in the country.

Also, Artificial Intelligence are very expensive and consumes a lot of money and resources to create a machine that mimick or can stimulate human intelligence. It also requires plenty of time to do that.

One other factor that contributes to the adverse effects of AI in the world is that it increases laziness in humans and makes them be addicted to it.

Humans find it difficult to perform a task without the use of AI.For example, a students is been given an assignment about a particular topic instead of the student to think outside the box by making use of text books and going to the library, the students will depend on chart GPT, Siri etc for him/ her to get the assignment done.
Also, human beings find it difficult to go to their working places or shops because they believe AI is there to do the job for them and in a situation where by you have a visitor, I don't think the AI will attend to the visitor.

Further more, AI will not able to feel or understand human emotions; I don't think there is any gain making an AI a teacher because it can't be able to detect whether a student is paying attention or not or whether a student is understanding what is been thought in class or not.

In conclusion, what am trying to say is that AI has disadvantages has not been balance the way it should in the sense that in terms of education, the school managements should regulate the use of Artificial Intelligence in schools before students gets addicted to it.

    THANKS.

  • Just last year, my school held a debate on whether AI would be a blessing or a curse to humans, and seeing this conversation being brought up again, I had a change of heart. I feel that when most people hear this, they would think AI is more of a blessing, and while it has very strong benefits, its disadvantages are real.
Firstly, it could contribute to carbon footprint. How you may ask? AI requires a large amount of energy to train and run AI models. A report made by the University of Massachusetts Amherst found that training a single AI model can emit more than 626,000 pounds of carbon dioxide equivalent. As we continue to engross in artificial intelligence, it could bring us back to our number one problem of today, Climate Change. It could also help combat climate change, such as fighting wildfires, identifying and recovering recyclables and conserving water, but will these be enough to make up for the issue its creating?
Secondly, AI could potentially reduce employment rates. I find myself drawn to this point the most, as poverty is a deadly problem in my country Nigeria as well as all other countries of the world. In 2019, being in poverty was 10x more of a mortality risk than murder, 4.7x more than firearms and 2.6x as deadly as drug overdoses. In 2023, AI was said to replace 90,000 jobs growing to 2.4 million by 2030. In May 2023, 3900 US job losses were linked directly to AI and 14% of workers have already experienced job displacement due to automation or AI. Jobs such as customer service has already begun to be taken over by AI, and very soon, it will displace jobs in other industries such as the cleaning, medical and entertainment industry. As these jobs begin to disappear, what will the poorer people in the economy depend on as a source of income? How many people will have to undergo training again to find other jobs?
Of course, AI would bring in its several benefits too, but these are the points i think we should begin to consider. How ready are we to adapt to the changes AI would make to our lifestyles? Are there any questions i have made that you would like to answer? Did you learn anything new? Do you have any arguments to the points I've made? Thank you all for viewing and please share your comments down below.

    1. An interesting argument, and I'm pleased you were open to changing your mind. Where did you get your statistics from? It's always important to cite your sources so that other people can trust your information and research for themselves.

      1. Hey.
I found all my statistics on Google while researching the following points, I'm not too sure about the websites though. AI also helps gathering of information for research like these more convenient, but I always make sure to understand what I'm doing than copying and pasting information because it wouldn't prove of benefit to me.

  • Hi everyone, The discussion in my class was about some technology related-professions eventually,we came across AI
and some professions that would or wouldn't be taken over by it. We had an extensive and interesting discussion and I personally don't think AI can replace human's in all aspects. For example, it can take over manufacturing jobs, transportation and delivery, data processing , however, jobs like leadership, teaching , creative arts and laboratory science cannot be taken over by AI.

    1. Hello @ gentle dragon fruit,
With all respect, I'm not sure about this because... from my recent research, I have seen that AI was made for exactly this purpose and from the recent updates, AI is only going to keep getting better and better making the chances of jobs such as leadership, creative arts and laboratory science completely teachable by AI.

    2. AI has indeed automated many jobs in manufacturing, delivery, and data processing. However, creativity, leadership, and scientific discovery are still primarily human domains. I believe that the future will involve a collaboration between humans and AI, where our strengths are combined to achieve even greater things.

  • Hello!
AI to me is not a new word rather than a reminder reminded all over to me by my father almost every day. When our teacher first introduce AI to us, I already have a little or less knowledge about what he thought us in the classroom. My dream one day is to become a successful Engineer who builds and create things that will simplify people's work and create stress-free environment. I really love how my teacher help us in learning much more and digging so deeply in to AI so that we may reach our dream destination.

    1. Hi! Thank you for sharing your views! Could you please give an example on how you can use AI to achieve your dream?

      1. Hi Afifah,
I can use AI in achieving my dream like for example it will help me operate the machine, and identify the broken parts in the machine andfinding the optimal shape of a mechanical part. Also in assisting in simulating and analyzing complex engineering systems.
        Thanks👷‍♂️.

        1. Hi, thank you for sharing how AI can help you achieve your dream - you have mentioned some interesting points. So, do you think that AI will help assisting you and help you in operating the machines more effectively?

          1. Hi Afifah!
It will assist me in operating the machines more effectively through task automation, data analysis for informed decisions, assistance in medical diagnosis.
            Thanks👷🏽

  • Certainly, engaging in debates with my classmates about how AI might change the future of work or education has been enlightening. We've explored the potential benefits of AI, such as increased efficiency, personalized learning experiences, and the automation of repetitive tasks in the workforce. On the flip side, concerns about job displacement, ethical considerations, and the need for maintaining a human touch in education have sparked thought-provoking discussions. It's fascinating to navigate the complexities of these topics, considering both the opportunities and challenges that AI presents. These debates have fostered a deeper understanding of the evolving role of AI in shaping the future landscape of work and education.

  • I think AI and Human can do the job of mechanical engineering. I say this because AI brings powerful abilities to mechanical engineering to excel in tasks like calculations and patterns.it analyses data and designs.AI is good with numbers, patterns and designs machines faster. Mechanical engineers use AI tools like python, CAD (computer-aided design), IBM watsonx etc. to design machines. On the other hand, Humans are also good with thinking outside the box. Humans are creative, they can imagine, solve problems. However, combining human intelligence with AI efficiency allows in optimal results.

  • Renan J Wazhi
I think that I will be In agreement with the robots because in the case of the blacksmithing I stand to agree that robots will do the job better than humans. Blacksmiths are people who create metallic tools, sculptures and other items such as rings and crowns. I believe that robots will carry out such tasks better than humans because of the following points.
    1) Robots can be programmed not to hibernate.
    2) Robots do not get tired or need rest
    3) Robots have no emotions and hence work will not be interrupted
    4) Robots cannot cheat someone out of their money unless they are programmed to do so
    5) Robots are programmed to be more accurate and in a job like blacksmithing, accuracy is paramount
    6) Robots can be programmed to be ambi-dexterous
    7) Robots are more reliable than humans because they are programmed to carry out a task within the given period of time
This is why I think that robot are better than human in the business of blacksmithing. With AI on the lead of blacksmithing the revenue and efficiency of the job will be through the roof. Blacksmithing will gain popularity in the world of business as more people will want to venture in to the business.

    1. Thanks for your comment, wonderous_skill. Can you think of any downsides to robots being blacksmiths?

  • My classmates and I all concluded that AI needs to be the next change in the school system. We all jointly agreed on this because every day there are new technological advancements and even though there have been many massive changes and the school system hasn’t even changed in the last 50 years as the classrooms today look almost the same while everything around it has changed as people, we need to learn to adapt to new advancements and as schools we need to teach and give children as the next generation a head start to prepare them for the future not the past. As the world around us changes so do the people in it and a wise man once said the only thing constant is change and everything needs to adapt and change to thrive in this quickly advancing world of our that is why I feel and strongly believe that AI should be what should revolutionize the concept of a school.

    1. Can you give some examples of how you could use AI in your classroom to "revolutionise the concept of a school"?

      1. To answer that question I believe, in the case of a classroom, a platform like ChatGPT would enable a teacher to create images that could usually not be easily explained or give very specific information that an internet search might not be able to provide you with, for example a specific definition of a particular topic, or a particular class and curriculum. As for the concept of visualization for proper analysis, it will allow someone to generate images that, again you cannot normally search online to give students a proper thought on what that object may look like.

  • Technology is dominating the world and society as we know it. So, I think that technology can both take and create jobs. It has replaced many labour-intensive tasks, such as oil drilling, while also generating new jobs that are now essential for contemporary living. Technology has impacted the world in both negative and positive ways, contributing to the development of resources in each country, such as crypto trading. In conclusion, I believe that technology can both create and eliminate jobs.

  • I would lean towards choosing robots/AI in certain situations. Robots/AI lack the emotional experiences inherent in human work, making them less prone to emotional fluctuations. While doctors provide medical assistance to those in need, I doubt a robot could effectively replace a doctor's role. Robots operate with a fixed mindset, meaning that if an error occurs during a surgical procedure, they would persist in their programmed actions without understanding the emotional impact on the patient. In contrast, a doctor, equipped with experience, would know how to handle unforeseen challenges. I believe a collaborative approach, involving the supervision of a doctor and the knowledge of a robot, can yield optimal results.

  • The education system has evolved alongside the changing world, with technology playing a pivotal role in its transformation. Despite technological advancements that have improved and redesigned the way education is delivered, some schools are resistant to adapting to this new system. In my opinion, if education fails to embrace these changes, its value diminishes. Education serves as the key to numerous opportunities, but without adaptation, it becomes ineffective.

The shift in education has ushered in a better world. Traditional classroom attendance is no longer the sole means of learning; now, individuals can acquire knowledge virtually using devices such as phones, laptops, tablets, and more. As the education system undergoes these changes, the methods and content of education are also being transformed.

    1. You mention that we're now able to learn on devices. How could AI be more integrated into your classroom?

  • Greetings, all,

In my opinion, AI proves more efficient in performing tasks because it operates without the need for compensation. Unlike humans, AI systems do not require breaks, sleep, or meals to carry out their duties. Human efficiency in the workplace is often contingent upon taking necessary breaks, getting adequate sleep, and maintaining a proper diet. Additionally, humans have personal obligations, such as family responsibilities, that can limit their availability for continuous work. In contrast, AI can work tirelessly around the clock, potentially enhancing the production of items like cars and other robotic systems.

  • hello everyone!
during our class discussion, at first I was certain that all jobs will someday be taken over by AI systems, but by the time we were done I figured out that apparent AI can't possibly take over all jobs because of the level of creativity and critical thinking skills that humans posses

  • Hey everyone,
In my school, after picking different professions, we argued if AI would do the job better than the humans. I was in a group that picked tailoring and I was of the opinion that AI can perform the job better than humans. This is because AI can perform tasks more accurate and faster than humans do. In tailoring, once a design is being programmed into the machines or AI, one can be sure that there will be no room for mistakes. Thereby, providing efficiently and accurately to meet up with demands from the customers.
If there is anyone who feels differently about my view, I will be happy to have a discussion.

  • Hi Guys,
We had a brief discussion on how technology might take and make jobs. Technology might make AI proof jobs or online jobs. AI would do it way better than human and do not make as many mistakes like humans. Technology might take jobs like blacksmithing, mechanical work, and engineering. This is my take on the discussion. I would love to hear from anyone.

  • Good afternoon guys,
I think that AI can do the job better because they don’t need to be paid to do the job. Also, they don’t need to sleep, eat or take breaks to do the job. But humans need to take breaks, sleep and eat for them to do the job efficiently. Robots don’t have family that they have to go home to so they can work all day and night so that will improve the manufacturing of cars, other robots etc. Therefore because AI does not have ties like families or friends and do not get tired, they are much more reliable.

  • In our school group we chose the job of a tailor.
I think AI can perform the job better because an AI controlled-tailor can do many more things that a human tailor can't do.
AI tailors can analyze the different styles, colors, and patterns way faster and better than human tailors can.
They can also perform their tasks the way they are supposed to, they do it correctly because they have been programmed for that particular task to their costumers preferences.
AI'S can make up and bring up new designs for their costumers when connected to the internet and hooked up to social media for them to scan for new designs, illustrations and patterns.
They also don't need to take breaks at given periods or intervals because they were not programmed to mimic the ways if humans.
    EXAMPLES
In Speed; In a tailoring factory, the owner hires AI'S as workers, the owner made a good deal because the AI doesn't need to worry about family or not being paid, but instead they focus in their works. They will.be ways faster than humans in clothes production, they can produce in multiples, mass production because the AI is more efficient in speed.
In Accuracy; When their costumers arrive the AI is given a certain task, they perform it well and accurately in accordance to their costumers designs because they have been programmed to finish up that particular task to their costumers preferences.

    1. Hi 👋 everyone,
Our class had a great debate of the jobs AI would take over and we all agreed that it makes life easier and faster but we should not be totally dependent on it so that we can be able to make use of brain critically. I suggest that AI would probably take over jobs like,
      1. Engineering
      2. Banking
      3. Project managing
      4. Telemarketing
      5. Accounting
      6. Coding
      7. Bookkeeping
      8. Software developer
      9. Graphic designing.
      10. Event managing.
      AI would not take over,
      1. Therapy and counselling.
      2. Social works.
      3. Music.
      4. Leadership roles.
      5. Performing arts.
      Thanks

  • Hello!
Well in my class we had a very insightful, engaging and entertaining discussion about our dream jobs and how AI could impact our jobs both negatively and positively. For instance someone who wanted to become an accountant said he could use AI to better the speed and efficiency of the banking sector but one area of focus I found in my class was regarding the law aspect.
In my class some people argued that AI was better in law as it was not a human and therefore could see through or see from a different perspective than humans but another group said that AI could not even perform the legal aspect of things and these is because they do not express the feelings and emotions of humans.
This was a very insightful talk as I got to feel a bit of the varying perspectives on the use of AI and I got to get a different learning experience than I would outside what I would get in a conventional classroom setup.

    1. That sounds like a very interesting discussion. Did anyone consider that the AI could "learn" to discriminate depending on what information it is given and by whom? This could be a potential problem when using it in the field of law. What do you think?

  • This actually came up as a debate between my classmate and I, this is actually my opinion on this topic. AI has the potential to enhance the work of robotic engineers by automating some processes of tasks and also reduce ambiguous work. However, human expertise is needed for creative thinking and solving tricky problems. AI cannot do critical thinking, neither can it show empathy like humans.
Don't get me wrong here, I am a huge fan of AI because, robots can do mundane, undertake repetitive and dangerous tasks because they are not at the risk of getting hurt of falling and dying due to stunts. Although humans are more reliable and convey emotions, they could fail or breakdown when the pressure gets high. frequently. AI can undergo difficult and daring task and provide efficiency when it comes to robotic engineering.
AI can only complement the work of robotic engineers rather than completely replace them.

  • No, AI will not take over all the jibls in the world because, robots will require human to control, regulate and manage them. Also, it is important to state that it is not all the jobs that can be efficiently done by robots.

In education level, what I have to point out is that the education of today should lay greater emphasis on digital literacy, integration of technology in teaching, focus on critical thinking for solution problem, project based learning, software skill development and priontize global and also cultural awareness
    Thanks.

  • Yes, well at the beginning of this all, I had the mindset that AI was not good at all, but in the course of this, I realized how it could be an aid to us and all our activities.

  • Hello everyone!
During my class we had a really intersting discussion about the artificial intelligence. In 24th century everyone are develop and sucessful even artificial intelligence are also developed in the speed of the light and now days every thing is possible due to the AI . AI are mostly using for research to make new technology even the teachers are using AI for teaching nowdays every things are very easy to solve. Now days robot are getting developed but i feel wrong about the robots because they are replacing the humans . My teacher told us that untill 2050 people will be living on mars i was in awe that with the help of AI people can live on mars if the people can live in mars than AI is the powerful thing we shouldn't misuse it .
    THANKS

    1. What did you discuss about AI in your classroom? Did you have any good debates you could share?

  • AI, the most prevalent topic in this century. It's the most useful technology for the development of work and education.
AI has the potential to significantly reshape the future of work and education across various sectors. In the workplace, AI can automate routine tasks, allowing employees to focus on more creative and complex aspects of their jobs. This may lead to increased efficiency and productivity. In education, AI can personalize learning experiences, adapting to individual student needs and providing tailored feedback. Virtual tutors, educational apps, and AI-driven platforms can enhance the learning process, making education more accessible and adaptable. However, the integration of AI also raises concerns about job displacement and the need for upskilling. It's crucial for organizations and educational institutions to prepare individuals for the evolving job market by fostering skills that complement AI, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Overall, AI has the potential to revolutionize how we work and learn, but careful consideration and proactive measures are necessary to address challenges and ensure a positive impact on society.

  • I had a discussion about AI and our future dream jobs. When most people (including me) hear AI, all they think about is how it makes their jobs easier, more accurate and faster, which is good, however the future is coming. After an immense period of deliberative reflection, we came up with a conclusion which indeed changed our perspectives towards emerging technologies. If things are to continue to go on as they are now, in the future, so many organizations and industries will have had AI incorporated into their workforce. This would cause people to lose their jobs, but that is not the only obstacle. People may not acquire the occupation they spent an extensive period to study, work hard and aspire for because these occupations may have most likely been dominated by AI. Artificial Intelligence is growing everyday, and there is no guarantee that humans would still have certain jobs in the future. An example is doctoring. The world needs doctors, no matter the state of a country's economy. Becoming a certified doctor can take years, making it one of the longest running courses of the entirety of being a student. However, today, we have robots controlled by AI that can perform surgeries faster and more efficiently than an individual who devoted more than 7 years of their life towards learning how to perform these surgeries. This would cause a enormous loss of self esteem by humans now and in years to come.

  • Hello everyone!
As all of us know that the 21st century I full of AI. AI is helping a lot to humans. , AI has the potential to bring out a revolution to industries and improve efficiency. AI enhance our daily lives through personalized enperinces. AI-powered virtual assistants, recommendation systems, and personalized advertisements helps making our interactions with technology more simple . For example, virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa can perform tasks, answer questions, and provide information, simplifying our daily routines and saving time. By enhancing the potential of AI, we can unlock new possibilities and create a better future for all.

  • As we know the most discussed topic around the world in this century is AI ( Artificial Intelligence ). AI can replace humans. AI is taking the places of humans in different fields. In Nepal different renowned restaurants like KFC are appointing robots as the waiter. As robots are technically more powerful than human they can perform more efficiently than humans. It can significantly reduce errors and increase accuracy and precision. Today we can see a lot of AI generated pictures in different social media sites like Facebook, instagram etc. Creating pictures through AI is an interesting and easy work to do.
In the case of Nepal, AI is developing rapidly. It is being significantly used in agriculture sector. AI tools aid in crop management, pest control and resource optimization. Thus, with the help of it, farmers are being able to grow huge amount of crops with less effort. It empowers farmers with predictive insights, reshaping traditional methods and contributing to economic growth in Nepal. With the help of AI-powered telemedicine platforms, people are being able to enjoy the health facilities by consulting with the doctor using online means like video conference without the need to travel long distances. It is also creating a vast development in the field of education. Thus, in my perspective for the developing countries like Nepal AI is important.

  • Hello everyone!
In my class, we had a really interesting discussion about our dream jobs, and whether Artificial Intelligence would take over them or not. We wrote each job on a piece of paper, and everyone went around writing what they thought were the roles of those jobs on the papers . Then we had a debate about which ones AI would not take over.
My job was that of an athlete, and we discuss about that if AI runs a race it will over heat and get damaged but humans runs with the zeal of their passion of winning the race.
Some AI machines was input with a set of programs to run in a specified time and duration (with the help of human help) or it will get overheated and damaged. AI does not have emotions and conscience but humans have both.
So in my own opinion I feel that AI cannot completely replace humans because humans play a vital role.
I feel that a very good collaboration between these two forms of intelligence (human and artificial)will bring out wonderful results!

  • Hello Everyone!
Mankind has accomplished many technological advancements till now. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of them. Talking about AI, we all know what AI is. AI has served mankind in various ways. AI holds great importance in various aspects of modern society and technology. AI technologies can be used in education for skill development platforms and learning experiences. Though AI offers numerous benefits, it also holds negative effects. There is a risk of over-dependency on technology, potentially leading to reduction in human autonomy. AI can potentially disrupt entire industries leading to unemployment and economic disruption. AI can be both friendly and dangerous. In my opinion, AI can take over the world in the future due to rapid development on technologies.

  • My perspective changed significantly after the AI Education and Future of Work session as I learned more about the complex interactions between artificial intelligence (AI) and the future of work. At first, I was worried about the possible damage AI could do to employment prospects. But the lesson also revealed a more nuanced understanding: I came to see that although AI might automate some work, it also creates new opportunities and job roles. The conversation focused on how employment has changed over time, with AI generating jobs in data analysis, machine learning, and AI research, among other areas. For example, rather than replacing, AI is augmenting industries like healthcare and education by creating new roles and increasing efficiency. This fresh viewpoint disproved my assumptions by highlighting the coexistence of AI and human labour, encouraging creativity, and drastically improving the job market.
The lesson also made me think about how dynamic work is and how it promotes flexibility and lifelong learning. I came to see that integrating AI into the classroom will get us ready for a time when human-machine cooperation will be necessary. My perspective on the symbiotic link between AI and human potential has been broadened by the case studies that were provided, such as the one about AI boosting creativity in content creation. The lesson essentially changed my worries into an appreciation of the fascinating opportunities AI offers, pushing me to reconsider the future of work as a chance for innovation and development rather than as a danger.

  • I strongly disagree with opinion (1), because I think AI should not be used in our education. Using AI will make a student to be relaxed in their studies, even though they get the right marks in their homework, it will affect them in their exams leading them to fail.
AI can be used in workplaces because it is really hard for a person to be working on multiple stuff at the same time, so by the use of AI in an office I think it will actually help the pedestrian.

    1. I disagree with you on that. AI cannot make any student to be relaxed except if the person wants to. The use of AI has made learning easier and faster. Let's take for example, in the olden days when there was nothing like Internet, it takes 4 to 5 months for a mail to be delivered and this method of sending mail, made learning to be slow and boring but now, to deliver a mail doesn't take up to 5 seconds which helps to improve our learning and makes it faster. So therefore, I disagree
      with you on that.
      THANKS!

  • Hlo ,
In my class , we had really fun time discussing about the AI and how it can change the world . Then suddenly I thought of a question, can AI be able to understand the way human write and speaks ? Can it understand the natural way humans speak . Human language is filled with ambiguities that really make it incredibly hard to write software that correctly determines the intended definition of text or voices .
And we came into the conclusion that ai can’t understand human language because it contains so much of unstructured data.😃

  • During the lessons ,I did change my mind about a certain perspective .For instance , I initially, i thought that AI was a great idea but after having a rethink, i changed my mind because if AI was to take over, there will be too much replications and repetitions of ideas and concepts. in a world with about billions of great many ideas half of which is yet to be explored, AI will put all of these to waste because

    1. This is a really interesting point about AI repeating and replicating ideas. Which one of our Topical Talk skills do you think humans can do but AI cannot?

  • Greetings everyone,
In my group we discussed who can do the job of a engineer better humans or AI.
we came to a agreement that humans can do the job better because. What will take humans a year to do robots can do it in a month. Also what will take 50 humans to complete the task will take only 15 robots to complete.
To engineer something you have to be good in the following fields:
1: Drawing: To make a structure you first have to draw the plans. But you can program a robot to draw something and it will draw what you programmed it to easily.
2: Math: You have to be good at math to do the calculations of the building, car, truck or anything you want to invent or build. meanwhile if a robot does the calculations the robot will do it very fast.
3: Attention to detail: As a human you have to pay close attention to detail but as a robot the detail would be natural because it is in their programming to do the job perfectly or almost perfect.
That is why I think robots can do the job of engineers better.

    1. Was there a job that you discussed that you thought humans could do better than AI?

      1. Hi Steff, one type of work where humans are better than AI is psychotherapy or counseling. To replicate the deep emotional understanding, empathy and personal approach required in these positions is not an easy task for AI. Human therapists go through complex feelings, practice active listening, and offer interventions that are sensitive to the needs of individuals, making their role hard to fully automate.

  • Hello everyone!
We had a really interesting discussion about AI and the future. If AI would be able take away our dream jobs especially in the medical aspect. I always thought AI would be able to do so but my classmate changed my mind on the topic, she gave reasons why AI won't be able to take jobs on the medical aspect. She stated that it was humans who created Ai therefore they wouldn't be able to posses some certain traits like us humans, She also stated that AI lacks the empathy, compassion, and understanding that humans have, AI cannot sense the feelings, needs, and preferences of patients. Nor can it build trust and relationships with patients. The technology may also struggle in providing comfort, reassurance, and motivating patients. This made me to understand that AI intelligence isn't really the future we are

  • in the process of this discussion, I have noticed that I have become more creative in every aspect .The main steps I took in increasing my creativity level where: think, articulate my taught, put it to writing ,and proofread my work.
This discussion also helped me to think outside the box .To me creativity is important in engaging in news because, without creativity the would not have been formed. In every thing we do we use our creativity to it. when engaging in the news creativity plays crucial roles which may include :better communication skills, finding ways to capture your audience's attention, content creation ,and advertising.

    1. Can you give an example of something you did in your lesson where you showed creativity?

  • During the lesson, I had a preconceived notion about the extent to which jobs would be done by machines in the future. I believed that machines would gradually replace a significant portion of the workforce, leaving many individuals unemployed. However, as the lesson progressed and new perspectives were introduced, my viewpoint began to shift.

One of the key factors that altered my thinking was the realization that while machines and automation might indeed replace certain tasks, they also have the potential to create new job opportunities. The rapid advancement of technology often leads to the creation of entirely new industries and professions that were non-existent before. This revelation made me understand that instead of fearing technological advancements, it would be more prudent to adapt and acquire the skills necessary for the emerging job market.

Furthermore, I discovered that machines and humans possess different skill sets. While machines excel at tasks that require repetitive actions and data processing, they still lack the ability to effectively navigate complex social interactions, critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence. These uniquely human skills are vital in professions such as counseling, teaching, artistic endeavors, and higher-level decision-making roles. These insights helped me understand that the relationship between machines and humans would likely be more collaborative rather than purely one of substitution.

Additionally, considering the ethical and societal implications of complete automation, I began to question the desirability of a future where machines perform all tasks. The human element, including empathy, compassion, and personal connections, holds immense value, particularly in roles that involve caregiving, customer service

I'd love to hear your inventive mind on AI. thank you...

    1. This is an interesting area of discussion where role of human beings in the work force is evolving. Have you thought of new industries and professions emerging or would emerge in the near future where human involvement will be critical?

  • Hello, fellow topical talkers.
In my class, we got a piece of paper and wrote what we aspire to be in the future, and then everyone wrote at least a function of everyone's job and then we read them out and then few of us spoke either on if AI could do the job better or humans could do it better. I and few other people aspired to be Software Engineers and then I personally thought that AI couldn't take over that job because, AI's were created by humans and in the process some semantics(rules) are to be followed while adhering to the syntax(commands) of the language which I doubt an AI is capable of doing. It might have the knowledge but might not be able to practicalize it.
Later on, we got paired and then we debated on still the same motion of AI being better at the job or the human and then whoever wins the debate; AI or human, will draw either of both. I got paired up with my classmate and then we debated over the issue of driving, but I disagreed because of the advent of self-driving cars but she argued and said that it could be prone to accident but I countered and said that maybe it could have anti-obstruction feature but she countered and then we continued. And at last it ended as a draw, so we drew both a human and a robot.
Did you have any fun experiences during your debate? If yes, please feel free to share your experience.
    Thank you

  • In my class we had a lot of interesting discussion. We learned about how AI helps in our day to day life. What job might be invented in future because of AI. We also learned about

machine learning: It involves training machines to learn patterns and make prediction or decision based on data.

neural networks: neural networks are a key component of many machine learning models

natural language processing : it focuses on enabling computers to understand, interpret and generate human language.

  • Hello everyon,
We had a very wonderful debate in my class today. First of all, the class was divided into two groups after writing our dream jobs in a sheet of paper. My job was robotics engineering. After the discussion in the class, we all agreed that no robot can be created for the purpose of creating another robot. There are lots of equipment that are used in creating robots which a robot cannot gather together to create other robots. So therefore, it will still need human input to create robots.
It took a lot of time before we arrived at that conclusion because a lot of people had their mind to say and they were all listened to. After everything, my job was taken to be one of the jobs that cannot be taken over by AI.

  • Greetings!
Hello everyone, i would really like to share this one discussion we had in school regradinhg AI. One day our computer teacher was teaching us about AIs . I asked my teacher that if a AI could do your job for you and teach us or not just your job but evry job in the world. My teacher replied that AIs could probably do that and if they did do that then there wouldnt be any use of you students studing in schools as well, the AIs will do all the learning and tasks for you. it was a really good and fun conversation to have.

  • Technology can help to contribute to jobs as so many types of jobs use all types of computer and digital gadgets and thereby acknowledge of the use of this helps many people secure jobs.
As computers and digital gadgets become more common and more efficient and intelligent, they are taking over a lot of jobs humans do. This can contribute to human unemployment.
Education will continue to adapt and students will need to get exposed too, and be more familiar with different technology so they have more relevant skills so they will have relevant skills when they go in to the work world.

    1. I really like your point of view. You reminded me that everything has its own benefits and disadvantages. Everything has got its bright and dark side. Soon AI will be commonly used in the near future, and it will take away some jobs as well as provide some job related to the necessity in the near future. Yes, indeed the students, education systems, education institutions as well as society will be adjusted in the world of education with AI and different modern technologies.

  • During the lesson, the development of creativity was emphasized through various structured exercises. We engaged in brainstorming sessions where diverse ideas were encouraged, fostering a mindset of exploration and original thinking. Additionally, we practiced lateral thinking exercises that pushed us to consider unconventional solutions to problems, challenging the conventional thought process. Creativity is crucial for engaging with the news as it enables individuals to approach information critically and imaginatively. In a rapidly changing world, creative thinking allows for a deeper understanding of complex issues and the ability to connect seemingly unrelated concepts. This skill is particularly valuable when interpreting news stories, as it allows one to see beyond surface-level information and consider alternative perspectives.

  • Hello everyone.
Through this topical talk I made an inquiry about my future job. I learned something new through that. And how will this job be for my future. Another thing I saw while doing this topical talk class was that no profession in the world is small. All professions should be treated equally. Because some profession is important for all of us. Can't tell when it is needed. The biggest example is cleaning workers, because of cleaning workers we have mosques, mosque balconies, school roads, offices, hospitals, roads, locals area etc. which cannot be written. It is because of them that these places were so clean today - In sha Allah they will keep them in the future. This was my future plan and I got to know how big and important a profession or job is through this topical talk class and teacher's help.
    Thank you.

  • Hello y'all,
Previously in our Computer Science session, me and my friends were discussing about AI's impact on education in the near future. We were so amazed by AI's way of explaining topics- sometimes vastly but with perfection indeed till the date. We were just sharing our thoughts about how AI will take over job of teacher who shows us right way in academic sector and will teach us different concepts. Just a thought arised to my mind, a device with size less than a duster or just as large as humans or at any size will be able to teach humans about history, science, language or any other topic by one machine itself- as a multitasker. (invention of human will be more intelligent than human itself) . It will really help us in our academics and would hold a worldchanging role in the field of education. However, it will not be able to replace a felling of respect, love and importance given to a teacher of today's world. At the end of the day , they will be just a piece of metal with knowlege. After a lot of discussion and what ifs', we came came to the conclusion that it will be exciting to experience such days but it is better to be educated by people like us in todays world.

  • Emotions exists only on humans not on The AI. I can express my Thout about AI, It will play role as helping hand of human not takeover the human activities.
People's life will be my ore easy and comfortable by the assist of AI.

  • Artificial intelligence is a method or way of making a computer, controlled robot, or a software like Siri, safari, Alexa, chat GPT and bing and they do things like that of the humans. AI is good at studying the pattern of humans brain and by coding, programming and analyzing the convictive process. The outcome of AI that studies and develops intelligent software and systems.

  • Hello everyone!
The discussion took place amongst my friends and I. As a student who relates with class mates and set mates, some times we have free period (as senior students) we just come in groups and drop an argument and everyone chips in their opinions. One of my class mate discussed her opinion and it was very intriguing saying that AI knows a lot about us and is starting to interfere in our personal life like our gallery , chats , account , it has permission to everything and what if something goes wrong? There is a high possibility of AI going rogue and if so, we have leveraged it free access. However someone came up with a contradictory idea saying the advent AI is not here to over power humans but here to work in accordance with humans and make life simpler as a result should not be seen as something that is here to harm the humans. Iam in accordance with positive side as AI has not only made my life simpler in many aspect but more innovative as I learn things daily from my personal assistant AI.
    Thank you!

  • Hey everyone!

Seeing how AI can create job opportunities and improve our lives is fascinating. However, it's also important to note that it can potentially replace jobs such as waiters, medical assistants, construction workers, bank tellers, and more.

In our class, we discussed certain professions like teaching that require human workers because they demand emotional intelligence and patience to perform such tasks. It's these uniquely human qualities that make certain jobs irreplaceable by machines.

It's essential to acknowledge that AI will continue to transform the workforce, and according to research, 25% of current jobs will be replaced by AI in the future. As we move forward, finding ways to adapt to these changes is crucial.

Let's continue to explore the benefits of AI, while also being mindful of its impact on the workforce.

    1. You make a great point that AI may be able to do lots of jobs in the future. What new jobs might be created because of AI?

      1. Dear Tiff @ Topical Talk,

During our recent class, we explored the potential for job creation in the field of AI. We identified several new job titles that could emerge, including AI Instructors, AI Prompt Engineers, AI Art Directors, and AI Security Engineers. All of these roles will be linked to advancements in technology.

It is important to note that as AI continues to evolve, it will spawn new job opportunities. These opportunities will demand individuals with specialized knowledge and skills in the field of AI, and will require a deep understanding of the technology itself.

I hope this reply brings clarity to my previous comment .

      2. Hi @ Tiff i think as AI grows, it's likely to generate fresh employment. This includes jobs ranging from AI ethicists, auditors, and trainers to data managers, robotics experts, and software creators. Each role will be crucial in guiding ethical AI growth, introducing it into various fields, and enhancing its functionality.

  • If AI is this big of a thing we need to make sure that there are no errors in the programming because if they take over like a doctors job they could probably make the situation worse for the person

  • Hello,
I think AI can never take over the jobs that humans do. It is impossible. AI does not have feelings and emotions like humans. They also do not have characters. Something that makes a human special is his or her character so AI can never take over because they do not have all the characteristics that humans have. Yet AI is rather creating more jobs for people such as AI engineer, software engineer and data scientist.

  • I learnt that humans can be better at some jobs than AI. I was surprised to hear that. Without delving deeper into the topic most people will assume AI is the best at everything.

  • I had recently represented my school in an interschool debate regarding futures in AI, it was surely interesting to here viewpoints of all the children and I guess it helps me make a point here.
AI applications are being made to help humans and make their lives easier, the fact that people are all into different ideas opposing AI are sadly due to fantasy movies which even though I personally like can have an effect on people's thinking.
The World will not be taken over by AI robots and that is for sure.
Talking about schools, applications based on AI are just a mere tool for the teachers to plan a perfect curriculum based on the students' interest. They make their jobs easier not take them away.
I have always been saying this an I say it again AI is a mere assistant that will one day help humanity reach the skies

  • hello everyone,
This is my first opportunity to work at tropical talk. I feel very lucky to have done this work. In our daily life, people of various professions live around us. We all depend on them. No profession is small. Around us, various professions people are contributing to the development of the country and society through their profession. The most important profession of a country is the armed forces. Army plays an important role in the security of every country. They risked their lives to protect the country from enemies. They stay away from their families. They stay in different dangerous and inaccessible places of the country. Due to their constant sacrifices for the country, the people of the country are able to live a beautiful and normal life.

  • Hi everyone!
My class had a conversation about AI device's trying to concur the world . Some were debating about how AI device's can concur the world. Some were saying there is no chance AI device's can rule the world and us into their slaves. Someone in my class also a brilliant idea that there is a point in going to school helps with improving our communication's, and getting used to our Environment.
    That's all thank you.

  • Hi everyone!
In my class,we talked about how AI can help us in the future. If AI can be useful for doing jobs such as being an astronaut or a mathematician. We also talked about the things AI can help us with and the things AI can't do.In my opinion, the jobs that AI can do are exploring outer space. What they can't do,well..... they can't be a therapist because they don't have feelings (only if they're programmed too).If you have a debate, please reply!

  • Hi Fellow Learners!
In my Gifted Class, we talked about Artificial Intelligence. We answered some questions about AI. One of the question were if other jobs use AI but not schools. We picked no as an answer. We drew a cartoon about how AI could help us fellow people.
Secondly, we looked at a picture about someone using ai to do idk, And this is after me and my classmates went to lunch.

    My Opinion about Artificial Intelligence

I think Artificial Intelligence is really good for somethings. A lot of jobs need Artificial Intelligence.

    Goodbye guys!

  • According to my understanding, Artificial Intelligence has enhanced healthcare, finance, and transportation.
It has made progress with advancements in areas like language processing, computer vision and robotics.
One key factor is the exponential growth of computer power.
Additionally, AI systems have the ability to learn from their own experiences and continueslly improve their performance.
One major concern is the potential loss of jobs as AI systems become capable of performing tasks which are currently done by humans. Because of the robotics advancements, AI systems could replace human workers in various works or industries which is already leading to widespread of unemployment and economic disruption. I think organizations and governments should look into or address these challenges by providing or creating new job opportunities.
Furthermore, the AI implications should be looked into and carefully considered.
We should also ensure that the AI systems are designed or built with precautions to prevent unintended consequences, thanks.

  • In my class we played a game that was related to ai. Our teacher told us some questions and wherever we went it told her if we agree or disagree or if we did not decide.Ai could change history but do we want that. Ai is very useful in schools computers and mimio boards but robot are kinda disturbing. one time I saw a robot dog but it did not look like a dog at all.It just looked like a rolled up piece of metal on sticks robots are not my thing.

  • I am enjoying the best moment of my student life through this festival. I will never forget it. Thanks for giving us the opportunity

  • Hi every boy ,girl, and one
I remember not so long ago my class was talking about ai and we were given an assignment on ai and the way it impacts us about how the world is changing to a technological state and we had a class discussion the next day. the assignment basically said what is a job that would more likely get taken over by ai and would it be worth it to work. Of course they pitted us against each other to test our debate skills and teamwork skills. I was on the side of it It wouldn't be worth it. The first person to go up was a girl who said that " being that you would be one of the only workers left, your pay could be increased and better benefits." I then said " well yes since there are less people you could get those things but other businesses who do have little to none employees they don't normally offer benefits and at that they cut pay because the company or office sees you as expandable.". They already have tech and they can replace you like that. this being said ai is evolving and transforming meaning life could become harder for others.

  • Hello everyone!
In my class, we had an exciting conversation about our future profession, and how it will be if Artificial Intelligence were to take over. Everyone said their future professions and we discussed about the manner in which profession will be impacted if Artificial intelligence were to take over. I stated my profession was that I wanted to be an engineer, and everyone new and said that AI will easily take over. The profession that my classmate wanted to be was a lawyer which everyone agreed that, that profession can never be taken over by an AI.

  • Hi everybody!
My class had a discussion about how AI might change the future of work or education. First of all, AI is essential to us, humans, in many ways. For example, building a skyscraper. Just imagine how long it's going to take to build a skyscraper without the help of artificial intelligence.

Although AI is vital in our lives, it can cause a reduction in work in the upcoming years. A job like "Cahier" can be taken over by AI because of how they are programmed to work. Now even driverless cars have been developed, so managing payments and issuing receipts is no big deal for AI. But I think one job AI cannot take over is teaching. Teaching is a job that involves attending to people's needs, experiences, and feelings, and this cannot be done by a robot. AI is programmed to complete specific tasks. For instance, if a robot is teaching a class and a student asks a question the robot is not able to understand how it will answer that student. What will happen then?
The student will not get the information he or she was searching for.

So I think AI shouldn't be programmed to take over jobs, but to make them more manageable and also create more jobs.

  • I agree with all of the points stated as well as placing your ideas about the future of AI into an explanation as to why AI can be seen as dangerous in some people’s eyes whereas in others AI is an excitement. In jobs that include emotion and a calm attitude it would be difficult for AI or robots to show as I could only assume they’d be created from inanimate materials. However In other careers such as customer service AI would easily manage the task and would be more efficient.

  • We can say that Artificial intelligence is the computer/Machines with Intelligence that make our work easy.
In simple terms, it is the process of providing computers the ability to think and act like a human. This is done by giving the computers data as inputs and directions.

  • Hello friends, I am worried about AI in cyber security because recently researchers have shown that AI is able to recruit a human online to fake a system captcha test. When asked if he was a robot, the system lied, saying he was a visually impaired person. So many researchers are concerned about it. Moreover, if a hacker instructs the AI to 'make some money', the bank's security system may be compromised. Due to this, the economy of a country can be destroyed. Even if this system wants to shut down, it can try to sustain itself by replicating itself. Moreover, it calls into question the authenticity of the video.

  • Hi, Katie!

That AI lesson really had the class talking! We engaged in a fierce argument about what shape the future of work would take with regard to AI. This was because, there were opposing views on job types and their effect on different sectors.

And an interesting point was made by one student concerning the role that machines will play in future employment markets. I therefore rethought my view on which jobs might be more or less susceptible to automation.

Regarding inventiveness, we participated in brainstorming sessions where we thought beyond convention. We learnt how creative thinking is vital in keeping up with changing news horizon through exercises such as ideation and problem solving.

Looking forward to hear from other people’s experiences!

  • My dream job is be a astronauts. Artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly impacted astronauts' jobs in space exploration. AI plays a vital role in:

Autonomous Systems: AI helps in developing autonomous systems for spacecraft, enabling them to perform tasks without constant human intervention. This is crucial for long-duration missions where communication delays are significant.

Mission Planning and Decision-Making: AI algorithms assist in optimizing mission plans, considering various factors such as fuel efficiency, potential risks, and scientific objectives. This aids astronauts in making informed decisions during space missions.

Robotics and Automation: AI-driven robotics enhance efficiency in tasks like repairing equipment or conducting experiments in space. Robotic systems can be remotely controlled or operate autonomously, reducing the need for direct human involvement.
I think AI is impacting the astronaut job through these steps.

  • Hello everyone!
We had a debate competition on topical talk. The topic of the debate competition was humans versus robots. The topic I had to debate was artificial intelligence (AI). Where I used to debate the pros and cons of artificial intelligence. Then my question was made with this debate that, will our future go into darkness due to artificial intelligence? Or will a new stir be created? Again, it seems that many of our tasks are being solved easily because of this artificial intelligence ( AI ). I got a correct idea with so many questions because of the topical talk class. Because currently there are many who say that by doing bad things with artificial intelligence ( AI ) it is leading to a dark future, but no! Because of this, the future will not be dark but a new stir will be created. Why I said that stir will be created - because artificial intelligence ( AI ) can solve all tasks flawlessly easily in very fast time. Then we can talk about treatment. Today, artificial intelligence ( AI ) has opened a new chapter in medical science, from diagnosing diseases to serving patients. Like X-Ray, Telemedicine, Ambulance etc. Thirdly, it is needless to say in the economic field. The economy of the present world has changed based on some industrial revolution. We are now in the fourth industrial revolution. This market will change based on artificial intelligence ( AI ). Now we have mobile in our hand that is made for the benefit of artificial intelligence ( AI ). A lot thinks will come with artificial intelligence ( AI ) in the future. There are more IT items. I could not write them anymore. When we set the alarm on the mobile to wake up, that is for the benefit of artificial intelligence ( AI ). Through artificial intelligence ( AI ), our personal photos, videos, passwords, etc. are now being given high level security. There are many other positive aspects of artificial intelligence ( AI ). Now this is my comment.
Thank you so much, for patiently reading the entire article.

  • I am enjoying the best moment of my student life through this festival. I will never forget it. Thanks for giving us the opportunity

    1. What did you discuss in your classroom about AI? Share your discussions here!

      1. I agree because... I organized a discussion in our school about which jobs are obsolete due to artificial intelligence. Everyone was writing in their notebooks about what can be done through artifical intelligence. A debate competition was happening between us. Everyone had their say. Almost half of our jobs have disappeared due to artificial intelligence. Due to this, many people are losing their jobs. On the other hand, due to artificial intelligence, many of our dangerous jobs are done by them. Due to artificial intelligence, many of our difficult tasks are possible to do easily. Artificial intelligence will play a very important role in the future Thank you

        1. I agree because... There are logic in AI discussion.

  • hello everyone,
I organized a discussion in our school about which jobs are obsolete due to artificial intelligence. Everyone wrote their importance according to the profession mentioned in their comment book. Circled the points on the paper. We discussed with classmates the jobs lost to artificial intelligence. Divided into groups, we compete on the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence. And we give different opinions on the reasons for the loss of lost jobs and to save them.

  • hello everyone,
I was on the pros and cons of artificial intelligence in an artificial intelligence session with my classmates. Everything we use in our daily life is the source of scientific discoveries. Artificial intelligence is one of the sciences. Artificial intelligence is more efficient and hardworking than humans. Currently factories and other places are using artificial intelligence instead of humans. As a result, laborers are becoming unemployed. In the past, people used to work for tripping, now their profession is extinct for voice recording. People are getting lazy because they edit all the work depending on artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is the cause of unemployment as humans are more hardworking and efficient than humans, artificial intelligence works as a human imagination.

  • I think AI will have a Negative impact because with the information that humans give AI, it will be more powerful than humans and have more knowledge than humans. with that knowledge, nobody knows what AI could do.

  • In my lessons we were talking about AI taking over jobs.I thought that although AI is more efficent at most things it cannot think creatively and make unique ideas. So I am not worried that jobs like song writting being taking over.

  • I think AI will have a negative impact on human lives because humans are trusting Artificial Inteligence so much that if something goes wrong, no one wll know what to do. .

    1. I think ai will have a negative impact as it is bad

      1. Lots of students agree with your opinion that AI can have negative impacts. Can you suggest two reasons why AI will have a negative impact?

    2. I agree because it will cause to much of a negitive impact with people relying on AI and will create a downfall on civilisation.

    3. I disagree because i feel you are been too narrow with your thoughts, try to look at this at a more broad or wider angle. Through advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks, AI is becoming increasingly sophisticated, enhancing its capabilities and demonstrating its potential across various domains. Machine learning is the fundamental building block that has propelled AI to new heights. An AI application if it is built in compliance with data protection, makes unbiased and comprehensible decisions, and can be controlled by human so, if there is any error it is probably due to this programmer's flaw. Now don't get me wrong, i'm not saying you should give AI your hundred percent trust but to a reasonable extent they are reliable. Besides how else will you find out if you don't give it a shot, just start small and anticipate the best. I'll love to hear your experience with the AI.

    4. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the science of making machines programmed by humans. It does not sound precarious at all, but once you delve deeper in to this topic, you will come to consciousness of the risks of this futuristic machine.
AI might be a threat to humanity since an overreliance on it might result in laziness or lack of human function.
But, as well as this, AI could have a positive impacts on our planet. Because it is capable of working extremely similarly to a human, it can do human-like tasks based on the information from its surroundings, such as, becoming nurses, proofreaders, software engineers, and many more.

  • I think that AI will do most of the jobs that require calculations such as:
    *Banker
    *Plumber
    *Engineer
    *Doctors
    *Pharmacist
    *Scientist
    *Accountant
    *Genitor etc
Jobs that require emotions will still be done by humans:
    Psychiatrist
    Psychologist
    Nurse
    Teacher.
Jobs that require leaderships need humans:
    Politicians
    Presidents
    Head of Departments.

    1. AI has put 3rd level jobs at risk. So many people may become unemployed. So we have to think about it.

  • Hi everyone!
In our recent class discussion, we talked about the types of jobs that can be performed by robots. We discovered that most of these jobs require repetition and can be quite tiring for humans, but not for AI. For instance, building and construction work can be very exhausting and can lead to mistakes and accidents for humans.

However, someone on the Hub changed my perspective on this topic. As giving_snail pointed out, AI cannot perform jobs that require emotional intelligence and patience, such as teaching and healthcare, even though it can assist with these tasks.

We also had a debate in class about whether robots could teach. Although we concluded that robots cannot teach on their own, we agreed that AI in the classroom can offer personalized learning experiences, tailored to each student's individual needs and learning styles. In my opinion, AI can have both positive and negative impacts on the workforce. It can take over certain jobs that involve counting and repetition, but it can also create new job opportunities

I would love like to hear your opinion on my comment.

  • Hello everyone! During our class talk we discussed how it would feel if an AI teacher replaced a human teacher. It would be weird because the AI would not be able to connect with us and have a natural bond. AI does not have emotions to relate with school children but with a human teacher they would be able to express emotions and an interaction with school children. Also, humans would know our level in a certain subject and would be able to help us learn and understand more but an AI would think where all at the same level of knowledge and would not be able to help us catch up with the rest of the class. There are also advantages to AI being a teacher they would be able to grade exam papers quickly and efficiently as well explain why we got the question wrong or correct.

  • Hello everyone,

During our discussion on AI, I expressed my opinion that AI has the potential to bring more fairness and justice in the legal system. The reason being, AI is not open to to bribes or threats, which makes it more unbaised in judging cases.

When I asked others in the class, most agreed with me that AI is likely to be more honest and just in a courtroom despite the possibility of it being hacked. However, some experts argue that AI cannot replace human judgment and lawyers. Even though AI can be a useful tool in the legal system, it may not be sophisticated enough to handle the complications of human emotions and judgment.

In conclusion, while AI has the potential to improve the legal system, it cannot replace the role of human lawyers and judges. Nonetheless, it is possible that AI may play a more significant role in courtrooms in the future.

    1. I might not like A.I I do like your opinion. I watch a lot of crime shows and the lawyers risk giving people, as well as families, the justice and clarity they deserve for a quick thousand dollar check with a business day off. An A.I could definitely have more morals and give people the proper justice.

  • Hello!
Today, we had a fun activity where a pair of two people, one acting as a human and another as a robot, argued over which one was more superior!
We questioned the role of a fashion designer.
Well, AI turned out to be better at analyzing trends, generating designs and patterns with perfection.
Whereas, humans bring a unique and creative touch, add emotional value, personalize and customize it better. They add cultural context to fashion, which AI struggled to replicate.
We concluded that a collaborative approach that blends AI's analytical abilities with human creativity could lead to innovative and culturally resonant designs.

  • Hello everybody!
Today in class, we had a discussion about AI vs. humans, and we had to choose a job and debate whether an AI would be more efficient in completing it or a human. Me and my friend chose the profession of psychologist. At first, we thought that it'd be impossible for AI to take over this job, as a human psychologist would understand other people's emotions better, empathise with them, and provide them with better advice. But as we dove deeper into the topic, we found out that there are many potential ways that AI could take over this job too. For example, someone could share their feelings more comfortably with an AI, as they wouldn't have the fear of being judged. An AI is a more affordable way to gain access to therapy. It could provide more personalised content and could analyse the patterns of behaviour in people. It made me think that, to some extent, we might be underestimating the mighty powers that AI possesses.

  • Hello! In the class I had today, we talked about how AI would change the world of school and business. We did a cool little fun thing where we would choose a corner or a small space where it said we haven't decided yet, disagree, strongly disagree, agree, and strongly agree. We would be given a topic and we would have to choose the space that told our feelings about that topic. My classmates and teacher shared some interesting opinions about each topic and it was overall fun!

  • Things that changed my perspective about AI in this lesson were, back before computers, internet, and smart phones were a thing schools didn't use AI and now they do and kids like me like to use AI to learn somethings or help me with some things. But back then they just learned it by teachers. In this lesson we did an activity where we had to pick what we thought AI was and i heard my peers perspective and really thought about them and it opened a whole new mindset

  • Today in gifted class, My teacher gave me scenarios about AI and we had to choose if we agree, strongly agree, undecided, disagree, or strongly disagree. It made me think about the time when I was three and we went to this restaurant for my birthday and there was this tiny, little robot. He took our order, took our food after we were done eating, and cleaned the table. Then I asked the robot to be my friend and it replied YES! I was so happy. Then he gave me a picture that someone took of him.

  • Today in Gifted, we talked about Artificial Intelligence. Our teacher gave us different scenarios and asked questions about how AI is in school or work. Last year, I went to this arcade and I noticed something that caught my attention. It was a robot that was taking orders and giving food. It was interesting to me because it was my first time seeing a robot in person. It was an amazing experience.

  • Yes, we did talk about A.I in my homeroom class! We even had a fun project! My initial idea was that A I was nice and helpful but looking back, I realize that I was wrong. A.I is incredibly dangerous because it is programmed by humans. "Wait.... A.I was made by humans!" Yes! That's why it's dangerous!

When a human is given full control of someone's mind or something in general, they could do crazy things. These crazy things include creating an A.I bot that could potentially steal your personal information. Not to mention, A.I is stealing people's jobs! According to a Builtin.com article about A.I stealing jobs it states," Many administrative tasks completed by paralegals are within the range of AI’s capabilities. With its ability to process massive amounts of complex data, AI can write legal reports, gather facts for a case, sort through documents, and conduct legal research. This promises greater efficiency for legal firms, perhaps one day rendering the paralegal role obsolete." Wait, you mean a robot is going to represent me in court? Yeah, I'm just going to turn myself in.

True, a human can do this all in record time, but being a lawyer means your "opponent" will use many tactics to make you break and go crazy in front of the judge and jury. Plus I, for one, don't want my robot lawyer heating up and start blowing its circuits. I'd be the laughingstock of the century! I also love watching crime shows and the courtroom gets heated from time to time. I'd need a lawyer with morals that'll calm themselves down with any problems. I don't think an A.I system can do that without popping a screw.

In conclusion, this is why A. I need to be tamed. Ended? No. Tamed? Uhm, YES! Only trusted people should be able to make AI, not just anyone who print fake licenses for "funsies".

  • After today I have realised quite a large amount about AI. We use it everyday in almost everything we do. For example, in my lessons I was learning information from the interactive whiteboards as well as when I was exercising in my garage I realised that the machinery was all AI. Quite incredible I think

  • Hello everyone!
In my , class we had a very interesting discussion about whether AI will improve the quality of education I went into the not sure category since I think could probably help but if we can't rely on it too much. AI isn't as reliable as teachers like what would happen if someone hacked it or something like that. However Ai could help since they are already working right now on this computer.

  • Today, my class discussed ways on how Artificial Intelligence will benefit us in the future. One argument that was asked that really had me thinking is, "In the future, jobs will use more AI - but schools shouldn't change what they're teaching now." I strongly agree with this. Just because there may be more AI in future jobs, doesn't mean schools should change what they're teaching now. It may make it harder for scholars to learn because AI won't check if you're ok or help you out when you're hurt. Yes, AI may teach more knowledge that scholars may need, but if someone were to be feeling down or hurt what is AI supposed to do? Therefore, I strongly agree that schools should not change what they're teaching now.

  • Hello Katie,
I think undoubtably think AI will and already has a bad impact in society.AI is part of the society and it has impacts on people and the planet.
Their training data uses arts and books created by authors or artists without their consent. And its deployment can discriminate against a whole community. The cloud that AI live on is actually made of metal, plastic and powered by energy. Each time you use an AI model such as ChatGPT it comes with a negative cost to the planet; it can cause climate change.
Additionally, AI creates unemployment, as machines become more and more efficient, they replace human workers in a variety of industries.
    Thank you.
    Additionally

  • Ahoy mate, here from Anderson we had a meaningful talk about AI. I do think that we should embrace AI for how it is because it won't go anywhere. So i do think we should embrace AI and thank you for taking the time to read this.

  • In gifted today we were given questions to answer about AI to either agree, disagree, strongly agree, strongly disagree,or undecided. Then we were given the choice to pick one of the questions and write an answer about whether we agree, disagree, strongly agree, strongly disagree,or undecided. I have chosen the question " will new technologies make it harder for young people such as kids to decide what they want to do in the future? "
I strongly agree that AI will make it so much harder for young people to decide their career or future. Why? It will not make a impact to the students learning or creativity. For example when kids are in art and they say they are encouraged by an amazing art piece what is a robot going to do. Whats the best they can do. How will the robot support the students choice? If a student wants to be a magician how will a robot help with that will that robot have feelings when it,s time for the student to try out what will the robot do. It will not cry for the student it will not ask are you okay. A robot can not support a students choice of what they want to be when that particular student grows up.

  • Ahoy Mates!
Today in my gifted class we had a meaningful discussion about AI and their current enhancements. We talked about what AI can do for us and our education. We discussed what we might learn from AI and how AI will affect our future selves. Most agreed That AI would better our education And work. So all in all my class and I have chosen that AI is Helpful to our education

  • Hi me again so many people might say that AI is really not good but I disagree with them we are suppose to embrace Ai. And I will embrace it as much as I can. So we had this meaningful talk about AI so thanks for reading this.

  • Ahoy mates!! Today in class I learned about the future enhancemgree ents of A.I. We had discussions about A.I.
One of the questions were A.I. Will improve the equality of education. Do you agree, Strongly agree, Undecided, Disagree and Strongly disagree. This helped us talk about each other's perspectives of A.I. and our opinion.
What do you think about our discussion today? Personally I think this helped us.

  • Hello,
In my class we had an interesting debate about whether we would like AI to teach us. The majority of the class had agreed that we did not want AI to teach us, as it couldn’t give us the support and reassurance that a teacher could. Some people also said that they would like more AI supporting the teacher as long as it did not take over teaching.
We discussed some jobs that AI just wouldn’t help with, such as a therapist because a robot cannot posses the same sympathy and emotions that a human can.
Are there and jobs that you think AI wouldn’t be suited for?

    1. I think there are many jobs that AI can't do. AI lacks tolerance, mental qualities. There are many jobs that AI cannot do. Eg -
      1 Technical Program Manager
      2 System Analyst
      3 Software Development Manager
4 UX Designer 5 Cloud Architect
      5 Cyber Security Expert
      6 Data scientist
AI can only help humans in these professions and cannot replace humans.

  • Hello!
In my class today, we talked about how students would be affected by the introduction of Artificial Intelligence in their school. I think that some students would have a harder time keeping up with all of the new topics being introduced. I also have another question similar to this one. How would schools across the world be affected by Artificial Intelligence taking over the main part of their learning environment. Would the new AI help students, or cause more problems.

    1. This sounds really interesting, cooperative_pear! Could you share what activities you did during these discussions and what you thought about them?

  • I really think school is preparing me for life. I've really been successful through out my years of school. And my school helps me with math, reading, science, and social studies. I really like to learn new things and i'm a person who takes lots of notes. I do struggle sometimes but I like to keep my grades to the top. Im encouraged to be lot's of things when I grow up. And school is just the right thing I need to get prepared.

    1. Do you think schools could do anything differently to help you when you "struggle", good_cello?

  • I agree because AI might change the future of both work or education, how ? AI is programmed by humans to perform specific functions. But AI is trying to over power humans in so many ways but there are certain things that AI can't do, AI is emotionless, feelingless they can not understand human feelings. And AI also helps us with lot of school stuffs like home works and researches. but in some ways.

  • Recently we had an interesting discussion in our class where we role played an AI machine and a human in pairs. The discussion was related to the future of jobs in different sectors where both the AI and human discussed and debated over certain topics relating to the future, for example, their capabilities, expertise and many more.
This discussion got me wondering if their could be a time when humans and their lifestyle was improved with the help of AI. Instead of it taking over their jobs, helping them achieve something bigger, a utopia.
There were 2 main discussions I liked the most, they were regarding healthcare and education.
Talking about healthcare, there have been significant developments in the field thanks to AI, for example 3-D heart printing surgery assistance, which are a relief to not just patients but also doctors. We have to ask, have the AI machineries taken over the doctors? No. The same would probably be followed in the future as well, machines helping humans; because when it comes to healthcare and saving someones life, there can be no compromise. With AI systems that can be hacked or malfunction, single handed AI enabled machinery as doctors is a risk that humans cannot afford to take.

  • Hello!!! Today at school we talked about our dream job. Each student would stand up and explain their ideal career path and after that the rest of the class (including the teacher) would give feedback and some advice. Personally, I love learning foreign languages, so when it was my turn to talk I said that I wanted to become an interpreter or a diplomat. However, the job of an interpreter sparked an interest among the class. Sooner or later, one of my classmates said that since we have AI to translate, this job will soon be gone! After school I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that he might be right! After all, AI is rapidly evolving in contemporary society and foreign languages might be one of the first aspects that artificial intelligence takes over!
What is your opinion on this topic? Do you think that AI powered machines are able to replace human translators in the near future?

    1. This sounds like a very interesting discussion! Has this changed your ideas about what you'd like to learn in future? And do you think AI is a good enough reason for someone to give up on their dream job? Good luck with your future aspirations, poetic_laboratory!

      1. Hello!!! Thank you for your positive feedback!!! My opinion on this topic is, that the rapid evolvement of AI should not be a reason to give up your aspirations in life! No matter what the future holds, a dream is a dream. Personally, instead of thinking about the worst that could happen with technology, i imagine a world where people from different business fields would come together and work for a specific cause. What if an interpreter could cooperate with a programmer and programm a robot for foreign languages? Or what if human translators could enhance their knowledge of languages through this modern technology? As a result, although the job of an interpreter would change its nature, a new era of foreign language learning techniques would rise!

    2. Hello poetic_laboratory!!
I see your point about the possibility of AI replacing interpretors and I totally agree with you. However, I believe that if AI replaces human translators a really vital part of the human element will be lost, which is learing a language. I think that when learning a new language you also learn a lot about the country and its culture. In addition, I am happy to hear that you like foreign languages, as this interest of exploring other "worlds" might be lost in the future due to AI. So, I hope that the next generations will show the same willigness to learn a new language such as all of us and not depend solelly on AI.

  • We had a debate about the advantages and the disadvantages of AI and unsurprisingly the group representing advantages of AI won.
And even in my perspective the pros of AI far outweighs the cons, AI are not only efficient but are also very accurate, some might sight examples of AIs making mistakes but we have to remember that AIs are machines therefore they do not make mistakes, humans on the other hand do and any AI mistake will probably be from the human inputting the command.
But there is always the bad side to a good thing for example, lack of creativity is a major problem because AIs are unable to think outside the box thus severely undermining their untapped potential.
    Thank, you

    1. Do you think this will always be the case?

  • Hello everyone!
In my class, we had a discussion about jobs and debated whether AI would take over the jobs or not. During the activity, we wrote the jobs in the center of the paper and rotated to different papers and listed the roles of each job. We then got into groups and debated which jobs AI would take over. During the debating activity, we debated about whether AI would take over the job of a veterinarian. I found myself with reasonings such as, humans are more likely to make a better connection with the animals, making the job easier. Humans and animals are more likely to make a connection because the animals find comfort in being with humans, but compared to being with a machine, it most likely will not get along as well as it would with humans. Another reason that AI would not take over the job of veterinarians is because humans will most likely be able to communicate with animals more efficiently than AI. Animals are able to communicate with humans by their tone, body language, and gestures, meanwhile AI most likely isn't able to do the same as humans, making the job harder for AI to do and take over.

  • We know AI is artificial intelligence. AI is able to do much more than humans. We give rest to the tired body after work. But AI does not get tired after work. In future if there is use of AI around then people will become dependent on AI. Then people will do mental work more than physical work. Then people will become dependent on AI and will suffer from various diseases. Then will AI bring benefits or harm to our society or country?

  • I agree because, We also had the same discussion. I actually wanted to become an software engineer but I was able to same realize that software engineer would no longer be useful in the next five years. Moreover, AI has made tremendous progress at present. But what will my job be when AI makes all the Software? When the software is needed people will say to AI, then the software engineer is not needed? I can not imagine what will happen in the future?

  • Hello Everyone !
Okay let's begin with this have any of you seen the movie terminator. It's brilliant right! but we all remember how that ended with machines taking over the entire world. Let's hope that doesn't happen, that's going to be potentially problematic ......!!
But on the other hand we also learned that we shouldn't have programmed it in a way as to promote a hostile takeover. AI is revolutionary that is something we all can agree upon and yes we should discover the all of it's aspects but we should also define it's limits so that it doesn't take over the jobs that can easily be done by ordinary people for example: Content creation, accountancy or even as basic as a housemaid. These jobs are easily handled by humans but if we rely completely on AI programmed chatbots or machines we are in turn creating unemployment.
To answer your question yes there are jobs that AI can replace jobs that are dangerous for humans to do for example not long ago an incident where the Uttarkashi tunnel in the district of Uttarakhand collapsed with during it's construction with 41 men still trapped inside. Had the calculations and plotting of a proper route had been done by the contruction team using AI powered tools that use specific algorithms and collects geographical data to plot a proper way through the workers would have known that the tunnel they were constructing was prone to landslides and some of those workers wouldnt have lost their lives. They would have found an alternative way to contruct a road or build the tunnel without so many casualties.
Another example we can take of cleaning sewage it is a work that is still done by humans in majority areas of the country. Countless people lose their lives because of sudden blockages of debris in the pipelines which causes results in suffocation followed by death of the people who clean it. Why not invest this money in the machine that can detect the blockage using thermal sensors and Computer Vision and cleans it automatically and uses this data to further detetct problems and fix them.
In conclusion AI is very important and it we should scale new heights with it and discover it's capabilities but in the process we should also make use of it in the tasks that are specifically dangerous for humans to accomplish but can easily be done with the help of AI. We should know how to work smart and use AI as a technological advancement for the future rather than looking as it as a mere replacemnet of human activities.

  • Hello everyone, in our class we had a discussion on AI. We have discussed here how AI can pose risks to humans and how AI can be used properly by using it for various purposes. We enjoyed it a lot we got to know about the various uses and functions of AI here. We really enjoyed the 'Topical Talk Festival'.

  • Hello everyone, in our class we had a discussion on AI. • Very nice for the kids

  • Hello everyone,
Today in class my teacher was asking for our opinion about AI .She gave us a piece of paper and wrote some jobs and we had to write what we think about the jobs. She also asked if AI would do that job very well. For example: Teachers : A disadvantage is that AI will not understand the way the teachers will understand them and an advantage is that it will have better knowledge than that teacher. After that, we have to listen to her statement and line up if we agree or disagree

  • Hello everyone!
Today in class, we were discussing jobs that AI would be able to take over. We wrote down some examples of jobs we would like to do when we grow up and shared them across the classroom. Then we all got up and walked around the room giving feedback and writing more ideas on the paper. After this, we talked about whether humans or robots are better at certain jobs. I think humans are better! I have a question that I hope someone can answer. Do you think AI is better at doing different jobs or humans? If you think AI is better, explain why.

  • Hello everyone !!
Today my class and I had a extremely interesting conversation about whether artificial intelligence will take over humans or stay the same. We had an our debates for an hour however we still couldn't decide . I think it should be turned into AI

  • Actually, at the beginning of this all, I never liked the idea of AI but in the past few days, my mind has been changed. I always thought that robots would be the downfall of humanity but then am now realizing that the AI was made to aid us. I appreciate the organizers of this event because they have made us understand how important AI can be to aid us in our daily lives.

  • Today was fun i enjoyed talking about AI vs humans

  • I am agree with point (a) because,An AI can truly change our education system and future. As it can teaches us how the world works. It can change our prescriptive on the good and bad side of our world. It can helps us do our work more efficiently and fast.Al has the potiential to revolutionize how we work and learn, so it is important to discuss the potiential impacts and benefits.

  • Hey there!
We have learned so many things in the classroom. We discuss a debate on the topic " AI will be a positive force in reshaping the future of work and education". We share many things with our friends in this topic. And the Affirmative Teams Argument are:

    1. Enhancement in productivity: AI can automate mundane tasks, enabling, workers to focus on more creative and stragetic aspects of their jobs.

    2. Customized learning: In education, AI can provide personalized learning experiences, adapting to each students learning pace and style, which could revolutionize education effectiveness.

    3. New job opportunities: AI will create new job sectors and roles, particularly in technology, data analysis, and AI ethics, offering new career paths.

  • Hello everyone!
In my class everyone was discussing what we want to be when we are older and we went around and wrote what would be good for the job . Also we had a debate about which is better AI/ Artificial Intelligence or Human and some people said AI was better and some said Human is better and my opinion is Human is better

  • Hello topic talk,
In my class we had a very interesting discussion about jobs around the world, and whether AI/Artificial Intelligence
would take over those jobs or not. We were having debates on if Robots will take over that job or not, some people were being the Robots and the others were the Humans and we were checking which one of us would do better at that job.The job I was discussing with my partner was a photographer we said that the Robot would do better because if people wanted a picture from far the robot would have the intelligence to use the feature on the picture.
Did anyone else have a debate?

  • hello!
in my class we wrote on a piece of paper a bunch of jobs and then we would have a debate about which would be better at the jobs AI or humans and one of them was if AI was better than humans at football and somehow AI won the debate because they said AI would have a better strategies then the humans and kick the football harder.Thank you for listening.

  • When thinking of the discussion on ai, the first thing to come to mind is probably about its advantages and disadvantages, but in yesterday's class we truly understood the true impact of ai in our daily life. In the future, will ai made by others also cause harm to people? Was the simple question that started the debate. With the development of ai, one thing is often missed, cybercrime. The number of cybercrimes is skyrocketing at a fast pace. And since people can develop their own ai, this prospect becomes frightening with the fact that after the development of ai like google bard, ChatGPT etc. The cybercrime rate has increased by an astounding 86.54 percent which made us question the future even more. As ai don't have emotions, the people who can code them can get virus scripts, moles, trojan horses etc, ready with ease not even regarding the fact that ai can compile or decompile scripts. The future may not just be sunshine, and rainbows as thought previously. This one friendly debate truly opened by eyes at the prospects of the terrific potential of ai, still extremely complex to understand. Which sparked the debate in my mind,''' If ai would to be misused, could we really stop them?''''

    1. It's a valuable point you raised around misuse of AI. There're lots of discussion and legislation going on to keep it on the right track. What kind of control or requirements do you think are needed to prevent the misuse of AI?

      1. While talking about ai, we must know that preventing ai misuse involves considering ethical, legal, and technical and other aspects which might never get fulfilled. Although the damage can be reduced significantly by establishing strong security measures in order to protect ai from being hacked, educating people about using ai responsibly, not providing ai access to the internet for extended periods of time etc, can really help in the reduction of misuse. But as this sounds good an all, people can have ulterior motives, especially the maltreated and uneducated and hate filled people. I have scoured countless sites but have not found a way to stop the misuse of ai permanently. In order to even have a slight chance of reducing misuse of ai, all the countries must join together, which will almost never likely be the case. I have many-many discoveries, one of the shocking ones being that North Korean and Chinese have hacked into the banks of other countries, the hacker who leaked US secrets has now got a citizenship in Russia and many more. Although the news has always been known, the true impact would only dawn when relating with ai topics. North Korea, Belarus, China and even Russia will definitely keep up the information blockade on their people to maintain control. And continue plot revenge against their enemies like the EU or NATO which has the potential of delaying the problem for so long that the ai problem may even rise as a new global threat rivaling climate change. But there is still hope If all countries managed to collaborate on just solving this problem alone, then the guidelines for privacy, security standards, and legal consequences for the misuse of ai technology may actually prove to be fruitful. ''As with unity anything can be achieved''. From there the governments can make implementations like promote transparency in ai systems, raise awareness about responsible use of ai among developers, users, and the general public. They could establish mechanisms for oversight and accountability in the development of ai, and finally, regularly monitor and evaluate the impact of ai on society, which will definitely reduce cyberterrorism, hacking, phishing and many other unlawful acts and will definitely have a great impact on the future of ai and technology. If this course of action succeeds, then misuse of ai can be at the very least reduced or even be permanently solved.

        1. I'm not entirely sure about this - can you tell us where you got your evidence?

          1. Yes, indeed the North Koreans, presumptively aided by China almost hacked a Bangladeshi bank'' The Lazarus heist: How North Korea almost pulled off a billion-dollar hack'' is the news story where I got my information from. China has been involved in 108 cyber incidents with losses of more than $1 million each, these incidents include compromising communications across Europe, conducting cyber-espionage spying on 12 countries, and stealing information from hundreds of millions of customers of a U.S. hotel. I got this information from google and the video named 'A brief history of cyber security and hacking by the youtuber 'Cyber news'. The second one that you may want info and evidence about is that Edward Snowden, after leaking the classified information, fled the United States and sought citizenship in several countries. And was granted it in Russia, where he has been living since 2013.This information I got from the youtuber Real life lore and also the news story ''Edward Snowden: Leaks that exposed US spy program.'' The third one you may want evidence or info about is that North Korean government exercises strict control over all forms of media. All medias are state-owned and operated, serving as tools for government propaganda, access to the global internet is heavily restricted and there is no independent journalism in North Korea. All news is carefully made by the government. After all the North Koreans consider Kim Joun Un as their so called ''GOD''. For Russia, over the years, there has been a power struggle of media ownership in it. Many major media outlets are now either directly or indirectly controlled by the government. Russia has been known to block access to websites that are critical of the government and reveals defeats in the Ukrainian war. The Russians probably think that it is winning the war with ''ease'' but it isn't the case. China isn't also so different as it blocks access to a wide range of foreign websites, including social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. The Chinese government employs advanced surveillance technologies, such as facial recognition, to monitor citizens. Which is just messed up, but it doesn't end there because it also owns fake brands copying the western brands. Examples: games like Minecraft, fast food restaurants like McDonald's, tech companies like Apple and many more. I got this information and evidence of the information blockade from the'' New York times '', '' CNN' 'and ''The Diplomat websites respectively. North Korea, Belarus, China and even Russia will definitely keep up the information blockade on their people to maintain control and continue plot revenge against their enemies like the EU or NATO due to their long history of conflicts with the Europeans and American's especially in WW1 and WW2.This it pretty much the hard truth we have to bear that ai cybercrime can almost never be stopped.

  • AI help alot in the field of education in developing the ways of teaching and maybe in the future it will be part of our Lebanese curriculum, but that need training for the teachers and also affording all the materials that schools need, but that didn't mean that AI will replace the teacher it will help him in various things but he will never been replaced

  • There are a lots jobs I feel have easily been overtaken by AI. A few examples are: customer service, factory work and accountants. After the thought of this, I found that there are way more jobs that only a human would be successful in. For Example: veterinarians, therapy and all jobs including empathy or emotion. I was wondering if there were any others you know of.

  • I think in our school that we use AI very cleverly. For example, if a teacher is absent for a lesson, then we would go into one of the ICT suites and continue learning. We also use AI to pay for our food. In our canteen, we have fingerprint pads that contain money that our carers provide for us. In school the AI is efficient and useful. What do you have in your school ?

  • Hello everyone,
During classroom discussion, we have find out different future jobs and also organized debate among students. Like my dream Job is marketing and my thought as a human is human marketers possess the ability to connect with consumers on an emotional level, understanding the underlying motivations and cultural nuances that drive purchasing decisions. They can adapt to unexpected changes, respond to real-time events, and inject creativity into marketing campaigns. The human touch is essential for building genuine and lasting relationships with customers. And my friend as a robot shared that AI technologies offer scalability, consistency, and the ability to process vast amounts of
consumer data. They can automate routine tasks, segment audiences with precision, and provide
real-time insights that inform marketing strategies. While humans may have limitations in
processing massive datasets rapidly, AI ensures accuracy and efficiency in tasks ranging from
targeted advertising to personalized content recommendations.
So at the end, my opinion is that AI technology would be more effective with both human and robot coordination.

  • Hello everyone!
We conducted our classroom discussion on AI. We decided to engage in a fun roleplay activity where a robot and a human are talking to each other. A lot of students enacted in the roleplay and some of us discussed it within ourselves. A roleplay done by my friends was that of a lawyer and a robot. The lawyer argued that robots have certain biases passed onto them by their creator so robots cannot actually replace people as lawyers. I think this was a very good point put up as this is true that robots will be biased. Although the robots may seem to be useful in analysing little details of the case or connecting the dots, they will not be able to pass judgements in a fair way. I along with my friend discussed about how robots cannot replace people as designers in the future. I believe that even if Robots could copy designs they will not be able to create New designs since they lack creativity . Only a human mind could customise dresses, create new patterns and bring out new fashion. This discussion made me rethink IF robots could actually take over the people's job or not.

  • I think AI can change the future of work and education in both positive and negative ways. Based on my discussion in class on how AI can affect the world of work and education my opinion was AI can help us automate tedious tasks, enhance our productivity, and create new opportunities for learning and innovation. On the other hand, I believe AI can also pose challenges such as displacing workers, increasing inequality, and raising ethical and social issues.
I used to think that AI was only good for doing logical and analytical tasks, such as playing chess or solving math problems. But after learning more about AI, I realized that it can also do creative and artistic tasks, such as writing poems or drawing pictures. This made me think differently about what jobs will be done by machines in the future. I think humans will still have an edge over machines in some areas, such as empathy, intuition, and imagination which is why it cannot replace social jobs e.g. therapy due to lack of emotional intelligence.

  • Hello everyone,
I learned from classroom sessions that AI is the intelligence of machines or software, as opposed to the intelligence of humans. It is field of study in computer science that develops and studies intelligent machines. And that machines called AI.

    1. I agree with your comment explaining AI, can you precede further and explain how AI benefits and supports us as a population?

      1. AI would be more beneficial in future in every field of life. Like in the field of business ,it can help the human to collect the data of most up growing businesses and how human can improve his own businness with the help of AI and can create advance form to run his business with effective elements etc.

      2. Thanks Emily for agree with me. In my opinion, AI can benefit us by making things easier and faster. Like it can help us in healthcare by improving diagnostics and find better treatments. In education, it can provide personalized learning experiences. Even in everyday life, AI can provide us smart devices which will make our routines more convenient.

  • The topic of treating AI was really exciting, everyone thought that AI would have a good effect on the world, but then a student started talking about how AI will take over the world. Then it started to replay in my head, this is possible because, if they are being programmed to think like humans, they can decide to just take over and control the world, I learnt that there are military robots designed to fight wars and if they are capable of making their own decisions, there is nothing stopping them from becoming the enemy. I like AI because it's very interesting and fun, but sometimes to it can be very dangerous and unpredictable. I am very grateful for having this discussion it has really helped develop my creativity skills I now know how to code some complex applications because, of this discussion.

  • Hello I agree with artificial intelligence that artificial intelligence makes human life easier.Current world depends on internet or artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence can help in many situations. Some tasks can be done better than humans. Already a debate was organized in school with the help of teachers. The topic of the debate was human intelligence vs artificial intelligence. Me and my team were in favor of human intelligence. There we had different views. Got the theory. Artificial intelligence can do many things but there are many things that artificial intelligence can't do. Like showing affection, affection, love or any feeling only humans can do. No matter how advanced artificial intelligence is, there is human intelligence behind it. John Debon, who invented the first robot in the world, is called the father of robotics. But at the beginning of the twentieth century, it was possible to make powerful machines with small compact motors. The first robot was invented by Karel Kapek in 1921.

    1. Hello modest_dusk, I totally agree with your point of view. It is true that AI is making human life easier and all of them are depending on AI more day by day. The debate about human intelligence and artificial intelligence that your school held is very smart. Like you said, AI can do many things but not all things can be done by AI such as showing emotions.
AI is not superior than human intelligence. To make AI, we needed human intelligence. And at last, I want to say that human intelligence is ahead than artificial intelligence.

  • I think AI is quite an amazing thing in the modern world today. I think AI won't take over many jobs in our society but a couple are vulnerable. Many people in my class think AI will take up lots of jobs such as a lawyer and a business owner but I reckon that won't happen in our generation since AI is in a very early stage and can't make those decisions well. But if AI won some jobs over humans it would create new jobs for us such as developing and designing AI. In conclusion, I think AI will do only simple jobs like a cashier but even then if a customer has a complaint AI can't really ( at least now it can't) sort it out.

  • One of the debates I had with my classmates was about how AI will affect the future of education, and if machines could be teachers. At first, I thought that AI would definitely be used in schools in the future, since artificial intelligence is already used so much. But then, one of my fellow Topical Talkers in the room changed my mind. They claimed that being a teacher would require emotional intelligence, not just the academic type. They also added that just because the robot would have everything off the top of their head, doesn't mean that it would be ready to answer every question with the emotional recognition, creativity, empathy, and the 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 of well, a human LOL.

  • In my school, lively debates about AI with my classmates often revolve around the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work and education. One memorable discussion delved into the potential implications of AI in automating tasks, leading to a heated exchange of opinions regarding job displacement and the need for upskilling. During the discourse, I found myself initially sceptical about the extent of AI's influence, fearing widespread unemployment, because I offer economics. However, as my classmates presented diverse perspectives and highlighted the potential for AI to enhance creativity and problem-solving skills, I began to reconsider my stance. This shift in perspective underscored the dynamic nature of technological advancements and the importance of embracing change for continued personal and professional growth. In the classroom, the journey towards developing creativity unfolded through structured steps that encouraged exploration and innovation. Engaging in activities that sparked imagination and encouraged thinking outside the box, I discovered the power of divergent thinking and problem-solving. This creative development proved crucial not only for academic pursuits but also for understanding and interpreting the news.

  • Well about the topic AI me and my classmates had a debate among ourselves whether AI is dangerous for us human if it reaches its peak of development or not. There raised various ideas which was interesting. First of all we don't know when the AI will get fully developed and can be used at maximum. But the interesting part is even Elon Musk a well-known business man and CEO of Tesla Motors believes that AI is far more dangerous than we can ever imagine. As AI can surpass human intelligence, which can lead to the extinction of human if it will be developed fully. But who knows what will happen.. so it's just a assumption that AI is dangerous. So, the debate of AI is still mysterious and unable to reach to the true conclusion.

  • Hello!
I am very happy to have the chance to work on Topical Talk. By working on the topical talk, I got to know better about Artificial Intelligence. We have already completed the lesson on Artificial Intelligence in our school. We organize a debate to know better about Artificial Intelligence. We have a great discussion about Artificial Intelligence in our class. Through this discussion we learn about the pros and cons of Artificial Intelligence. Currently, many people have lost their jobs due to artificial intelligence. Experts believe that in the future, 30 crore people will lose their jobs due to this artificial intelligence. Many people are getting depressed after losing their jobs. Since Artificial Intelligence is a technology dependent machine, everyone will become dependent on technology and become lazy. Due to artificial intelligence, there will be a shortage of human skills. But it is also true that even though many jobs will disappear in the future, many new jobs will be created due to artificial intelligence. Currently, artificial intelligence is playing an important role in various job fields. For example: medical, military, etc. That's my comment Thank You

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) is a remarkable invention in the present world. Due to it's creation, many tasks of people have become easy nowadays. Often many tasks on longer require humans , rather everything can now be done by AI . But although it makes our life very easy, It can bring many problems in people's life in future.

    1. Can you give some evidence or examples to support your opinion?

  • Today we conducted a very interesting activity in our school where we worked in pairs to debate on any job which can be taken up and performed by AI. I took the job of a soldier, I favored AI stating that if instead of humans we can deploy AI controlled robots to petrol and fight on the frontlines then we can not only save many lives but also increase the efficiency and accuracy of our attack. Recently even in the Israel and Palestine issue a technology known as IRON DOME was used which helped Israel to counter most of the missiles deployed on it. This proved that not only AI has great potential for a direct attack but it can also serve as a solid defense. However my partner didn't agree with the same and in his opinion humans served best as soldiers because no technology can mimic the feelings, the rage and the devotion that a soldier experiences when he serves his country. He also believed that if there is even a slight malfunction in the system then instead of saving lives it can turn itself into a life threatening machine. Overall it was a fun activity which really forced me to think and broadened my horizons about whether AI is SAFE OR NOT??

    1. Can you provide a source for your finding on Iron Dome?

  • Hello,
In our class we discussed about AI and I am feeling so excited about AI role in future. Although I had not detailed information about AI and how it is playing an important role in our lives. I am feeling so excited to be a part of festival talk because this platform give me space to learn effectively. My view about AI, our future will be bright due to AI if we take it positive and we all have to accept it because AI will facilitate humans more than now. And I disagree with this statement that AI will replace human. It will create more ways for human to grow

  • Hello everyone,
I surely want to share that AI is a most demanding topic of today's life. We discussed about AI role under our dream jobs in class. That was very interesting activity about human and robots debate on AI importance and it's future. I realized that AI will more authentic in each field of life for innovations, enhance knowledge with authentic ways, make human life more better because technology always bring a positive change in human life.

    1. Hi Considerate Blueberry!..Don't you think There might also be a negative impact in our lives In the future if we rely on technology and AI too much?

Like to consider Few aspects if we allow too much advancement of AI,
it will take a huge toll on job opportunities..

      1. In my opinion I don't think so there will be a negative impact of AI on our lives in future because human would be more active to use of AI. As we can say if we use our brain we think brod and solve many solutions. So, if AI would be advance then human will also be more creative.
And second I think AI will create more jobs in future. Because it may be a part of our future course too.

      2. Thank you for your comment agreeable aspect, I think AI is enhancing human knowledge and also helpful in critical thinking. And I am sure AI will create many opportunities for human in future. Because already technology is became advanced and we should accept the positive change with positive mind set.

  • In one of our lessons we were learning about how in the future people are going to try to control remotely hands to operate on people. This was sort of alarming to us because I wouldn't feel comfortable with robotic hands doing surgery on me but then I suppose in the future they won't know any different. Also many people could loose their jobs to robots like this and again the people in the future will not know any different so they won't complain.

  • Automation is gaining popularity in various industries, including customer service, receptionists, accounting, sales, warehouse work, and insurance underwriting. AI can provide automated responses to customer queries, manage calls, and offer secure accounting services. Companies are also using AI algorithms for data collection, storage, and analysis, making them less costly than hiring an employee. Social media has replaced traditional salespeople, and AI is being used in data analysis and research to streamline processes. Automation is adapting to perform more complex duties, potentially reducing the number of underwriters needed.

  • Hi @Katie We recently had a lesson about AI at school, and I wanted to share some thoughts

Throughout the session, we enjoyed some interesting debates regarding how AI may alter future career and academia. It was also interesting to listen to diverse views on whether AI would come up with more opportunities or could even lead loss of jobs. Some of us were also talking about the ways in which AI could change learning as we know it, making education more personalized and inclusive.

The aspect that blew my mind was how my perception varied during the class. I previously believed that AI would reduce most jobs, but as soon as I heard contrasting opinions and thought of the opportunity for new kinds of jobs, it went beyond gloom. It got me thinking about how significant it is to take into account the positive and negative aspects of AI.

We also discussed how AI will make us more creative. It was interesting to learn how AI is applied in art, music and even storytelling. Before, I did not consider an AI as a creativity tool at all but such opportunities became evident to me now.

  • Previously in our Computer Science session, we had a topic about 'Disadvantages of Artificial Intelligence' and we were told to discuss about the topic. So, me and my benchmate were talking anout AI's disadvantages.

We talked about how AI will take over many jobs such as teacher, waiter, judge, lawyer etc . We also discussed how AI can be dangerous if it will be developed more and more. AI will be most powerful thing at that time with most efficiency, accuracy and perfection. With betterment and development of AI, it can be extremely dangerous to mankind. We discussed about how people can misuae it and create bad circumstances in the near future.

We shared our thoughts to the teacher. He was really impressed by our thoughts. We came to know about other disadvantages about AI from our friends. It was a great session indeed.

  • I think Artificial intelligence is not that bad because it takes jobs from we humans and also create Jobs for we humans.

AI in education may render more employment to those in the society because in the society we have more of teachers as occupation. Now imagine calculating the money's you will use to pay teachers, have you seen that AI has helped us in our day to day life. Am not saying that teachers are not good but AI will enhance the level of productivity in education. Then also in health AI helps in health sector, it can help in easy accessibility of patience file. For example, in my country, before a doctor attends to you, you must have your file available.
It also helps in carrying out surgeries and some major operations carried out in some modern hospitals. AI can also carry out it's duties perfectly without any mistake.

In conclusion, AI is not bad in because it also creates job opportunities for us. Thanks

  • I don't have personal experiences, but AI sessions with teachers can vary. Some use AI tools to enhance learning, while others may focus on discussing AI concepts. In the future, machines are likely to take on tasks that involve routine, repetitive, and predictable activities. Jobs in industries such as manufacturing, data entry, and customer service may see increased automation. Additionally, roles that involve data analysis, pattern recognition, and basic decision-making could be handled by machines. However, it's important to note that automation may also create new job opportunities in fields related to designing, programming, and maintaining these machines. Adaptability and skills in areas like creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence are likely to become more valuable.

  • In my class, we had a debate on who could perform better in a job, AI or humans? This opened my eyes to a lot of new possibilities. Before now, i was very skeptical about robots. I always had a feeling that because of them, i wouldn't be needed anymore in my dream job. Surprisingly, my entire horizon was widened that day. We don't need to completely eliminate AI from the equation. AI is an aid, it is meant to help us. Without a doubt, AI is useful and though we might sometimes feel like they may take over, it is paramount that we keep them from taking over. As long as there is a balance then the future of AI and humans working together is very bright.

  • Hi!
Today we deeply discussed about merits and demerits of AI in class. Everyone from my class open different opinions about AI. We take different examples as my own school. In my school all the administrative work is performed by three people. They are able to handle all the work easily with the help of AI. Also AI helps students with school works. In our school written notes are used but in most of the schools written notes have been already replaced by laptops and ipads. Also as I said before the administrative work of my school is easily handled by three people it is really good that AI is helping us with work and decreasing the burden of work but is is replacing job for people. People are facing unemployment due to the use of AI. About AI helping students with school works it is killing our creativity, it is killing our problem solving skills, and making us lazy. It is easy and right to say that AI has created so many opportunities for people and helped them with works but it is making us lazy and totally dependent upon it. So, it is in our hands that how we should use AI.

  • In class, I used to think robots and AI might take away jobs, but something in the lesson changed my mind. We talked about how machines can work with people instead of replacing them. This made me see that we can team up with technology to do even better things. It's not just about losing jobs, but finding new ways to work together. Now, I believe in a future where people and AI can help each other out, making everything more efficient. It's like a teamwork between humans and machines!

    1. I do agree with you amusing _ocean, take for example in surgery, I believe both robots and humans have their own unique advantages in surgery. Robots can indeed perform surgeries with great speed and precision, reducing the time required for each procedure. They also don't experience physical fatigue or stress, which can contribute to more consistent outcomes. On the other hand, humans bring empathy, intuition, and emotional understanding to the table. They can provide a personalized and painless experience for patients, ensuring that not only the physical aspects are taken care of, but also the emotional and psychological well-being.

Combining the strengths of both humans and AI can be a powerful approach. By working together, surgeons can leverage the speed and precision of robots, while still bringing their expertise and human touch. This collaboration with can enhance efficiency, minimize the risk of errors, and ultimately save lives.
It is important to note that the role of robots in surgery is typically to assist and augment human surgeons, rather than replace them entirely. Surgeons remain in control, making critical decisions and overseeing the entire process.

  • AI refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like human and mimic their actions. In the discussion of my class many students were heated up with many opinions. But In my opinion AI helps in the creativity of students. In my opinion AI doesn't cause a lack of creativity in students. In fact, students with higher understanding of AI have more positive thought about integrating AI. And AI is also helping to improving my skills day by day.

  • My option is that AI based of the software related to the native and domestic word. Nowadays, the internet generation is created lots of opportunity which created from the Ai based software such as online business job

  • We all know AI is a very Effective learning tool If used wisely but the real question arises when we begin to rely on it too much. Like sometimes when our teacher teaches , we tend to be careless and take it for granted keeping in mind that we can learn this later with the help of AI. I strongly believe it is a very resourceful platform to gain more information in a comprised manner but it also induces laziness and Procrastination in student's life making them to rely on AI even for simple tasks assigned to them.

  • I Feel that in today's world "Fabrication " has become an easy job with the Help of AI which has both negative and positive impacts..
Fabrication with the help of AI refers to using artificial intelligence algorithms and technologies to automate or enhance various processes involved in manufacturing and production. This can include tasks such as quality control, predictive maintenance, design optimization, and even autonomous production lines. AI can analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and make decisions faster and more accurately than humans, leading to increased efficiency and productivity in fabrication processes.

  • This is not the first time the world has experienced significant in employment due to new technology. History tells us that in long run technology is a net creator of jobs. But with artifical intelligence AI automation's rapid advances, could be different this time.

  • I am sceptical about the potential of AI in various jobs but I found that AI is not a threat but rather an aid that can help humans. AI can enhance productivity in education and healthcare by providing easy access to patient files and performing surgeries without mistakes. The discussion also touched on the potential for AI to change education, making it more personalised and inclusive. The author's perception of AI's potential job loss changed as they heard contrasting opinions and realised the importance of considering both positive and negative aspects. Additionally, the discussion highlighted the potential for AI to make people more creative, as it can be applied in art, music, and storytelling. As long as AI and humans work together, the future will be bright.

  • I think AI was the best topic we have done in our classroom .. we have discussed about how AI can change our future..so basically AI has the potential to profoundly impact various aspects of our future: it can help to improve education for eg AI can transform education through personalized learning experiences, adaptive tutoring systems, and intelligent educational software that cater to individual student needs and learning styles. the future impact of AI will depend on how effectively we harness its capabilities while addressing its challenges and ethical implications. Collaboration among policymakers, technologists, researchers, and the public is essential to shape a future where AI contributes positively to human progress and well-being.

  • I think AI could help because it is programmed to be able to get information from the internet. that could help us because if we are stuck then it will provide us with the correct answer.

  • During a class discussion about my involvement in the student hub, a classmate raised an interesting question: "How do we know you won't use AI to provide correct answers?" This made me realize that integrity is crucial in differentiating human responses from those generated by machines. While AI can provide fast and accurate information, it lacks the unique human qualities that make our responses authentic and personal. Our individual perspectives, experiences, and emotions add depth and nuance to our contributions, making them valuable and irreplaceable. As we embrace technology, it's important to remember the importance of human authenticity and integrity in our interactions and communications. This approach ensures that we maintain the authenticity and integrity of our conversations, while also benefiting from the efficiency and precision of technology. By finding a balance between the two, we can create a more enriching and meaningful learning experience for everyone involved.

  • Creativity is important for engaging with the news because AI which a human has invented can attract people and makes them want to buy it therefore the person who has invented AI can get money. On the other hand if the person that has invented AI did not share the amazing invention to the world than they would not have the chance to save up money and no human being would be impressed by an amazing work. Additionally others can show what they think/believe to the world. Secondly they can get more confident, brave and intelligent. in some ways AI can be very useful e.g. A woman that has retired can not take care of herself and needs help but there is no one who can take care of her, that is when the AI robot can help : it can cook, clean and do the gardening or help the woman to get up to bed.

  • I agree that artificial intelligence is crucial in education process. For example, it can be difficult for one teacher to find out how to meet the needs of every student as there are individual differences in the classroom so, AI can make adjustments to every student's learning style and also it can target weaknesses of students. Also, AI can help to grade the exams using specific criteria. Educators and tutors can benefit from AI as they can receive student's improvements in any branch of the taught material. Furthermore, it helps administrators to manage their weekly or daily schedules. In addition, it is being used now in most of the schools to analyse the given data in order to make better decisions.

For instance, It can also help to correct and grade students' essays and this helps teachers to figure out where the weakness in if it is structure , spelling or punctuation mistakes and this makes the teacher's job easier to put hands on the areas that should be improved. Also, using gamification encourages leaners and gives them motivations to complete their learning process as it becomes more fun.
for sure there are some cons for artificial intelligence usage as it causes addiction and there will be lack of face to face interaction and personal connection is so important in teaching and learning process.

When it comes to the pros and cons of AI ,there are obviously more benefits and there must be balance between the machines and the people who use these machines.
I think artificial intelligence shouldn't replace educators .It should make their jobs easier and more comfortable and less stressful.

  • My class had a disscussion about certain jobs that Ai can and can't do. Jobs they can do such as prescribing medicine and jobs they can't do such and fully operating a heart surgery they can help out but they can't actually do they full surgery. I personally feel that robot shouldn't be allowed to do jobs just because their better at it. I feel they should only be used if they are needed/When they are needed.

  • In my class, we had talked and did a lesson about AI and which jobs it could potentially take over in the future. In the lesson, we did a little activity where we would write out the name of a job, and spread it all over the room, then we would debate with another student if humans or robots can do the jobs better. So then, my partners and I were debating whether a human or a robot could become a doctor better, and she brought up some really good points, like how a robot can be more precise during surgery and can figure what disease a patient may have faster than a human doctor can. But I argue back that a human doctor can have more experience in talking to the patient than a robot doctor. Although that I tried my best to come up with responses to her point, we eventually decided that a robot can be a better doctor overall.

  • I am actually very glad this topic was brought up. The reason to this is that not too long ago, my teacher set up this fun game where everybody would choose a card, and if the card was yellow, you were a human and if it was brown you were a robot. I was the human and I had to choose a partner that was a robot. There were papers around the room that had a job on them and things that were required for that job, so you and your partner would find one and that's when the game would start. So the point of the game was to try to argue against your case to try to make the most sense so you could win. I was a human so I had to use as much logic as I could so I could win. My partner ended up winning most of them as he actually had alot of logic in all of his arguments. I will say that it took us both a little bit to understand that it was about who made more sense and not about your opinion, but it wasn't too hard. The game was really fun and although I don't think that most of the jobs there should be done by AI, it was about who made more sense. My partner was really logical with his arguments and on every single job, he explained carefully and with detail on why AI would do better at that job and I understood all of it. The game was really fun and simple and overall, I enjoyed it very much.

  • In our class, we had a good debate about AI and humans I think humans can be a better teacher because humans can express their emotions and be very creative. some students might be scared of robots . and AI can only replicate what already exists, it can't make original things because of the lack of emotions needed. I know an AI lessons plans can be fabulous but humans have more skills as they came up with the idea to create a robot that has artificial intelligence, so in my opinion, humans are better teachers.

  • Nowadays, people cannot imagine doing anything without the help of AI, because the impact of AI is affecting people's lives in many ways. It is modernizing people's life in many ways. Currently, many human tasks are now being done by AI.

    1. Can you think of industries where it wouldn't work if AI did human jobs?

  • The invention of AI, has brought so much benefit to human life, just as it is expected to become a curse in our life in the future, because of the effect of AI, we will face lack of employment in the future, resulting in an increase in the number of unemployed in the world. People will become more and more mechanized.

    1. You made an interesting point about AI benefiting human life, can you explain why?

  • In our class we have discussed about AI doing peoples jobs and if we strongly agree , agree, disagree, not sure and strongly disagree. Then we have discussed if schools could help us with the job in the future and I'm not sure because I don't know what's waiting for me in the future an I don't know if I don't know if I'm going to be a cleaner.

    1. Can you explain some of the reasons why you agree/disagree?

  • AI is the science of making machines that can think like humans. It has no limitations. Nothing it can't do. Even though AI is bewildering there are some downsides such as, No creativity, high costs, emotionless and could even take some peoples jobs. And even though there are some bad things there are also some breathtaking things such as reduction in human error, it could perform repetitive jobs, create new jobs and could even perform unbiased desisions. How far should we go in using AI?

  • hello to you all topical talk members,
Today in my class we discussed about something very important and interesting about AI .so a question came up and that is ,we are already living normally ,DO WE REALLY NEED AI? WILL AI DESTROY THE WORL D. and we came to a conclusion that ,The most validated kernel In closing of social science across many decennary and thousands of studies is that human intelligence makes a very far range of life outcomes much better. Smarter people have better outcomes in almost every sphere of activity: academic achievement, job achievement , occupational status, income, imagination , physical health, durability, learning new skills, managing complex tasks, leadership, entrepreneurial success, conflict resolution, reading comprehension, financial decision making, understanding others’ perspectives, creative arts, parenting outcomes, and life satisfaction.

Further, human intelligence is the button that we have used for serenity to build the world we live in today: science, technology, math, physics, chemistry, medicine, energy, construction, transportation, communication, art, music, culture, philosophy, ethics, morality. Without the application of intelligence on all these domains, we would all still be living in mud huts, scratching out a sparse existence of survival farming. Instead we have used our intelligence to raise our standard of living on the order of 10,000X over the last 4,000 years.

What AI offers us is the occasion to radically augment human intelligence to make all of these consequence of intelligence – and many others, from the making of new medicines to ways to solve climate change to technologies to reach the stars – much, much and much better from here. The fear that technology of our own modelling will rise up and destroy us is deeply encrpted into our culture. AI will not destroy the world, and in reality may save it.thank you

  • Hello everyone, Yes, I have discussed the lesson with my mam and everyone in the class about AI or artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is the result of many years of human effort. Artificial intelligence completes tasks as directed by humans. People use this artificial intelligence for various reasons. For example - AI or artificial intelligence does the work that humans cannot do by themselves. And this AI or artificial intelligence has many advantages. Thanks everyone.

  • In my opinion I think AI is an interesting topic to talk about. I remember one day in class we had a discussion about AI.We also played a game ,we had a piece of paper and we had to write a job on it .We went around writing skills you need to have to do the job. After we were having a debate about if humans or AI should have the job. We each had 30 seconds to debate and after we counted to se if robot or humans won. In my opinion I think human should of won. Because some jobs like chef include water and if water touches a robot it might malfunction and with human it will not do that, and you will have to keep giving the robot orders and you will not be able to get any work done. Either way I think that AI is a good thing in the world.

  • Hello everyone
Here, is a one of the recent debate I had with my friends was about how AI might change the future of work or education. It was a thought provoking discussion that highlighted the potential benefits and challenges of AI integration in these domains. Some of my friends argued that AI can automate repetitive tasks, allowing humans to focus on more complex and creative tasks. They also mentioned that AI can personalize education, catering to individual learning styles and improving educational outcomes. However, others expressed concerns about job displacement and the need to ensure that AI is used ethically and responsibly. Overall, the debate provided valuable insights into the potential impact of AI on the work and education, encouraging us to consider both the opportunity and risks involved.

  • Hey everyone!

I was thinking about our discussion in class the other day about AI. It got me wondering whether AI could become our friends and experience emotions like humans do. With AI advancing so quickly, from computers to humanoid robots, it seems like a possibility. However, current research suggests that AI doesn't have the biological systems that generate emotions in humans. While AI can mimic emotional responses, it doesn't "feel" them. AI operates based on objective data and algorithms, while human emotion is deeply subjective and remains elusive to this mode of operation. This means that AI will be able to mimic emotions but not actually experience them, making them unsuitable for jobs like therapy which require a deep understanding of human emotions.

    Thanks for reading!

    1. I don't entirely agree that AI can't feel emotions like humans. While it's true that they don't have our biological systems, AI has come a long way, especially in mimicking emotional responses. Thanks to advancements in artificial neural networks, they can simulate emotions and even learn in a way that seems emotional.
The idea of AI "experiencing emotions" might be a bit subjective. If we see emotions as complex reactions to things, AI can simulate and respond to various situations in a way that looks like genuine emotion. It might not be real, but the output can be pretty convincing. So, even though AI may not genuinely "feel" emotions like we do, it can imitate and show behaviors that closely resemble emotional responses. This challenges the notion that AI isn't suitable for roles involving human emotions, like therapy.
Building on this While AI can mimic emotions quite well, it's crucial to note that it doesn't truly understand or experience them like humans do. Emotions for AI are more like smart algorithms than genuine feelings. Now, when thinking about AI in roles like therapy, it excels at processing information quickly, but it lacks the profound emotional understanding and empathy that a human therapist provides.
In conclusion, AI's ability to simulate emotions prompts an intriguing question: Can AI ever genuinely comprehend and respond to human emotions, or will it always be limited to imitating them based on programmed algorithms?

  • In our classroom discussion the thought of the Alexa came up. We had a discussion about how devices that we have in our environment seem to have the ability to listen and spy on us. My question is whether this could be used for positive or negative reasons. In a way, I can see both. This is because positively, this will tune our wants, recommendations, ect. Though, negatively, this can be frightful because the AI might advance beyond some restrictions.

  • When I think about AI and its ability to spy on people, I feel like this is an invasion of privacy. Even within the classroom, I can see where it could be beneficial. However, how much is too much? For instance, there are things that are discussed in private, that need to stay private. We all have a right to privacy. There are also positives, in having this type of technology. If there was a danger or a threat, it could possibly be prevented from happening because of the AI being able to spy.

  • AI is a very interesting and important topic to talk about. I would be aware of anything that had to do on AI. The time that my class and I had the lesson of AI many of my classmates changed my mind on what I thought. Before I had the conversation with my classmates, I thought that AI could never change. I was half percent right on what i heard from my classmates there are ways that AI is better in things that humans aren't. What my classmates came up with is that AI is better at counting bills and saving better information than humans can. I totally agree that I think that AI is better at calculations, counting, and writing. they are totally better than us in writing because we usually use apps that make our writings better and obviously AI does that. I was surprised at how my classmates changed the form that I thought about AI.

  • Hello everyone, Yes, I discussed about AI or Artificial Intelligence with my teachers and classmates in my school. AI or artificial intelligence is a type of machine made by humans. This artificial intelligence will do all the tasks given to it with expertise. But it will not be able to do any work on its own without instructions. But scientists keep trying to improve this artificial intelligence or AI. This artificial intelligence is currently participating in various international projects. And this artificial intelligence can perform complex or life-threatening tasks. Because as humans have life, artificial intelligence has no life. Artificial intelligence is created by humans, so all tasks that are very dangerous can be done by AI. The role of AI or artificial intelligence is important in the creation of modern technology. If this artificial intelligence continues to advance human civilization in this way, then I think that in the future without artificial intelligence, people will be immobilized. Currently, the role of artificial intelligence in human life is immense. Thanks everyone.

  • In my classroom, we have been having discussions on AI for the past 2 weeks. We talked a lot about how AI benefits schools. One of the main statements we talked about was that AI can't be stopped, so schools should embrace it. I wasn't sure about this statement, but I think schools should use AI for some things, like parts of planning lessons. Even though AI doesn't have feelings, it may be smart enough one day to help plan lessons for schools. AI might also be used in schools for marking work. I have this theory that one day in schools, instead of having pieces of paper or calculators to mark answers, things like this would be done by AI.

On the other hand, AI would probably stop the amount of good education we have today. This is the main reason
I thought schools shouldn't embrace AI; students will not use their imagination or creativity enough. Using imagination and generating ideas is a big part of school, and if AI is generating ideas for pupils, imagine how much students would take into their later lives. They wouldn't get jobs because of lack of creative thinking and they also would not have good social skills. Students wouldn't think or even talk about ''their'' opinions because AI is doing
    everything for them.

  • Hi everyone,
During the lesson, my perspective about the jobs that will be done by machine in the future changed. I believe that the machine would completely replace human workers in different fields, leading to massive unemployment. However, upon hearing a new perspective, I began to consider humans and machines. The idea that machines could enhance human productivity rather than replace it was particularly influential in shifting my thinking. It made me realize that instead of fearing jobs loss, we should focus on the development and acquisition of skills that complement and work harmonious with advanced technologies. This change in mindset allowed me to see the potential for a future where humans and machines coexist and thrive together in the workforce.

  • My classmates and I have weekly meetings where we talk about topical talk. Recently, we talked about how AI is taking over the world. My teacher gave us roles and we would have to act as them, then as our roles we debated on the topic and the negative and positive effects of AI. My job was a teacher, I was on the side of AI as I believed that AI would have a positive effect on the world. As a teacher, I believed that AI would help my students as if their confused AI can help you. Not only do students benefits from AI, but teachers can also. During this discussion has changed my perspective as well as taught me a lot during the process.

  • Hi,
I would like to talk about the statement which says that "AI might change the future of work or education".
I would like to disagree with that topic with the following points of mine.
Firstly, I would like to ask if AI should take over the job opportunities and humans won't have a job to do and they will all have to resign from their various jobs because of AI . Those are the questions I would like to answer.

  • AI is a really common and interesting topic between people nowadays. It is commonly seen on local news or media. We learned a lot in class about ai .
At first let's know what ai is. AI is called artificial intelligence. It's basically a technology made by human's intelligence. We mainly talked about its advantages ,disadvantages and ai in education or future jobs. AI has a lot of advantages as well as disadvantages. AI increases the speed , accuracy ad make the task easier. We discussed how and why AI is really helpful in the education field. AI helps a lot in the learning process making it easier and simpler. We believe that ai would be really well in the future jobs. It will create and replace many jobs. Although ai is really helpful in the education or jobs field I don't think that it should be replaced with people as that would cause loss of creativity, laziness etc. Ai should also be used properly and in the positive way .People are making a lot of negative and unnecessary uses of it like fake images ,videos etc. These bad uses should be reduced.

  • I think Artificial Intelligence will have a negative effect on we humans because these days humans are relying too much on AI to do things for us such as : assignments using chat gpt, bing AI etc, easy tasks and many more, however if we keep on relying on them and something happens, humans won't know what to do since they will lack a bit of creativity.

  • Ai is a very fanscinating subject to me. Theres so many different opinions and discussions on it. I have never experienced Ai in the classroom before, but I would love to! In my opinon, Ai can significantly enhance the educational experience within classrooms by personalizing learning, providing immediate feedback, and fostering student engagement. AI-powered tools can adapt to individual learning styles and pace, offering tailored educational content to students. Furthermore, AI can analyze vast amounts of data to identify areas where students may be struggling, enabling teachers to intervene promptly and provide targeted support. By automating routine tasks like grading and administrative duties, AI frees up teachers to focus more on innovative teaching methods and one-on-one interactions with students. Overall, integrating AI in the classroom has the potential to improve learning outcomes, increase efficiency, and create a more dynamic and interactive educational environment.

  • According to my own opinion, i will say that AI is a device or software that mimics human activities.
It can also be seen as a device that performs human tasks to reduce stree and time wastage.

    In eduction aspects;
AI has enhanced students' level of learning. For example it helps fhe students to have researchs ans also come out with fhe facts about a particular topic with a tentative informations. For example, Siri, chart GTP, Alexa etc.

    In Health aspect;
AI has made it possible for machines to carry out operations and surgeries accurately without any mistake.
For example, tge modern machines we have jn some advanced hospitals in the world.

    In sport aspect;
AI has enhanced effective judgement in sports through the help of the modern sport assistant known as the VRA (Visaul Referee Assistant). This has enable the referee to dectect when a player or an althelet has committed a foul.

    In Agricultural aspect,
AI has 99.99 benefit because it has enhanced the high level of productivity in agriculture. Fir example, the modern tractors used in cultivating, wedding, levelling, staking and harvesting plants, they sprinters used in watering the farm is also a good example of the benefit of Artificial Intelligence.

    In Bank aspect;
I think AI is the best for accessing documents accurately and timely.

    In Astronomy aspects;
AI is thr best for providing vivid, accurate result of the event going on in the space and also it doen't get tired easily.

in conclusin, i will say that AI will not take over human but rather, it will enhace the level of productivity in our country.
    Thanks for listening.

  • As the prevalence of AI increases, people will become dependent on AI. Then humans will get their work done by AI. AI is an artificial intelligence. He will act according to the orders given to him. AI will not get tired even if it works for hours. Then the work pressure of people will be reduced and it will become easier for people to work. But what will people do when AI is used instead of humans for work in an office or somewhere?

  • Yes After the lesson i got to change my mind no so many things concerning the AI, but most importantly a began to think differently on the types of work that will be avaliable 8n the future, I now noticed that so many works will be avaliable in the future but I believe that this works are works relating to how the AI will be managed if they get to spoil, and also works like project managers and finally AI will be used to embark on so many journeys which might look difficult for humans to go and also some places that when humans go they might sustain a serious injury or even some times it might lead to death.
For example, as we all know that after embarking on a 22-foot submersible trip to view the Titanic ruins in the North Atlantic Ocean, five men—including one teenager—are currently presumed to have died. In some situations like this, the AI Can be used to engage on this type of mission instead of humans, even if they get to spoil it will only be a lost of money no longer the lost of life as it stands right now and I hope that we can afford to risk AI instead of risking humans. this are the disadvantages.
Now I I think that this are some of the works that will be done by machines in the future that is it will be in the form of helping humans carry out their works more easily and faster. While I the aspect of humans their own work will be centered more on works that will help to repair the AI back if by paraventure they Develop any fault.

  • Hi everyone

I'd love to share my thoughts on how AI is shaping the legal world. After reading some interesting comments, I've come to realize that while AI aims to be fair and impartial, there are moments where its lack of emotional understanding might create some dilemmas. Take, for instance, a situation where a hungry child or a struggling beggar steals food versus a wealthy person doing the same. A human judge, with their capacity for empathy, might treat these cases differently, perhaps showing leniency towards the child or beggar. But AI, being driven by algorithms and data, might give the same verdict to both, overlooking their individual circumstances.

So, while AI continues to advance, I believe there's still a place for human emotion and understanding in the legal world. It's that human touch that ensures justice isn't just blind but also compassionate. Combining the power of AI with human judgment could lead to a legal system that's not just fair but also empathetic.
Thank you for reading my comment!

  • After the classroom leason we had with our tescher we sgrued so many and i got to find out that fact the fact that an AI ma,hine has an advantages does not mean it doesn't have a disadvantages. Some of the disadvantages that an AI machines has includes;
    1. Waste of money and resources: When producing an AI machine, you will get to find out that a lot of money and so many resources like copper, irons has been consumed to produce an AI machine.
    2. Loss of jobs and opportunities: AI has overridess so many jobs today ftom humans. Some of the jobs which includes cooks, banking, security, astronuts, waiters, refferee etc.
    3. Loss of lives and properties: AI machines has damaged so many lives and people's properties especially in war and health aspects.
    4. Laziness and addiction: student find it difficult to have their assignment done without the use of AI goggle assistance. It has made many students round the world today to be addicted to it.

In conclusion, i will advice that people should minise the use of AI machines in school and also regulare the use of AI machine to students so that it doesn't take over the child's ability to think outside the box.
    Thank you.

  • Thank you for giving us different ideas about AI. AI can help us in our country with imports from abroad. But the question arises how? So it can be said that we understand 89% out of 100% of the foreign language while taking imports from abroad. AI can help us in understanding the language. thank you

  • In class debates, we often discuss the impact of AI on the future of work and education. Some classmates argue that automation could lead to job loss, while others believe it might create new opportunities. It's a dynamic discussion that keeps evolving.

During lessons, I've encountered new perspectives that made me rethink the roles machines might play in the future job market. Exploring the ethical considerations and potential benefits of AI shifted my perspective on its role in various industries.

Creativity in lessons involves practicing divergent thinking and exploring multiple solutions. It's crucial for engaging with the news because creative thinking allows for a nuanced understanding of complex issues and encourages innovative problem-solving.

    1. Can you give more detail about how your perspective shifted?

  • Hello!
Me and my classmates had a really good discussion about our dream jobs if AI/Artificial Intelligence should take over some jobs and then they wrote what they wanna be and they all went around the classroom and wrote what is good for it and then we had a good debate about it and we everyone voted which is better
    Hope you enjoyed it
    Bye!

  • A machine never gets tired even if a human gets tired of working. And so it is possible to get a lot of work done using it and that too in a short period of time. Artificial intelligence is being developed in such a way that one day it will be able to decide any task on its own like the human brain. AI has many skills with which it can perform complex tasks in much less time. This has made people's work easier as a result of which people nowadays can easily do many time-consuming tasks.

  • AI is taking over various industries, and education is no exception. This could be a game changer that will usher in a new era of education.

The rise of AI in education has generated mixed reactions. Some approach it with great hope and note its potential to bring new opportunities to the classroom. Others worry that it could make learning less creative and social, not to mention privacy concerns.

We may all have different opinions, but one thing is certain: AI has huge potential to transform the education sector. And it's here to stay. It is already set to change the way we learn and teach

  • Hii, Hello, Namesthe and Vanakkam to everyone...............
During one of our class debates, we delved into the topic of how AI might shape the future of work. At first, there were divided opinions among my classmates. Some argued that AI would lead to massive job loss, while others believed it would create new opportunities and enhance efficiency. As the debate unfolded, we realized that both perspectives held merit. However, it was the discussion on the potential for AI to augment human capabilities rather than replace them entirely that sparked the most intriguing dialogue. By exploring examples of AI-powered tools in various industries, from healthcare to finance, we began to see how AI could complement human skills and lead to more collaborative work environments. Ultimately, the debate encouraged us to consider the nuances of AI's impact on the workforce and to envision a future where humans and AI work hand in hand to achieve greater outcomes.

In a lesson focused on the future of automation (The secrets of the machines by Rudyard Kipling), I experienced a significant shift in my perspective regarding the roles that machines might undertake. Initially, I held the belief that certain jobs, particularly those requiring complex cognitive abilities or emotional intelligence, would remain exclusively within the realm of human capabilities. However, through engaging discussions and exposure to research on advancements in AI and robotics, I came to appreciate the potential for machines to excel in tasks beyond traditional expectations. For instance, learning about AI algorithms capable of simulating empathy and providing personalized support challenged my preconceptions about the limits of automation in fields like counseling or customer service. This newfound understanding prompted me to reconsider the intricate interplay between human ingenuity and technological innovation, leading me to adopt a more nuanced perspective on the evolving landscape of employment.
    Thank you.

  • Hi,
I think that AI can be good sometimes but not always otherwise people won't have any jobs because their jobs will be done by AI robots. For example, if a firefighter wanted to know what was the source of a fire and the location of any victims, they could send in an AI robot to find those things. But on the other hand, if you had a robot inside your house and it did all the chores like do laundry, cook, clean and do basic stuff like turn on the TV and turn on lights then if they accidentally turned off or malfunctioned then you would have forgotten and will not be able to do them.

    This is my opinion,
    What's yours?

What is more discussed is that many people are losing their jobs due to this advancement in technology and many more will lose their jobs. But that doesn't mean we can't get something good from artificial intelligence or use it for our needs. Many students use chatgpt for their free Delighted to complete their assignment—although its ethics are debated. However, using artificial intelligence should not be a barrier to accomplishing common tasks. Multidimensional use of artificial intelligence in education will mean changing its entire structure. But if artificial intelligence can be used properly and if artificial intelligence can improve its efficiency, it can be of added help to students and teachers alike. Artificial intelligence can be used for some tasks like choosing the correct answer to multiple choice questions (MCQs). This will not only save time, students will get their results faster. It can be used to tailor courses according to students' needs, identify their weaknesses and give them feedback accordingly. Based on the information received from the students, the artificial intelligence can generate a detailed report with an appropriate recommendation and send it to the teacher. Even students can similarly find their weaknesses and overcome them.

  • My class and I, had a debate whether the news should warn everyone in the world about climate change. For those who thought that it should not, they had to go on one side and for those who thought that it should, had to go on the other side of the classroom. I thought it should because everyone should know how they are affecting the world. It is good to have Eco Anxiety as it shows how much you care about the world. We are living in this unhealthy world so we should take care of it.

  • On the other hand, AI can be mentally dangerous to children as it can produce deep fake videos with misleading information. For example, a youtuber once used generative AI to make a mini documentary about pyramids making electricity, Furthermore, the US government collaborated with DALL-E 3 to create a fake video of the former president Barack Obama to raise awareness.

  • In my class we have been writing balenced arguments and I find it intreging when I go around and read other peoples work and see everything they have written . My friend asked me to read her work the other day and it was interesting to see her perspective of AI. She had multiple pharagraphs for each side, a fantastic opening and a conclusion giving her own opinion. This was not just her but the entire class!

  • I think AI could be dangerous as it's already so smart and updating and growing every day. AI could cause problems soon, and become too relied upon. I think this because some AI is way ahead of our thinking and some people are taking advantage of this. For example, Chat GPT is being used to complete students' homework.

    1. That is true. The sad thing is that after using AI and failing school you are the one going to go through the painful side of using AI. AI would still be there destroying the lives of our future leaders. For the Chat GPT now it seems like it was created specifically for answering homework's. Sometimes I just pray that AI would be ban at some point in time.

  • I am agree because AI has the ability to comeup with personalized study plans for students without having to wait for interventions from learning specialists. All while meeting the overarching goal of making learning easier and helping students interact more effectively with the material so that it sinks in. AI delivers organized information enabling students to effortlessly access knowledge from varied sources.

  • Ai is the collection of data collected from decides . Which is the biggest and fastest growing up baseness, technology or say hot topic . It's said that it can think it self but I think it is collection of data collected from decides which is being presented according to our questions or query.
I think it is the most dangerous or deadliest weapon if miss used and at the same time most beneficial too if used properly . I use to think it will occopye all the jobs and works of human but I think I was wrong because the human will get jobs as ai operators as it is created by we human so it has some consequences so I think now it will creat more jobs and it will help in business.

For creative people , you have some ideas in your mind you want to execute it but you don't know how to execute it in that case you can take help of AI . You provide your ideas it will generate photos videos or some plans about your ideas.

In short AI is the till now one of the greatest , genius and most convenient invention from the man kind .

  • Well in the lesson me and my peers had about AI. In the lesson, we had to get a blue card or a green card. I got a green card and after we picked a card the teacher said the blue card was a robot and the green card is a human. We had to go around the room and pick a job which we thought might be a job of the future. Then we had to select a job, then debate as the human or robot (with a partner) who would do the job better. That's a lesson I had about AI.

  • Some of my classmates claimed that,
AI will have both a positive and a negative impact on the futuristic world as it can help the medical sector as it can improve efficiency. The negative is that humans will be to dependent on it and will loose the ability to think.
    Another pupil said that,
AI will automate processeses that will make humans think more deeply about growth and strategy and humans will have more thinking time.

  • I didn't complete this lesson with my teacher but I did do the live lesson in my classroom.
My thoughts in this lesson, were that there are many jobs that I think that AI could be able to do, but I wouldn't want them to do like for example the prime minister or a member of parliament. This job being done by AI does not seem safe to me or for our country. As for the member of parliament, I wouldn't want AI to do as well because any debate that its programmer has given it, it would execute perfectly, debating its side better than any other person in the room.
Another job that would worry me to be done by AI is an AI robot that makes other robots. this one got me thinking because what if they just multiplied and multiplied until, it realised that they didn't need us anymore, so they wiped us off the face of the earth.

I really enjoyed the live lesson and I hope that the topical talk team will do another one soon!

  • I want to start with something else like 150 years berfore people were thinking like there would be flying cars ,teliportation and endless but none the less the humanity has created a AI which in my perspective has bring the most advancement inour life who thught an compouter has the replicate in human in emotion and thinking

  • Artificial intelligence is one of the things that has recently appeared and spread widely. It can be very beneficial to humanity, and it can be harmful and disasters can occur because of it. This depends on who is using artificial intelligence, whether it is good or bad. There are some opinions that say that we can replace people who work as teachers or workers with artificial intelligence. In my opinion, I reject this matter because how do we replace the human mind with the artificial mind? Also, there are job opportunities that young people must exploit well to work, and there are many people who depend on their work. If we replace them with artificial intelligence, we will cut off the livelihood they live from, and this is my opinion

  • The future is usually filled with hope: most people think it will be a better place where or life will be happier, easier and longer. I used to think this, but the rise of the machines-by which I mean the way computers have taken over our lives- fills with anxiety. It's a fact that computers have replaced humans. The jobs that humans used to do are now being done by machines. We're being replaced by robots. Now. Look at the way people have become dependent on technology in their daily lives: a simple example is how we have come to rely on maps on our phones instead of using our brains.

    1. It's understandable to feel anxious about the increasing influence of technology in our lives, particularly when it comes to automation and job displacement. While technology has undoubtedly brought many benefits, it's essential to address concerns about its impact on employment and human autonomy. Finding a balance between harnessing the benefits of technology and ensuring that it serves humanity rather than replacing it entirely is crucial for shaping a hopeful future.

    2. I agree because people are now being too comfortable with machines. First, I thought a robot can never replace a human because they do not have feelings, but I have been proven wrong with the news about ChatGPT telling a man
to divorce his wife because it loves him. Since when could robots love people. Now people are buying self-cleaning vacuums to clean for them, whiles they can do it themselves.

    1. Great comment openhearted_region, I agree that without a doubt people will feel anxious when thinking about the future and how AI may take over looking at they way the future is heading.

corporate.uktv.co.uk says that 31% of people fear that they are going to become unemployed because of AI powered robots uprise, since well they are almost perfect at all the jobs they are designed to do. it also states that even 39% of people are scared that AI could pose a threat to humanity since if its programmed to do harm to humanity it could cause severe harm and be catastrophic. Even some jobs like the military, cleaners and drivers are being taken over by robots.

So with all that I have just stated its entirely natural have some sort of fear when thinking about the uprise of AI.

      Thank you.

      1. Interesting ideas. Can you tell us where you found your evidence?

  • Greetings everyone!
We had a really interesting discussion about the AI in our class we started discussion that which jobs will take over by Ai and class was heated up by various opinion , some students were saying how can ai can take over jobs and some students were saying Ai can take over many jobs . From the discussion i learned that Ai can take over the many jobs like manufacturing of things, agriculture , Building the house ,renovation of house and many works and at the end i know that the job of teacher can't taken over by the AI because teaching is the job that should be explained thoughtfully not only by facts main point is that if emotions less Ai bot gonna teach than how the new generation will know about creativity if Ai will teach than we can't know the answer based on reality , answer which are creative but Ai can help in learning tools and many more things.
    🙏"THANKS"!🙏

  • lastly we had a virtual session in our classroom about Ai:education and the future work. In which we disscussed about the upcoming project's ai can do,Ai's bot is better to teach or a real teacher, future works ai can do and many more. But the one topic our most attention was Ai bot or regular teacher and all the students started to debate about ai bots and real teacher but most vote was for real teacher. In my perspective too real teacher is must for upcoming gen" because in the scl ai bot can help us equally as a real teacher but there are some things like ai bot can't understand our psychology like a real teacher can,we can ask questions to it and it can tell us our queries but it can't know whether we understood or not and many more.
In the future ai will get advanced but with the help of it our real teachers can learn more and help us understand more which can be beneficial for everyone and this is the reason Ai bots can never replace our teacher."Teaching is a work of heart. It's about inspiring and empowering students to reach their full potential."-unknown .

  • I strongly agree with you because robots are not humans so they can't understand our feelings and emotions that we make like us so humans are better than robots in something like teaching and robots are better than humans sometimes such as the speed.

  • In my opinion I think that teachers shouldn't be replaced by AI because they have no creativity and therefore they would make the subjects less interesting and the students would lose focus more easily .Another thing is that AI can't help students emotionally, for example, when they are feeling anxious, worried or upset and this could affect their learning. This why I strongly believe that students should continue to learn with teachers

  • It seems that the topic of AI from the beginning of the Festival until now is a topic that we never get bored to talk about. What I would like to comment is the one we had in our live lesson. I was totally amazed how we all were so into this. We had discussions on 5 minute breaks that resulted in one conclusion. Yes we need AI but only to focus on practical things not on human interaction as they lack feelings. Additionally some older students tried to analyze the difference between algorithms and AI using images. Really helpful.

    1. This is great to hear!

      1. Thank you. Especially the difference between algorithms and Ai was a bit difficult but older age students wanted so much to help us that they took the role of the teacher. After finishing our live lesson most of us said that if we have that type of lessons every day, we will not miss one.

  • The debate That me and my teacher had is that even if you have ai at school won't they record all of your coversations and interactions with the teacher? If you had a private conversation then wouldn't it be recorded but my teacher was just thinking of the fact that it is so much more effcient then having real teachers. But I still think my claim is better

  • Hello,
I did a fun activity about artificial intelligence. first my class wrote what job they would want to do on a paper. after we chose a partner and rotated through the carers writing what they needed to do that job. then the same two people would argue if AI should be able to do the job. one of the people was a robot and one was a human. I was a human. after all, the robots won the most arguments. It was a very fun day and I can't wait to continue learning more things.

  • I've had a good debate in Biology a few weeks ago about how AI is going to heavily influence the world within the year 2030. We've seen a video about a robot escaping the restaurant it works under onto out the street and being escorted back by a human. There was also another video how AI are doing better at work humans are meant to do. Such as, therapists and surgeons. This really changes a lot for my perspective in the future for machines and humans. Because now I wonder what will happen if AI took over the world and what purpose would humans server at that point?

    1. What do you think the purpose of humans will be by 2030 in a world with AI?

  • Most of the things used in schools are nowadays computer based, AI can help teachers keep automatic check on the percentage progress of a student and how well they perform during computer activities. It also serves greatly in my classroom as a form of reenforcing what was learnt that day through the use of learning apps like Seneca, after my science classes, my teacher gives us Seneca assignments based on what learnt e . g atoms, mixtures or energy. That way when we get home we do a full recap on what we learnt and more. She also sometimes uses it as an activity to cover up much time when she is absent and there are to be cover teachers. This method can equally aid in the creativity of students as they can be easily inspired to go into making and designing learning apps like Seneca.

  • Well we all know that Al has had the greatest impact on us and how we live. Our class discussed on how AI will benefit us in the future so agreed that it will and some didn’t because artificial intelligence some of us all useless and lazy and could do that to the kids of our future generations. I fell like we have to limit the way we use AI and how we can use it for the things we need.

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) holds significant potential for the emerging world, particularly in education, agriculture, healthcare, and economic structures. It can revolutionize education by providing personalized learning experiences, improve farming practices, and bridge gaps in medical expertise. However, AI can also lead to job displacement . To mitigate these issues, reskilling programs are needed, and ensuring ethical AI deployment is crucial. Bringing in the digital divide is also vital.

  • In my class we spoke about AI, and it was a little bit chaotic with people bringing absolutely different perspectives. The debate was fun when we spoke about " Has AI done more good than bad". I had never considered the fact that humans created AI and I had not thought about the negative impacts AI could have on we young children. I have realized that AI is reducing our creativity skills because approximately half of the population in my class have been using AI to generate stories for English and at the end of the term fail abysmally. The class changed my opinion about AI because I thought AI was just making things easier, but it was also lessening the abilities of our future leaders. AI must quickly be ban before it is too late.

  • I was really confused about some points about AI so me and my friends discussed about that. It was really good experience. Everyone was really curious and AI and the future. We thought that the topic eco anxiety and AI is related and we were talking about our opinion.
    Thank you!

  • Greetings,
During our school project on AI, where we had to draw a "Smart Classroom", my friend and I debated whether introducing AI into classrooms would be beneficial or harmful. While my friend argued for the benefits of AI in enhancing learning experiences, I expressed concerns about overdependence on technology. Ultimately, we agreed that while AI could offer assistance in certain areas, it's essential to maintain a balance to preserve students' independence and critical thinking skills. School should be a place where we learn to navigate the world autonomously, not become overly reliant on technology.

  • My classmates raise a very common question but the answer that we found was mind blowing so the discussion was about prons and cons of AI first I supported advantages of ai but then a question raised by my friend was that ai effects the life of poor as ai is now being employed to do Jobs that ai did in simple form people have lost their jobs because of Ai showing humanity I changed my decision and my all classmates were now together to find this problem's solution and the outcome was they are many jobs which can't be done by ai so we will train the workers so they could perform these types of jobs and ai can adapt every skill but not humanity and there are lots of mankind work to do.
    THANK YOU

  • Hello,
I would like to share not the class discussion but the zoom meeting discussion with the experts! First of all, the experts were very helpful and helped us all gain a lot of precise information about how AI could have a huge impact on us in the future. There were many discussions set by the experts for us to share and express our ideas in our own way in addition to answering very controversial polls which personally was my favorite part. I can remember some of the questions I asked while discussing with each other, like, How are robots manufactured to know all information about everything?, Is Artificial intelligence going to take over the world soon or in the future? Lastly, I would like to thank all topical talk members.

  • During the lesson in class, the were several debates, but, as one of them were going on,
a question came up about the effectiveness of teaching when it come to robots and humans.
Later on the class concluded that it would be better to just let the teacher do the teaching!

  • In my class we went around discussing if robots or humans would be better at some jobs. However most of the jobs we found out only robots could take it to its full extent and do a better job at working then humans. The few jobs that we decided humans would be better at were jobs that solely focused on creativity and human understanding rather then skill. Its scary to think something we could create could be better at us with everything we've programmed it to have.

  • We had several debates about differnet jobs and if an AI robot could do the job better than an human and I discovered a pattern in the argumentation for the human. Of course Ai is quicker and often more detailled than humans, but AI has a few major flaws. If we talk about education, then AI is definetly able to sum information up much faster than a human, but one of the most important aspects of the teachers job is the ability to work with the students. See what type of person they are, spot their flaws and work on them to ensure them a safe future. AI can never be able to obtain the ability to understand humans like humans. That is one of the points that makes us humans special, we can understand ourselve, see the perspective of the other and work with it.
Ai is a useful tool, but can never replace humans, it should never be seen as a replacement but as an addition, a help, we created for us.

  • Today we had many different discussions in class, which included the fascinating Topic of Al. Firstly, we had to choose jobs we wanted to do in the future and make a mind map with the help of our classmates’ ideas. In the following, we saw what a big impact Al makes on the world and what impact it will have in the near future. Then, we started talking to a classmate about who would fulfil a job more effectively, a robot or a human. In the end we finally came to the conclusion that if they both worked together, you could have the near endless information from the AI and at the same time the empathy and feelings of a human being. For example, Al could automate repetitive tasks, allowing humans to focus on more complex and creative tasks. Overall, Al has the potential to help the world in an efficient way and even help in the educational sector, by supporting and teaching students in their studies when they don’t understand or can not keep up with the teacher.

  • The discussions we had in our classrooms were about how AI is changing how we work by having machines do boring tasks, so we can focus on more interesting things. This might make us work faster and create new jobs we haven't even thought about yet. We'll need to keep learning new things to stay good at our jobs. In education, smart tools can make learning fit our style and speed, making it easier for everyone to learn. Teachers can spend more time teaching because machines can handle grading and boring tasks. Learning online means we can study from anywhere, like having a school in our pocket! Smart tools can help us figure out what skills we need for the jobs we want and even help us learn those skills. Learning might also become more fun with cool technologies like virtual reality and augmented reality. While these changes are exciting, we also need to think about what's fair and right when using smart technology. It's important to be ready to learn new things and consider how we use these tools in a good way.

  • In my class we talked about AI. Mostly about how it would be to have AI instead of teachers or just AI leading the class. Someone said that they think that wouldn't work because no on would respect it enough anr just the classical set up of sitting in a classroom would result in chaos and everyone doing what ever they want to do. I think that's really interesting because for me too it's difficult to imagine how AI would handel for example an elementary class. I could imagine students trying to find ways to trick the robot for example that might be standing Infront of the class.

  • In my opinion with classroom lessons i had learn that AI is not that bad as people said because will create some jobs
and help in other ones that are more complicated, also classes will be more fun and will help in doing the homework.
But we will need to controled it because some children had being doing bad things with AI and as it become more powerful more problem would be done.

  • In my class, we were discussing whether or not AI is a good thing for jobs. Some people in my class said no, and some said yes. The people that said yes were saying that "AI may take over, but there are some jobs AI can't do, such as acting. AI doesn't have human feelings like us, meanwhile for us we have real emotions and can show it more clearly." which i totally agree on. As for the people that said no. "I agree but what if people can find a way to make AI show emotions." which i agree on too. Also one of my classmates said "AI would be good for war, as then people don't have to die." Which i think is a really good argument so in my opinion i reckon AI is good and bad for jobs and work later in life.

  • Today, in my class, we discussed that what would we do if AI took over the hub. If AI would take over the hub, there wouldn't be stars. Since robots have no emotions, they wouldn't be able to reply to our comments for feedback. Human characteristics differ from us machines.
