  • hey! I am from India and the letter which best describes my country is A. In India I have observed that people have started to take climate change seriously, people take steps like planting trees, reducing energy consumption water harvesting and conservation and also saving and using renewable energy. Several places have used solar powered panels as well. Indians have taken into account the climate change and have been very precautious about it.

    1. I totally agree with nice_ferret's sentiment. It's amazing to see how people and communities in India are taking proactive steps to combat climate change. They're doing so much to promote sustainability, like planting trees, conserving energy, harvesting water, and adopting renewable energy sources like solar power. It's inspiring to see their unwavering commitment to protecting the planet for ourselves and future generations. These aren't just symbolic gestures, either; they're real, tangible actions that are helping to mitigate the effects of climate change and build a more sustainable future for us all. By recognizing the vital connection between environmental, social, and economic well-being, Indians are showing us how we can all work together to tackle one of the biggest challenges of our time. Their dedication, ingenuity, and resolve are truly amazing, and I think we can all learn a lot from their example.

    2. As an Indian, I totally agree with you @nice_ferret. It's true that Indians have been striving hard to mitigate climate change . The government is also working towards it. The government of India has started various schemes for the same too. One of them is National Action Plan for Climate Change (NAPCC) that aims at fulfilling India's developmental objectives with focus on reducing emission intensity of its economy. Solar Panels have been installed in many villages in India. In Rajasthan and Gujarat, The use of Solar panels in the states was 53% and 14%, respectively, of installations as of June 2022. As of November 30, 2022, the country had 61.97 gigawatts (GW) of installed solar capacity.
Another initiative by India was that In August 2022, India updated its NDC according to which India has an enhanced target to reduce emissions intensity of its GDP by 45 percent by 2030 from 2005 level, achieve about 50 percent cumulative electric power installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030.
      Thank You.

  • I would say A. I say this because some people in my country do use solar panels for their homes or businesses. There are also lots of windmills in different parts of the country, I see them a lot on road trips. I would also say that we have some characteristics from D with extreme weather patterns because we have been having a lot of rain lately and it's been very cold.

    1. I totally agree with plucky_piccolo's comment. It's awesome to hear that your country is adopting renewable energy sources like solar panels and windmills. This shows that you're taking a proactive approach to combatting climate change, which is fantastic. I also think it's interesting to note the extreme weather patterns you've been observing, such as increased rainfall and colder temperatures. This highlights the importance of both mitigation and adaptation strategies in addressing the challenges posed by climate change.

  • I personally think my country is a mix of all of them. Climate change is making weather everywhere more extreme, which is affecting sea levels, growing crops and much more. I think B, C and D really illustrate this and the effects of it. However A and E shows what we are doing to help. Slowly and surely the government is trying to make a difference, like manufacturing electric cars and recycling efficiently. Our world is being destroyed by our human actions, but once we all work together, we can fight against it.

    1. Hey there! I totally agree with healthy_snow's thoughts! It's really important to understand the different aspects of climate change and how it affects us. There are several measures being taken to address this issue, and it's great to see that options A and E showcase the positive steps being taken towards mitigating and adapting to climate change. At the same time, options B, C, and D highlight the complexity of the issue. It's crucial that we all work together to combat the challenges posed by climate change. Collaborative efforts, such as government initiatives promoting the use of electric cars and efficient recycling, are essential in achieving a more sustainable future for our planet. But the factor of electric car will not work now because the most of the electricity that we use to power our electric car is also generated from coal which leads to pollution but in future it is the most powerful tool .Let's all work together towards a greener and healthier tomorrow!

    2. I agree because... lots of people try and help as illistrated in a and e but most people dont switch to elecrtic as the cost is quite high but i dont think england is d or c as i think its not that bad I pesonaly think is mainly a and b as its not too bad buts its not to good

  • Hello everyone,
I want to share that our country is also effected with climate change no doubt but there is also some progress can be seen. Like mostly people are preferring solar panels installation rather than electricity, grow plants even school levels too. Some schools established nurseries and to send plants to other schools to promote plantation. Our school also took the initiative that each student would plant a tree with their name in school and some students participated too.

  • Hi everyone, I am from Nepal and I have chose the letter C. In recent years, Nepal has been suffering from soil erosion, land slides, floods, droughts and the rest. In Nepal, People are not taking climate change seriously and not taking some precautions about it which increased violence and impacted on their lives. Some countries and some organization like scout and red cross society are helping Nepal by donating Food, Clothes, money and a place to live. I hope that Nepal will be like Option A in future years otherwise the climate change and weather will disguise itself into a disastrous form.

    1. I agree with your stance because in America, we have recently been facing stressful events because of our lack of recognizing our issues. For Instance, one state in our country, Georgia, used to have snow daily. But now, Georgia hasn't snowed since 2017-2016, which should be alarming. I also agree with you that I hope our country can be like A in the near future.

  • In my personal opinion I think its B because I haven't heard anything in the news myself about us doing something to decrease climate change rather its getting worse because if you drive around you see alot of people instead of taking garbage to a local dump they burn it and they cant be blamed entirely because the trucks don't come often so I think that we as a country need to come together and stop climate change.

Additionally, We shouldn't just focus on the capital of the country we should go all round into every region and we shouldn't just focus on ourselves we should also talk to other countries, start programs with them, encourage the youth to do something about and also encourage the adults themselves because what the adults do is what the youth will grow up with and if the adults themselves don't do it then why would the youth be inspired to do it

In conclusion I think we need to come together or else nothing will happen.

    1. I believe the answer is B. This is because, in Ghana, we do not take enough precautions in disposing of our waste. We tend to throw it in the sea, on the ground, or burn it. Some people even make excuses like the garbage trucks are not coming, as Centred_ Lynx pointed out."

"I also agree with Centred_Lynx because our capital is not the only place that travellers visit. Focusing only on the capital may not be the best idea as we should consider how citizens in other regions will react to this. It is important to think about the whole country as visitors often explore different regions and see if there's a way to improve moreover if they see that only one part is flourishing while others are not, it may have a negative impact."

People living in remote areas will certainly develop eco-anxiety, causing them to worry about what will become of them, but we can prevent it by taking powerful measures to protect our planet and spreading awareness on social media. It's critical to stay informed, take immediate action, and join hands to save the planet. Let's be proactive and resolute in our efforts to protect our home.

    2. I agree with you centered_lynx, the reason being is that since the garbage trucks don't often come for these citizen's garbage, they have no choice but to burn it, because how long will they keep piling garbage in their house?
Moreover, you are right about going to different countries and different regions in the country to encourage them to stop climate change. This is because if we do it in all the regions, we can bring everybody together to create a safe country, and if we involve other countries, we might encourage people who have no hope of us having a safe country back. We can all join hands to create a happy and safe world, where we all can live peacefully.

    3. Under the circumstances in Greece, i believe that the letter D matches our country the most. First of all we suffer from a lot of earthquakes and many buildings are being destroyed. Something i want to add is that Greece also suffers from a lot of heatwaves in general, which results in crops being damaged. However,i would like to add that i think that all of the other pictures also apply to our country. For instance, in picture C we can see people trying to protect themselves from fires and in Greece during the summer fires are very common.

      1. You are right. There is a combination of some of these pictures B,C,D. In general in our country we suffer from the consequences of climate change. There has been an increase on heatwaves in summer, constant rainfall that result in flooding and an increase in temperature. As it is estimated by 2050 we will have more frequent heatwaves and that mean drought.
We can understand that drought will effect farmlands and it will be destoy their farms.

    4. I agree because this is our planet and in order to live a happy life, we have to take care of it to live properly in order to promote good living and maintain a good hygiene. If we do not take care of our environment, we could contact all sorts of diseases and viruses, there by crumbling our society. We should try to take care of our society in order to further promote good and healthy living.

      1. I agree because... We human beings depend on our environment on various kinds of things for instance; food, clothing, income gain, and many other things for survival. If we do not protect our society from danger, we may not have easy access to our natural endowments, due to some natural disasters for example earthquakes. We are to focus on protecting our society from destruction, so that living in it will be much easier.

    5. I agree because no matter who we are, or where we come from, at least we should contribute even if it is a little to develop our society, if we do not keep our environments clean we can damage the health of other people as well as ourselves. So we should try our possible best to contribute to the growth of our society.

    6. I agree because... I haven't seen much news of people doing anything to stop climate change besides California trying to make electric cars mainstream. But honestly, I think that there isn't much we can do because we've adapted to the way we live for so long, it's nearly impossible to change; it's not our fault. The younger generations have been taught that they've been able to change things when they get older with hard work. But we weren't told it costs lots of money to improve climate change.

      1. You said here that there's a lot you didn't know. Is there anything else specifically that you'd like to find out about these things?

        1. I'd like to know more about how electric cars are produced and how they actually help the environment, because I feel that all we hear about is how the companies are making products that "help" the environment, yet I never hear about what they actually do. And I also feel that the issue of climate change has been pushed back for more recent news, like AI.

    7. I agree because in order for us to experience happy living, we have to take care of our environment in order to achieve that. We are being tasked with the responsibility of keeping our society clean to promote good health and good living. So far we have received different reminders on the need to take care of our society. Some of us have obeyed the instructions and catered for our community, while most of us have been completely ignorant on the reminders. The reminders that we receive about climate change are not given to us to state at it, they are given to us to inspire and encourage us to maintain a good hygiene, thereby promoting healthy living and protecting our society.

      1. why most all people take place in cleaning our society? isn't it better to appoint some people to represent other people in cleaning society? or people should be paid so that they can obey?
        THANK YOU.

        1. I disagree because... If only a selected set of people clean the society, it wouldn't be fair. Some people may not know how to clean properly, and this could lead to a negative impact on our environment. If everyone doesn't clean, the society will become worse. moreover, if people are paid for cleaning, they may start demanding more money, which could lead to greed and corruption all over again.
          Thank you👍🏻.

        2. I disagree with you, thoughtful_headghog. I believe that everyone should participate in community cleanups efforts because they will benefit the community in the following ways:
          - It won't require much time.
          - it will benefit those who engage in it daily.
          - it will promote contentment.
          - It will encourage good hygiene among neighbors.
These are a few advantages of communal cleanups. In some states in Nigeria we have the monthly environmental sanitation program where people are expected to clean up the environment, every last Saturday of the month. Leaving cleaning to just a few people will make them tired and they can lose interest. However, if it's a paid service they will have some payment that can kep them going.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
          Thank you 👏.

          1. I disagree with creative_personality because not everybody can easily help clean up their environment, especially:
            1. People who are ill.
            2. People who are sick.
            3. People who may not know much about the environment or how to help.
These individuals might face challenges or limitations that make it harder for them to take action. So, while it's important for everyone to do their part, we should also recognize that some people might need extra support or accommodations to participate.

    8. I agree because...In this life, we human beings depend on all sorts of natural resources for example gold for proper living. In order to still have access to our natural endowments, we have to take care of our environment. Nowadays, we have been getting reminders about the negative effects of climate change for example global warming, earthquakes, flooding, and many more. It is because of our reckless behaviors that innocent people lose their houses and homes. No matter our position or our state (situation), we should contribute, even if it is a little, in order to promote peaceful living amongst ourselves

    9. I agree. Not many people pay attention to what is happening to the environment and it's really only causing more damage. Sometimes, my neighbors start burning trash because the garbage truck only comes by between a few weeks or even a month. Trash companies should really improve their service in different areas..

    10. I agree. If the government is only focusing on one place and garbage companies aren't going around as often, it is only causing harm to the environment...Sometimes, my neighbors start burning trash and it is very common here because of the garbage truck that doesn't come around as often as it should. I believe we should focus more on getting garbage companies and the government to expand more will definitely help make the country a better place.

    11. I agree to centered_lynx.It's commendable that you're passionate about addressing climate change. Taking collective action at both local and international levels is crucial. Encouraging collaboration among nations and involving people of all ages is key to making meaningful progress. Your insight highlights the importance of addressing the issue comprehensively and inclusively.

    12. You are right centered lynx,
As humans we are meant to take care of our planet earth because it is the only place we have to live in. But some of us cause more harm than good to the environment. We should try our best to make the earth a more safe and secure place for us to live in.

    13. I agree because... I believe that Ghana needs to come together to address climate change, as there is a lack of news about efforts to reduce it. I suggest that instead of focusing solely on the capital, Ghana should consider the impact of waste disposal on other regions and countries. The importance of considering the impact of tourism on different regions and the potential negative impact on the environment essential. The need to take action and spread awareness on social media to prevent eco-anxiety in remote areas is vital. I believe that by involving other countries and regions in promoting climate change, Ghana can create a safer and more peaceful world. I conclude by emphasizing the need for proactive efforts to protect the environment and encourage the youth to take action.

      1. You have spoken very well about the conditions of climate news and action in your country, it is certainly very interesting to hear about the discrepancy between the capital and more remote regions. Do you think and increase in tourism would be good or bad for your community?

  • I really wish I could choose only one but I can't. It is a mix of all these pictures. First of all let's start with picture E. I would definitely say that this ideal representation does not suit my country. Electric cars and so much green. Unfortunately the last 3 years the news at my country is extremely concerning. At summer so many fires in the forests and extremely hot temperatures, at autumn flooding in many parts of our country. People seem confused but also angry as picture D indicates and try to save their homes, lands, properties as picture C indicates. However I want to be a little optimistic and commend that at times I can see some action taken as in picture A, solar panels are put and there is an effort to plant trees.
All in all I should say that yes there are so many environmental problems but on there hand people are starting to take action.

    1. You're right. There is a mix of effect of climate change in my country. Unfortunately nature alarms us and we can see the harmful consequences of climate change. We have floodings, forest fires and in summer a high increase of temperature that affects severely especially the big cities in land. But on the other hand, I think that the government tries to find resolutions to these problems by imposing severe fines like using too much water, energy.

    2. As a person living in the same country as you i can confirm what you are saying. Last year was a year full of disasters like forest fires and big floodings all around the country. I think that the bad use of the environment is coming back to as... Is time for the Greek people to start taking action. By reducing the pollution on the environment i think that we are going to see some big changes in just some days.

    3. It sounds like your country is facing significant environmental challenges, including forest fires, flooding, and extreme temperatures. It's encouraging to hear that there are efforts being made to address these issues, such as the installation of solar panels and tree planting initiatives shown in picture A. It's important to remain optimistic and continue advocating for positive change, even in the face of adversity.

  • In my opinion think the option i pick is option B.
Because climate change in my country is rising very slow and there are constant change in weathers, and i don't hear much news about climate change in my country so i really don't know how climate change is now but now climate change has reduced now beacuse people are driving bycicles more than motorcycles and that has reduced our conjestion and gasses on the road. and now a days people prefer taking pubic transport more than thier own cars beacuse the cost of fuel has increased drastically. and now whith that we are trying to reduce our congestion by building windmills, solar panels e.t.c. and now if we try our best and come together a i sure we will succeed.
    Thank you.

    1. I agree because our reaction to climate change in Nigeria was not so heart pleasing because many people thought that Nigeria was not being affected by climate change until last year, where there was a slight weather change with the country becoming hotter, and ever since then the reaction to climate change has greatly improved, because people are now trying to use clean and renewable sources of energy, which is helping our country. But this is also a warning to everyone that if we are not taking the issue of climate seriously, we will regret it so this option B is also like a warning picture that climate change is affecting everywhere across the globe, and we should take our reaction to climate change seriously.
      THANK YOU!!!

    2. I agree, because in Nigeria efforts to combat climate change are gradually making a difference due to various initiatives. I am optimistic that continued changes will contribute to achieving a more balanced and sustainable environment.

    3. I disagree because... is not all people use public transport or solar panels, many people use their cars and bikes. And also some people practice bush burning or deforestation. So there will be much lot of heat

      THANK YOU

      1. I agree because... Nigerian people are not very interested about climate change and also 95% of Nigeria's population use solar panels and 65% of it's population use their own cars and bikes. Also, people practice deforestation and burn fossil fuels. so i think it's question B. Thank you.

  • It's a complex issue, and changing behavior can be challenging for various reasons. Some people may not fully understand the urgency or impact of their actions, while others might feel overwhelmed or unsure about how to make a meaningful difference. As for me, I try to make environmentally conscious choices, but there's always room for improvement. Education, awareness campaigns, and accessible alternatives can motivate people to do more. What are your thoughts on this? 😊🌍

    1. Thank you for sharing your ideas - I think that if each one of us, just like you, try to make environmentally healthy choices, it is already a big step in the right direction. Could you please give me a few examples of the conscious choices that you make on a daily basis?

  • I choose C because, every year Ghana produces 1.7 tons f rubbish every yearly ,because of the large amount of waste, Ghanaians have no choice but to burn their waste. People cut an burn trees to create room for their farms and to build more factories and houses. Fumes from old cars and plastics factories are affecting the air we breathe and increasing carbon emissions. Because of this Ghana is experiencing extreme heat , crops and animals are dying due to the extreme heat and decrease of food. Waterbodies are dried up making hard for farmers to water their crops. Because of this food prices and water bills have gone extremely high. Due to drying up of waterbodies fishing has become major problems for small villages that live near these waterbodies.
But I believe there is a way we can prove our countries' crisis, instead of cutting down trees people can more plants, for examples in listening to a documentary I heard that mangrooves are able to store carbon in their roots which can enrich the soil. WE can recycle waste such plastic and papers instead of burning. Car using diesel and petrol must be banned , instead bicycles will be very effective for the environment.

    1. I agree with the answer being C because, in the United States of America and more continents like Asia they produce many products for example: hair spray, toys, and more, so there will be lots of factory and because of that there will be a lot of pollution that damages Earth it will also decrease Earth's lifespan, so lots of pollution will decrease Earth's lifespan to much and it could kill Earth. In the picture the pollution is making the Earth's surface hot that is effecting our climate and when that happens the leaves of trees will burn and the trees on earth is our source of oxygen and without the trees every human on Earth would die and that is why I think the answer is C.

  • In my opinion, I think that the letter that suits my country currently is C. The reason being is that most of the time when we are in the months that the weather is supposed to be cool and cold, the weather suddenly becomes exceedingly hot.
Last year December, I went out with my family, I remember clearly that it was very cold and cool in the morning, however, when it was around 11pm, the weather suddenly become hot, and this sudden change of weather happened not once or twice.
In my opinion, I think the reason for this sudden change of weather is because most of the citizens of my country have sent a blind eye to the impact their actions have.

  • Hello everyone.
Currently climate change is a big problem in our country. Climate change has increased due to the development of more industries, increased traffic, deforestation, use of greenhouse gases, use of pesticides on agricultural land, etc. This is causing a lot of damage to our country. For example: melting glaciers, frequent earthquakes, droughts, changing seasons etc. I think, if these problems are to be solved, then more industries should be built, vehicular traffic will increase, deforestation, use of green house gas, use of pesticides on agricultural land will have to be reduced.
    Thanks all .

  • In my opinion I think that Egypt is represented by both B and C as Egypt is affected by the climate change in different ways but the most important two are : 1) Extreme temperatures And 2) Elevated sea levels and coastal flooding.

    1) Extreme temperatures ( C )
Recently in Egypt the weather is colder than the usual in winter and in summer the weather is extremely hot . The climate change in Egypt will lead to heightened temperatures , unpredictable rainfalls and huge increases in heat waves . Egypt is already facing these issues and it is said that Egypt’s average annual temperature may rise by 2.1 degree Celsius by the middle of the century.

    2) Elevated sea levels and coastal flooding. ( B )
Egypt is highly vulnerable to climate change and the impacts of the climate change are already being felt. Egypt’s Mediterranean shoreline is already at severe risk of flooding . Between the year 1993 and the year 2010 the sea levels in the Mediterranean rose by 2.6 cm per decade , so by the close of the century they may rise by 22 centimeters. As a result coastal communities on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast are dangerously exposed to climate change.

All in all , l think that the consequences will be severe , very painful and harmful, so huge steps and actions must be taken to solve the issues.

    1. Your analysis of Egypt's vulnerability to climate change is really insightful. It's clear that both extreme temperatures and rising sea levels pose significant challenges to Egypt's environment and communities, as you've pointed out. The impacts you've highlighted, from unpredictable weather patterns to coastal flooding, really underscore the urgency for action to mitigate these consequences. Your call for substantial steps and actions to address these issues is well-founded and really emphasizes the importance of taking proactive measures to address the impacts of climate change in Egypt. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  • in my opinion I think that option (c) best describes the climate that my country is currently facing i have not seen any news about people trying to reduce the amount of the climate change after seeing the effects of climate change but each day it just keeps getting worse i think that an additional cause is because the garbage truck operators aren't paid enough so people just burn their trash instead of disposing their garbage properly but that alone isn't the only reason there are other states that dispose their garbage in other ways that do not benefit our society.
climate change is a responsibility that has been left for the youth of our country but this is not for them alone our current actions can affect our future and society but when every one comes together for the cause we all can affect our society in a positive way.

    1. Knowledgeable message
I agree because... I also have not seen news that anybody is trying to reduce the climate change and another cause is because the factories in Nigeria here do not have enough facilities to give proper treatment to factory wastes, also they don't power the factory with renewable energy, the law enforcement agencies still takes bribes from them. I think these are some reasons why the climate is being affected everyday.

      1. I agree because...
Nigeria factories do not use too much engines that releases smoke to the, and if there is our law enforcement agencies will deal the factory and they come to their office to settle and also agree not to do such anymore.

      2. Yes I do agree there is no news about people trying to help save the planet yes it is true Nigeria does not have good factories to properly dispose of our waste. In Nigeria renewable energy doesn't seem important so the law enforcement is easily paid.

  • I believe that its quite difficult to choose one of all those pictures;
Since, India's current condition is most accurately depicted in picture B, showcasing the rising sea levels and irregular rainfall, which pose a present peril for my country. This vulnerability is evident from the frequent occurrence of events like floods, cyclones, and droughts. In Kerala, situated on the southern tip of the country, floods frequently inundate farmlands, and fishermen from as far as Mumbai struggle to catch fish due to cyclones. With 75% of households in India relying on agriculture, they are facing challenges with lower yields owing to frequent droughts and reduced rainfall. While the central belt of India experiences a decrease in annual rainfall, the Lakshadweep Islands are threatened by rising sea levels, leading to a loss of biodiversity, including a decrease in their reefs.
However, India's efforts to combat climate change are conveyed in picture E. The government's domestic policies on climate and environmental action include protecting regional glaciers, greening the railway system, reducing single-use plastic, and promoting the production of clean cooking fuel. The government, along with several cooperatives, is proactively promoting the use of electric vehicles. Between October 2022 and September 2023, electric vehicles accounted for 5% of total vehicle sales, with projections indicating a potential increase to over 40% by 2030.

In conclusion, while the climate crisis is worsening with each passing moment with united efforts by government we may successfully achieve the utopic world depicted in picture E.

    1. You have used some statistics to support your points - which sources did you use?

      1. Hey Alicia, thank you for your question. The statistics mentioned are mostly taken from the government of India's webpage - Niti Ayog, the online article by Nature newspaper on climate disasters and by the London School of Economics and Political Science. As for the numbers regarding the growth of electric vehicles, they are taken from the page of Bain and Company.

  • I choose option B because we have recently faced a flood in Chennai, which caused a lot of damage to houses and other things. It took us a week to recover from this disaster. In 2015, we faced a more powerful flood, and it took us around two to three weeks to recover from that. Unfortunately, we have faced many floods here in the past. Despite this, we are actively working to protect our country from such disasters. We have many organizations, such as the EFI organization, that are doing great things for our environment. Additionally, our school has taken many initiatives to protect our environment. In conclusion, I firmly believe that we are responsible for creating environmental problems, and we have the power to protect our environment as well.

  • As soon as I saw the images, I knew that India had to be chosen as option A!

The image itself is the entire explanation.
As I looked at it, I noticed small details such as the girl planting the tree, which reminded me of Chami Murma, a 52-year-old woman who is an environmental activist. She has mobilized hundreds of women from her area and planted trees in over 500 villages. After 36 years of effort and planting over 28,000 trees, Chami Murma has been selected as Padma Shri from Jharkhand!

The Solar Panels remind me of the recent news where the Government of India launched the "Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana" with the aim of installing 1 crore rooftop solar on houses. This scheme will not only help reduce electricity bills for the poor and middle class, but also help India achieve its objective of self-reliance in the power sector.

  • My preference "is option B" I'm from a city named Chennai, in the southern part of India. Also, an active student of this younger generation extended my support through www.indianenvironment.org (EFI) and Young Indians (YI) awareness projects supported by our school on Climate Change.
One incident that I could recollect, was last year we had an impact of Climate Change that caused severe floods resulting in a shortage of electricity, food, and other basic needs, during the period of heavy rainfall on December 04, 2023. The flood was named "Cyclone Michaung" The storm caused at least 17 fatalities and more than 32,000 people were evacuated and temporarily relocated, over 500 personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Tamil Nadu Disaster Response Force (TNDRF) were deployed. Joining with my family members, we helped our neighbors who needed basic needs like milk, water, and bread packets, who were unable to come out of their residences due to high water stagnation in our area. Additionally, the vehicles (cars and scooters) got drowned in water which affected our routine life and we spent heavy expenses in getting them back to working condition. I'm happy to contribute by joining the awareness program through my school and do my best to keep my Chennai people aware of Climate change and its impact.

  • From my personal everyday experience, Letter B is a perfect description of what a country looks like, and I feel it looks like that due to negligence and some other factors I'll explain. Many schools and civilians in many countries are aware of how some of their everyday habits affect the climate, but some seem negligent about it, and others just don't adhere to them because it doesn't fit their lifestyles. My country also resembles Letter B due to
    1. Industrial Activities:
In places where lots of factories and industries are buzzing, the air and water can get pretty dirty. All those factories release stuff that's not great for the environment, and most of them are aware yet lack other profitable means to carry on with their work.
    2. Lack of Environmental Regulations:
Some countries, like mine, don't have strict rules about taking care of the environment. One country I adore is Singapore, and for this reason. Their measures for taking care of their country are just superb. That means companies might be doing things that aren't good for nature, and no one's stopping them. And Lastly
    3. Population Density:
In spots where a lot of people live close together, there can be more pollution. It's tricky to manage waste and pollution when there are so many people in one place. For instance, the ghettos or suburbs in areas like these need to be educated on how to dispose of their waste and keep their surroundings clean. Thats why my school want to embark on an excursion to the ghettos to provide them with some provisions to help them dispose and recycle their waste better and educate them to our best capacity

  • I agree with picture B because in Ghana we are victims of climate change. We see protests of climate change, yet fellow Ghanaians do not pay heed to this vital information instead you would see people cooking using wood and charcoal, open waste burning, surface mining, and pollution due to the absence of waste treatment. Mining is the main cause of climate change in Ghana. 'Galamsey' ' which means gather them and sell' is due to how disrupting the Economy is if there were Jobs the youth wouldn't have to engage in such disturbing acts and there would be lower percentages of greenhouse emissions nationwide

  • I personally think that my country is picture C. The reason why I think this is because of the extreme weather changes we have been experiencing. The week before last week we couldn't come to school because it was extremely cold. Last week, it felt warm and a little windy outside, along with some rain when it was the weekend. But now, it's no longer warm and it's just cold like the week before last week. And because of these reasons, I believe that C is closest to explain what my country is doing currently.

  • In the United States I feel there is a mix of picture A and D because we have drought, severe weather and there are a lot of trees being cut down in certain areas. Like in picture A around the country people are using solar panels and trying to do better with helping the earth. Where I'm from when I drive past other peoples homes I see my neighbors contributing to the earth by planting plants, being responsible about their trash and waste, and trying to make the community and neighborhood a better place.

  • In my opinion I think letter C. I think letter C is best for my country because in the news it talks about our country having a Snowpocalypse in Atlanta, and the winter storm bringing the metro area to a complete halt. This winter storm also changed the way many people in Georgia look at the winter weather. Also children were forced to sleep in schools, because of the slush that froze on the roadways, which is trapping drivers from getting where they are supposed to be. Also, did you know that the air was so cold that the forecast models struggled to completely estimate correctly the type of wintery participation that was about to happen.

So I need all people from around the world to ask more questions about your country, to show that you care about this climate change that is going on in your country.

  • In my country we have a mix of most of these photos. First off the pictures A and E, these pictures both show people supporting the earth in two different ways. Most people in my country help our planet using picture E by using more electric or hybrid vehicles instead of gas. And in the picture A, people in neighborhoods in my country often have plants in front of their house. I also see people install solar panels on houses to use less electric power. Although people in my country using E most times may sound great our country is also like C. One of the things in c that is most seen in my country is wildfires. Unfortunately wildfires are starting to become more common. Another example from picture c is the raised temperature. In my country the summer is terrible because we always have heat waves. Last year there was a terrible heat wave down in the southern area of my country which started some of the fires. My final example from c is the factories. In my Home state of Michigan there are many factories causing terrible pollution and there have been many problems with clean water. My own grandmother has asthma because of the factories. This problems need to fixed if we want to save our planet.

  • I think it is B because, climate change in Ghana is affecting the economy, agriculture, energy, and forestry sectors due to changes in rainfall, weather conditions, and sea-level rise. Access to freshwater is expected to become more challenging, negatively impacting hydropower. Malaria and cholera are also expected to increase. The Jubilee offshore oil field may result in long-term gas flaring, causing 1.5 million tons of CO2 annually. Crop yields are expected to decrease by 2050, and fisheries production may decline, causing $200 million in imports annually. Ghana is developing a National Adaptation Plan to mitigate climate change impacts.

  • In my opinion I would have to go with C because, if you know the US, Alaska is the coldest state and has a temperature of 30.7 F° and glaciers are melting, and the Mississippi River had a drought in the early fall of 2023!
there was a massive storm that affected everywhere around America. All around the summer where I live the average temperature is 80 and 90 fahrenheit!

Last year, July 3, 2023 in the US, was the hottest day for all of america! The recorded temperature was 118, during that year Kansas and Nebraska had a drought, for these things are why, in my opinion, I chose C for my country.

  • In my country, it's a mix of D and A. Why I believe this way is because in picture D you can see a man looking at the earth worried and that is because he has Eco-Anxiety (Eco-Anxiety is when you get anxious about the planet getting destroyed.) from the news since there are people on the news spreading this information that the earth is getting ruined each day as you can see in the picture, for an example many people gained Eco-Anxiety and had to get psychologists for this illness. Why I believe why there is a mix of A because in the picture you can see a woman planting a tree which is contributing to planting a tree and in the background, you can see windmills and solar panels which help contribute to climate change. How solar panels help contribute by reducing greenhouse gas, gas emissions and mitigating climate change which helps by protecting humans and ecosystems. How a wind turbine helps by replacing electricity generated from other sources like fossil fuel power stations, and wind energy can lead to an overall reduction in carbon emissions.

  • Hi,
I believe that what is happening in Nigeria is option "B" which shows a man looking at disastrous things happening to the planet and doing nothing about it. I feel this is what is happening in Nigeria because most Nigerians have a care free attitude towards climate change which disturbs me. Sometimes we do things unconsciously, which negatively affect the climate but where we are wrong is when we do nothing to help the climate. A thing that happens in Nigeria that shows Nigerians doing things that negatively affects the climate and leaving it, is the use of fossil fuels. Most people know that the use of fossil fuels pollutes the environment because of the production of carbon dioxide but instead of trying to adapt to the use of renewable energy they decide to continue using the fossil fuels.

    Thank You.

    1. Thank you for sharing your ideas Jazzed - I think that it is already a step in the right direction the fact that you are able to distinct those actions which are not good for the environment. What are some simple actions do you think would help instil awareness around the negative effect of the use of fossil fuels on the environment?

  • I think that the image that has the best way of changing the bad climate is A because as we grow more plants and trees it makes the atmospheric layer conclusive for humans to breath in and breath out carbon dioxide so that plant can take in. But one of the major problem affecting the ozone layer is cutting down of trees it reduces the level of oxygen in the atmospheric layer( which is also called the ozone layer) a d that makes the heat rays of the Sun.

In conclusion I thick that the youth should do something to stop the damage of the climate change ( atmospheric layer).

    1. Hi 👋 brilliant_plantain,
I strongly agree with you because here in Nigeria, the ozone layer is really depleting because of the system of deforestation. And also, in addition the use of chlorofluorocarbons by scientists to make refrigerators also leads to the depletion of the ozone layer. And so, in conclusion I suggest that awareness should be made to stop the damage of the ozone layer. Thanks.

  • As for Egypt, i think the best choice is C. Because of the extreme weather we experience most time of the year, and due to no steps done to lessen the effect of climate change in my country. In most cities, streets are filled with cars and buses and other vehicles, which are all harmful to the environment and increasing the effect of climate change.
In the smaller cities of Egypt, land is filled with green due to growing crops and other farming purposes, but this is simply not enough.
Electric cars and much more plants should be introduced in Egypt and other countries so step by step we could decrease the effect of Climate change.

  • Sadly, my country is experiencing C and D. I wish that we could get to E ,but I feel like nobody is trying to stop climate change. Every time I try to speak out I am ignored. The following are problems that my country( United States) is currently facing :

    1. Extreme Heat and Cold:
During the summer of last year it was on the hottest years on record. This heat was very bad for agriculture and people's health. The heat would melt cars, trash cans, and even parts of homes. The cold was equally bad, cities would lose power for days to week. People were stuck in their homes with no heat and low on food. Crops died during the heat and the cold of my country.
    2. Hurricanes
Hurricanes would wipe out homes and buildings. Many lives were lost in Hurricanes like Hurricane Idalia. Hurricane Idalia at its peak was a Category 4 storm. People were left without power and no place to stay. Many fled and others decided to tough the storm out. The storms is in 2023 were the worst since 1950.
    3. Wildfires
Due to the extreme heat many wildfires started and were very hard to contain. The fire emitted toxic air pollutants. send a lot of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The smoke affected was and still are Children, pregnant women, and the elderly.

  • I think my country is experiencing section c. In my country the state I'm in is experiencing cold while if you're travelled towards the Northern area you notice it is very Hot.the main crisis that is going on the country is that we are loosing 3.7% of our forest in a year this is either caused by flooding or heat condition. If nothing gets done we might loose all our trees.

  • I think that point C is the most accurate one in my country because I live in Egypt which is Known for its warm weather but in the past few years many things changed now the weather is so hot in summer and also so cold in winter and that wasn't happening before and this is an impact of the climate changes and my country is trying so hard to increase the awareness of its citizens and also my school is trying, for example my school has hung banners on its walls about the climate changes to increase the awareness between the students and even the teachers

    1. I fully agree with that comment, and that’s coming from a person who lives in the same country and goes to the same school as fascinating_wilddog.
First let me start by assuring the weather change point; if we went back to the near past, we would find that Egypts weather almost didn’t change throughout the year besides Egypt has always been known for its hot weather during summer and mild weather during winter but things have changed completely this year, so the summer was boiling hot, higher humidity…, and the winter is freezing cold to the point where some people don’t want to leave their houses.
Second point is that not only has our school hung up banners and posters about that matter everywhere around the school but our English teachers specifically have been talking about global warming and climate change for a few years now .

  • I choose option C because here in Nigeria, we witness more hot weather as a result of the temperature of the sun. The temperature of the sun is always too high that it feels like the world is about to come to an end. Now we are entering the dry season, and lots of people are bothered about the season because the sun's temperature is always too high that it dries up all the water available thus, bringing about scarcity of water which makes people so dehydrated.

  • hello everyone,
Due to pollution of the environment, negative changes in the world take place one day. Similarly, it is not possible to make people aware in one day. It may take a few months or a few years. If you cut 10 or 20 trees a day, the environment will not change much, but the constant cutting of trees is the main cause of environmental pollution. In the past, people cut trees to build their homes, for food and fuel, but now people are cutting trees for urbanization. Not only are they doing various negative activities like illegally smuggling sand from trees or rivers. Lack of trees reduces water supply to the soil resulting in drought. Illegal dumping of river sand disrupts the normal flow of the river, and Due to the failure of the river, many areas along the banks of the river are submerged under water.

  • In my personal opinion I think it's A because I haven't listen anything anywhere about my country is doing some enormal activities against the earth or environment. My country is not opening big industries, nor doing forest fire, nor polluting any natural resource`

    1. I also agree with you because In our country , our enviromnent is fresh and healthy. Our country is not opening big factories or industries, only few industries are present. Nepal is rich in natural resources and green forest so our country is safe from this problem. People are not engaging in deforstation, forest fire and all. That's why I choose opinion A for my country.

  • In my personal opinion I think it's A because I haven't listen that we or our country is doing some enormal activities against the nature. We aren't planting more big industries, we aren't doing any activities that causes greenhouse effect, we aren't doing deforestation. We are making people's aware about it. We giving them proper education about that. We are not letting people's to do such activities than causes decrease or increase in climate change in our country. We are sending that garbage maintainers to people's home to manage garbages and wastes.

Additionally, we are slowly slowly importing electrical vehicles, we focusing towards the most populated cities and regions wheather they are making environment polluted or not, we arr planting more trees.

So in conclusion I want to say that all the countries in the world should come together to stop this problem.

  • From my perspective, I think It is B, and D. Unfortunately, in the recent years, the sea levels has been increasing significantly and this poses a great threat on the coastal cities. These cities are threatened by coastal erosion and they are expected to be drowned in few years. The government has made a lot of practices to decrease global warming and climate change effect in Egypt, these practices, for instance, are planting trees and using electric cars. However, civilians aren't aware of the problem and continue in their harmful practices( polluting the environment) which lessens the government's effort impacts. Egypt has also experienced a significant increase in temperature, this is because the harmful fossil fuel burning emissions from cars, and wastes from industries. So, our rule is to aware people of the hazard we are facing and its circumstances, to help the government in its efforts for decreasing the climate change effects.

  • I chose image A which depicts a country that is making a conscious effort to combat climate change by adopting renewable energy sources like solar power. India is one of the leading nations in the world that has been investing heavily in solar energy. The government has set an ambitious target of achieving 170 GW of solar energy by 2025. India's solar capacity has already reached around 73.32 GW, and the country is on track to achieve its target. This shift towards clean energy has not only helped India in reducing its carbon footprint but has also created numerous job opportunities.

In addition to embracing solar energy, India is also taking steps towards a more sustainable future by planting trees. The country has launched several afforestation programs to increase its forest cover. Recently, the government announced the launch of a new initiative called 'Catch the Rain' campaign, which aims to conserve rainwater and increase groundwater levels in the country. Such initiatives are crucial as they help in combating climate change and promoting sustainable development.

Overall, the image A reflects India's commitment towards building a greener and more sustainable future. The country is taking positive steps towards reducing its carbon footprint and promoting renewable energy sources. India's efforts in combating climate change are not only commendable but should also serve as an inspiration to other nations around the world.

  • I think the picture that represents India is A. India is country with a lot of diversity in its flora and fauna so it has to keep a check on a lot of its biodiversity . The picture shows a girl planting a tree which reminds me of the people of the country who plant a tree for every firecracker they burn on the festival of diwali. The solar panels remind me of how recently the delhi government launched a new policy fo install solar panels on the rooftops of our houses. The rain reminds me of the rain water harvesting done by people of Tamil Nadu where it is mandatory to do so. So almost all of the things in picture A, remind me of the initiatives taken in our country so I chose picture A.

  • I think it is option B. I say this because there have been rising sea levels in southern cities such as Lagos and other coastal areas, increasing vulnerability to flooding and waterborne disease. A lot of the Nigerian coast is low lying with the consequence that a 1 to 3 meters rise in sea level, which may result from eustatic or climate change, will have a catastrophic effect on the human activities in these regions. Furthermore, Lagos's low-lying topography exacerbates the vulnerability of many neighborhoods. Rising sea levels pose a significant risk to Lagos. Projections indicate that by 2100, sea levels could rise by over a meter, displacing millions of residents and businesses along the coast. This is just a piece of what is going on in the southern cities in Nigeria, especially Lagos.

  • In my country, I think its E because nowadays, people are buying electric vehicles instead of dieselic or petrolic vehicles because it is cheap also and it is eco-friendly too.Government is establishing charging points in different places which also proof that
our government also wants to change our country.People are also now involving in different afforestation programmes. Also they are doing different awareness programmes related to climate change and its effects. It is my point.
I hope you will correct my mistakes and give suggestions.

    1. Are electric cars cheap for everyone?

      1. Though this is the tough question but also I want to say that electric cars are more cheaper compared to petrolic and dieselic vehicles.Mainting cost is cheaper of electric vehicles than petrolic od dieselic vehicles.Money to buy petrol or diesel is also saved. Also, environment is also not polluted. So,I want to say that in compared to petrolic or dieselic vehicles, electric vehicles are really cheaper.I hope you understand my point.
        Thank You ?

        1. Thank you for answering!

      2. Not, they aren't. There are some parts of the world where electric cars are really, really scarce which makes them extremely expensive. The worst part is that these countries really need them and yet resources aren't enough to get them. Yet, if some of the resources put into oil and gas is directed towards production of electric cars, it will be very beneficial indeed for both the planet and the people.

        1. I concur with you. In my country, electric cars are seen as a luxury and not because of how much they cost. In 2022, the first electric car assembled by stallion group was made. Two tears later, less than 200 units have been sold. This is enough evidence to show that electric cars are not common. Most of the time, they don't even see the price as the problem. Their main concern is the maintenance. How are they going to charge it? Where are they going to get a power source that strong? These are the questions they ask themselves. The thing is they are absolutely right. There are no charging points for their cars if they choose to buy it. The cars will eventually run out of energy and just sit there because the owner can't find a conducive power supply. I believe that if the necessary facilities are provided to aid the use of electric cars then at least they will be put into consideration.

  • In my opinion, option B seems like the best fit for my country, although there might be a few challenges along the way. The reason I went with this option is because I've noticed a lot of people in my community switching to e-vehicles, and many big companies are also showing their support. While we still have a long way to go and some people are still sticking with traditional gas-powered vehicles, I'm hopeful that India will get there in a couple of years.

  • In my opinion option B and E are best for our country Nepal. In our country the waste materials are not being managed properly which has created lot of pollution in our country. Our country Nepal is rich in water resouces, we have many rivers for generating hydroelectricity but such resources are not being utilized properly. Our country Nepal has a capacity of generating 83,000 MW(Mega Watt). So, our country should focous on generating hydroelectricity which will also be helpful for running electric veichles whic will be helpful in controlling pollution. Our country should also focus on managing the waste resources and utilize them in a proper way.

  • My country would be best explained with picture A. In the picture, you can see a woman planting trees, which was a lot of fuss once in the U.S. In the news, there was a lot of talk about paper companies; and, how their man-made forests were causing habitat shifts, deforestation, and soil erosion from cutting down so many trees. The U.S is a big producer of wood and timber. So that is a lot of trees! There was a huge campaign on the popular site Youtube by a popular Youtuber (Mr. Beast) in 2019, where he would donate money to combat deforestation and plant trees, which is still going on today. That's what the lady planting trees reminds me of.

The solar panels in the picture remind me of the recent push for more Americans to use solar power to cut down on fossil fuels which contributes to global warming. According to the Department of Energy, the U.S had nearly 3.9 million solar panel systems installed in residences. I know a lot of people getting solar panels, and on the news I see solar panels continuing to be a growing market all over the country.

The wind turbines on the top of the Earth remind me of how in my country, as of recent years, a lot of big companies are trying to cut out fossil fuels and opt for wind turbines to produce energy. It became a big story when Elon Musk (the owner of Tesla), mentioned in 2022 to news outlets that wind energy is the future of our country. He also mentioned that wind energy had a lot of untapped potential, which I agree with. The USGS (United States Geographical Survey), reported that there are more than 57,000 wind turbines across the nation! So that picture reminded me of the growing use of wind energy.

  • I think that E is the best one to pick it's a safe world in E.A looks good but it's using more energy and the only thing that e is using is fuel and fuel is not electric so its not using gas and others are clearly bad B is to plain and desarty and D has a meteor at it's planet. And C is way to hot and it's nueclear.

  • Today the topic climate change has become a global topic that is commonly seen in global, national or even local news. Many countries are giving a lot of efforts in fixing this problem. My country is also trying it's best to give a little contribution and help to fix it .In my personal opinion, in Nepal it is more like A as Nepal is already not facing that much climate change and most people believe that even in the future Nepal will not face that much climate change as many people are aware and are willing to fix it.This thing is taken more seriously especially by students as they have been well educated about climate change, it's effects and how to make it fixed. Nowadays,Nepal is focusing more on reducing uses of non - renewable resources and reducing usage of plastic. In Nepal, keeping our environment clean and well balanced is taken as a basic skill of discipline ,so many kids (the future of the nation) already have learned to make the surrounding better. Our government has also conducted many awareness programs and has pledged to net zero emissions.
    Thank you

  • Choosing one picture doesn’t feel right, when India is depicted in almost all pictures above.

Picture A depicts India’s drive for a sustainable future. More individuals are actively participating, contributing to a positive global impact. Additionally, India's renewable electricity is growing faster than any other major economy.

Picture B reflects the vulnerability of India to floods and other such calamities. Out of the total geographical area of 329 million hectares more than 40 million hectares is flood prone.

Picture C accurately captures the destructive reality of global warming. India has faced heatwave and recorded maximum temperature in various states and cities over the last year.

Picture D for me portrays the state of alarm caused to a person due to eco-anxiety.

Picture E is the perfect representation of the vision of India to make the country a developed nation by 2047, with a major focus on the shift towards electric vehicles.

  • My mind is split between A and B. On the basis of the current situation, or the steps taken by the Government, the answer can differ.
If we take the current situation of India, on an average it can be stated to as B

  • My mind is split between A and B. On the basis of the current situation, or the steps taken by the Government, the answer can differ.
If we take the current situation of India, on an average it can be stated to as B.
But if we talk about the steps taken by the Indian Government to overcome climate change I would proudly say that figure A is relatable.
I really applaud the efforts we have put, are putting and will continue to put even in the future towards a clean and green India with freshh air and pollution free environment that we all hope to see one day. One or the other way, this is a huge step towards becoming a developed country because in today's times climate change is the most horrible thing that the whole world is facing and trying to overcome it with such great results is a big deal.
India has developed its policy response through missions and programmes to reduce its climate vulnerability. On 30th June 2008, the National Action Plan on Climate Change was released. It was a national strategy of several sub-missions to help adapt and magnify ecological sustainability in India's development path.
Not just this but the Government also took it into their hands to clean the major rivers of India and so far we have seen a lot of change.
Efforts are being made to switch to renewable resources and reduce plastic and other non biodegradable resources.
Another project which has been one of the greatest success is the, 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', which was a project to make a clean and green India.
The thing that made it a success was probably spreading awareness. People took it upon themselves to clean their cities. They did their part by not throwing garbage here and there and separating wet and dry wastes. I can personally relate to this because I come from Indore, the cleanest city of India 7 times in a row, which could not have been possible without the support of the people, municipality, government and most importantly the cleaners and workers who cleaned the roads every day.

  • In my opinion, Letter B resembles my country "Ghana",I don't really hear news about climate change in Ghana but as you drive on our streets instead of people recycling waste and re-using them, they dump them into gutters which gives us a higher rate of flood,In my country there are lots of changes in rainfall, our weather conditions and sea-levels are rising up. Honestly I believe Ghanaians should come together and stop climate change because it's getting out of hand.
I personally think we shouldn't just focus on ourselves, but we should try and negotiate with other countries about our problems , because it's negatively affecting both farming(Agricultural) and fishermen.
In conclusion we need to work together as one or it will become worse.

  • Hey there! I really think that picture B perfectly captures what's happening in our country. Sadly, many people just sit back and let climate change happen. Today, we saw garbage burning near our school, but did you know that even though garbage trucks don't always collect waste, it can still be used as compost to make our farmland even more fertile?

I also totally agree with Centered Lynx's point of view that we should focus not just on the capital, but on other areas of the country too. It's important to remember that we're all in this together!

According to the latest news and research, Ghana is projected to get even warmer in the coming years. By 2050, mean temperatures are expected to increase by 1.0°C to 3.0°C, and by the end of the century, by 2.3°C to 5.3°C. Unfortunately, this warming will likely happen faster in the drier northern areas than in the coastal regions.

We shouldn't just sit back and watch climate change happen. By making small changes in our daily lives, we can help prevent living in a polluted world.
    Thanks !!

  • During the years climate change has affected my country. I would say that C could represent my country in Greece especially in summer and in cities not near the sea.
The temperature has risen enough at summers and because of this there are many forest fires that destroy our natural environment and beauty.

  • I believe that the icon that corresponds to my country is c!
In recent years, my country has been so hot even in the winter that it used to be bitterly cold. I believe that each of us in our daily life does not have the time to think about the environment around us, but in a few years he will see it in front of him and he will understand the mistakes he has made but then it will be too late for him and for others.

unfortunately time goes by and humans learn new things about the planet we start to harm it more and more not understanding that we are also harming ourselves

unfortunately or fortunately every country has its own climate threshing is good but it is disappointing, my own country I can say that it is somewhere in between.. we all have to have our opinion on this issue to be able to save our planet for to be saved ourselves

  • I believe it is option C, due to the intense level of heat. Lack of response to climate change has made the situation worse. Damaging gases are being released into the air by industries, cars and other machinery which in turn affects the atmosphere negatively. A simple solution to climate change is planting of trees, as trees absorb the carbon dioxide in the air to produce oxygen, which will help in purifying the atmosphere. Recycling also helps in reducing climate change because it reduces pollution. Creating awareness to the adverse effects of climate change will encourage people to make an effort for the betterment of the society. Climate change worsens the air condition not only by increasing heat levels but it also increases drought which causes decline in farming. In some cases it can also cause a high level of storms which will result in flooding.

  • l live in London . l think l am experiencing E because there is a lot of pollution and deforestation in London . In my opinion , l think there is not too much bad news because there is different people in the world who are suffering from climate change and we as a country need to unit and stop climate change .

In conclusion, we should stop climate change together as a country .

THANK YOU FOR READING MY OPINION !!!!!!!

  • I believe that the situation in my country matches picture B. As I go around every day, I hear only unpleasant news about our country. First of all, the prevailing weather conditions are contrary to what they should be according to the seasons. Also, the floods are increasing more and more each year time. Like the tragic flood that hit the region of Thessaly this year in September, creating many disasters. Another phenomenon is the fires during the summer with the result that the forests burn and the production of oxygen decreases. All these and even more happen every day time but unfortunately all these are increasing more and more.Imagine with the help of a time machine we pressed the button and went to 2056. What would it be like? Would there be an environment? What do you say?

  • Its a mix between A, B, and D. I think this becausethe county is going through all of that at the same time. Were trying to fix what we have with what we have. And some people are trying to make a change

  • Unfortunately, I believe its B. Based on my personal experience Greece suffers every day from climate change. The main causes of climate change is the weather that have changed a lot all over the years and is constantly evolving. For instance, now the weather is sunny almost all the year and only a few days are cold. Another cuase of climate change in my country is surely the floods all over the country as long as conflagrations and earthquakes happenning very often. My country is not trying that much to fight back the climate change and the situation is turning worse and worse as the time goes on. In conclusion, my country needs to do something and totally focus on this situation as soon as possible.

  • It's a quite complex decision, however i think i should choose the picture B. First of all, it shows a fundamental change that has affected negatively my own country. A living example is the countless times Greece has suffered countless of destructive floods causing many people to lose their homes. Having said that, fires covering vast areas is a quite often phenomenon which leads to burning forests and extinction of many animal species that are protected by the government.Consequently, based on my own experience, B is the one picture that identifies my own country.

  • I think that in my country there's a mix of E and D. I admire this because here in Greece we have very hot summers and winters without very snow. The last 5 years the first cold of a year come in January. That is because we have a lot of air pollution. This thing isn't good for the environment and our nature beauty is destroying more and more. For example this year in August entire forests got burnt. So we must do something to stop this.

  • I strongly agree with A and E. In my country we plant trees, we store energy using solar panels and there is adequate rain fall which helps plants grow. Even down the my school, we barely use the generator because we have solar panels everywhere in the school annd we use it to run all electrical activities. Therefore this is an advantage to my country and my school because it help the plants in my country grow, this can provide global wellbeing.

  • Hello!
In my opinion i will take B as my answer because i can't find any reason why people stump garbage and after they burn it which affect the ozone layer and makes the sun too much for us and it causes heat. I think that 90 percentage of youth should be concerned so that our future generation will not suffer the same as we did. Again the government should also discourage the burning of garbage. In conclusion it will be better if we should plant trees so to reduce the amount of sun shine in our world and we should do the needful so as to protect our surroundings.
    Thanks.

  • Climate change is not widely discussed in my country, but it has had a devastating effect on us most people are ignorant when it comes to issues pertaining to climate resulting in problems like desertification, higher temperature, increase in the frequency of extreme weather conditions, flooding and drought. when we talk about desertification it has affected 33 out of 36 states in the federation. it has also affected the livelihood of over 40 million people.due to climate change there have been a gross increase in refugees and internally displaced persons. not forgetting it has put over 2million children at risk.
in conclusion climate change in my country has not been funny

  • In my country, I think it is A and B

    A) the use of renewable energy. I have heard that Egypt is making a lot of projects which a lot of them help in reducing climate change. For example, there is the Benban solar park which is a huge source for renewable energy which can help reduce using fossil fuels. Also, Egypt wants to source 42% of its electricity from renewable power. This shows that there is a plan and they are working on it. Another achievement is that there is the first made-in-Egypt electric car that would be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2024.

    B) Egypt is a coastal country with two coasts the Red Sea in the east and the Mediterranean sea in the north. This makes a lot of areas and cities vulnerable such as Alexandria and the Nile Delta and the effects of climate change can destroy these places. These places are in a high risk of flooding like in Alexandria, most of the population live in places below sea level.

As a result, Egyptians must work together to find solutions for climate change because we are directly affected. Even people with less knowledge about the topic can point out these problems

  • Hello;
I want to accept the letter C . I live in 'Bangladesh'. I think our country's temperature has been rising day by day . Which is so harmful for our country. I have remember that when I was 7 years old then our country's temperature was only 24° . But, now my country's temperature is 37° . Every year my country's temperature is encrising 1.5°. Basically, This is due to regular cutting of trees. Also, a large amount of black smoke is emitted from brick kilns every day. Which is enough for encrise the temperature. If , we can plant more trees every day and stoping the using of wood so, we can stop this. I think temperature encrising is a great problem for hole world. So, we all should be taken necessary steps for stopping the rising of temperature.
    Thanks.

  • I believe that C related to the USA .In our class where we got a page that related things to climate change and we had to circle . Our planet has been overheated for a while now .

    1. It's good to hear you've done the Topical Talk classroom lesson, quick_passionfruit!

  • opicture b defines the situation of my country it has changed somewhere the pollution is very much and somewhere its modarate to low and this changes from within the cities to within the country and as i have observed i the people have more personal vehicals and the use of public ones is comparitively low pn road that if there are 40 vehicals on one road so if these 40 people take a bus or a common big vehical the pollution will decrease and thats a way to lower the pollutin rate inn my country and thus we will plya our role in the fight againnst climate change

  • I choose option B because in 2015 we have faced a flood in Chennai, which was triggered by northeast monsoon coupled with developmental factors was one of the deadliest flood that has been affected more than 4 million people in and around the city and causes a huge economical loss of around 3 billion USD.
Last year again Chennai was affected by the flood named Michaung triggering memories of the deadly 2015 monsoon flood.
One of the main reason for these floods are dense urbanization. As the uncontrolled urbanization refers to the rapid and unplanned growth of cities that often leads to negative impact of the environment.
There are several ways to stop this dense urbanization..some if the ways are Implementing urban planning and zoning, Investing in rural development, promoting sustainable transportation, improving access to education and Healthcare in rural areas etc.

  • good night everyone,
I think artificial intelligence is beneficial to human life. Climate change 10/20 years ago and now is not due to artificial intelligence but various wrong steps of people. Earlier there was a lot of rain during monsoon. But now it is raining but much less than before. Humans are mainly responsible for that because they are starving the forests into cities and at the same time cutting trees to build roads. In the past, winters were more severe than winters, but now winters are warmer. Green house gas is responsible for that. Green house gases are made up of various gases including carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide comes from factories, car exhaust, etc. Currently we are facing natural calamities like flood due to lack of rain, drought, heavy rain. All these natural environments are being used by humans, not artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is used by people for their own needs.

  • Hello ,
I choose E because it is not too windy, rainy, snowy and sunny like the others.
FIRSTLY, i will like to say that the first picture is too rainy. Well it has advantages and disadvantages. Its advantages are not much but it helps in growing crops like corn, yam, cassava and so on.
SECONDLY, i will like to say that the second picture above is too snowy and it has a lot of disadvantages. The first thing that i will be looking at is the diseases that can cause damage to the body.
The thing is that when you are not putting on the thing that you are ment wear during snowy days you might have lung cancer and heart affection.
    THANK YOU VERY MUCH

  • In the case of my country, C is the most similar situation to the weather here especiall recently the weath has been highly bipolar and unpredictable. The weather is either extremely cold or hot, the news has been showing floods happening in california and most of the west coast. On the other hand Georgia has had little to no rain recently. The weather all around my country has been different depending on where you may live.Because of this americans finally collectively believe that climate change is really happening. The weather has also made many days of school be cancelled for multiple days.In conclusion the letter C is the best explination for my countries very odd weather.

  • good night everyone,
Environment is polluted because of humans not artificial intelligence. Humans should build tree houses without destroying forests. As a result, forest land will also be protected and can be turned into a center for accommodation and tourism. Factories should be located away from residential areas, schools, hospitals and suitable for communication. Recycle or treat industrial waste and re-use it if suitable for re-use. Excavating sand in the river for one's own interests, not building barrages. Due to these reasons the normal flow of the river is disrupted. Prohibition of over-speeding, as over-speeding increases the flow of water in the river which hits the banks. Due to the impact of water flow, the riverside area is gradually sinking under the river bed. Farmers use more water in irrigation and waste it. As a result of which the water level in the ground decreases and drought occurs. Apart from these few natural disasters in Bangladesh, there have been many other disasters which are constantly increasing the suffering in our public life.

  • Personally, I believe that my country is C. Recently, there has been a lot of wildfires which add on to climate change, not only that but the use of gas emissions and smoke from factories have been polluting the air as well as it is causing health problems for citizens. In the US, climate change cost billions of dollars every year hurting our economy as well as our health. Although, it's not only us that are affected from it; animals that live in the artic such as polar bears, penguins, and more have died from global warming as their climate changes. So you see, climate change is a huge problem not only for us, but for other living organisms as well.

  • My opinion is that it might be A or E because in the UK -England- we are trying to switch people with petrol cars into getting electric cars (ulez charge) and to put more solar panels on house roofs or school buildings. As well as, depositing a handful of wind turbines across spacious fields and farms and are even trying to put some in the ocean. In addition to this, everyone is also trying their very best to stop deforestation and in fact plant more trees and plants to help the environment. Furthermore, if people are not able to get an electric car yet then they are riding on bikes, scooters, buses or trains or are just walking so not that much CO2 is produced into the atmosphere.

    1. Well done for using specific examples from your country!

  • I think A best represents the weather near my home because we don't experience drastic extreme weather conditions very often. I have noticed more storms though due to global warming and the temperature rise of our planet. We have more hot days in the summer but a lot of rainfall. This is more evidence of global warming.

  • Option E is the closest to where I live the reason to this is because since we live furthest from the hemisphere we don't have natural disasters as much as different countries . In addition to this is that I think that our country has more developed technology that makes our climate more fresher also it is proven that England has more cleaner air then other countries . A B C and D are close but I chose E because the other letters are about nature disaster which our country doesn't have. On the other hand A is close but I think that our county isn't that high tech.Having said that I believe that none of these are really our climate I believe this because there might be a country that has lots of natural disasters but have lots of high tech or a country that has less of natural disaster but have less of the high tech.

  • I think figure C describes perfectly the present condition of climate of Bangladesh. Currently we are facing a lot of climate changes in our country. This year we have faced severe cold and records the lowest temperature. Also, we have experienced the warmest summer ever in Bangladesh. Earlier Bangladesh has six seasons. But now the seasons are becoming irregular, and we are hardly seeing the beauty of six different seasons. In Bangladesh, we are already facing the problem of irregular season change, global warming, flash flood and many more natural disasters. It reminds that Bangladesh is at risk of climate change. Keeping paced with the modern world, Bangladesh has also witness urbanization and industrialization. As a result, we are seeing many sight effects especially in our agriculture.

Now the question arises that after witnessing so many changes why still we are not taking actions? It will not be right if we say that the government is not trying to do anything. The government of Bangladesh has already started taking actions to protect climate. We have many organizations and also cooperating with different international organization to reduce the effect of climate change. But the main problem is that we still are not success in rising awareness among the general people. Many people are still indifferent about climate, and they are also not changing their lifestyle. The fact is that people don't want to adapt with new things easily. But as a responsible youth I try my best to protect the climate. I have already changed my lifestyle making it eco-friendly along with my family. I also take part in educating others about the effect of climate change. I wish that every people in my country and across the world understand the significance of climate change and lead an eco-friendly life. Otherwise, countries like Bangladesh will face a lot of bad consequence. It's our world and we need to protect it by ourself.

  • Over here in Georgia the picture that could perfectly describe the climate would be illustration E. The climate here is stable and most of the time is clear skies and sunshine. There have been a noticeable increase of electric car stations and appearances, but that always increases with time.

  • but at the same time there is a lot of pollution
    THANK YOU FOR LISTENING

  • I have chosen the letter B, because in my country the sun shines a lot, but in some places of the year it starts to get rainy in many areas, sometimes it can rain for a whole day straight and still rain through the night. In my country there are many trees, but now most of them have been cut down because of some buildings people want to build, and most of these building isn't even completed and are just left there as an abandoned project.

  • use I think the letter that would best represent me and my community is letter E. I believe this to be true because according to my research the use of energy base cars scooters buses have increased by 174% since 2022. I say this because my community has leaned more towards energy based transportation to combat the battles of climate change. I think this helps our community because the less gas that we use the better our environment is. if we are able to spread our mindsets to other communities it could help combat climate change in our country.

  • In my country, refuse are not properly thrown away, there is too much cutting down of trees and bush burning which affects the ozone layer exposing us to different climatic changes and bad whether. This changes can cause ecoanxiety in my country. The option that supports my answer is option is D.

  • Though it is quite unfortunate, I am going with Option B. Nigeria has been going through some very abnormal weather changes. Climate change has affected us in many ways from floods in the coastal states to abnormal weather patterns. There was even a time when there was a heavy downpour in January in my state! All of these things and more affect my country. The sad part about it is that not a lot is even being done about it. Though people try to preserve wildlife and forests, we also need to cut down on the level of toxic fumes released into the air and toxic waste into the ocean. What makes matters worse is the fact that one of our biggest source of revenue, oil and gas production produces carbon dioxide and methane which are green house gases. It will be quite difficult to find a way to cut down on these things. But i believe people just need to be educated on the dangers of climate change to our dear country. Once people know the reason for all the abnormality that has been occurring lately, they will want to join hands together to change.

  • for my country (the uk) its in between B and E as for us there is no flooding or masive storms but he does get very hot at summer and very cold during winter.

  • I sadly live in England, so it really depends what the weather is like. I pick C because due to climate change it is usually very hot during spring which may be a sign of climate change. Each year during easter it gets warmer and warmer. But i think the pollution is improving in England because this winter was actually quite cold. and we also got snow which hasn't happened in a few years.

  • In my personal opinion I think my country is between B and C because we are starting to use electric cars and many people are now walking to places instead of going by cars that cause pollution in the air. For B people are leaving trash in the sand that can be swooped by the ocean that live in the ocean easily be harmed .

  • I chose the option ' C '. Bangladesh is grappling with a range of problems due to the rising temperature caused by climate change. The increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as cyclones, storms, and floods, have become major concerns. These events lead to significant destruction of infrastructure, loss of lives, and the displacement of people.Water scarcity and drought are exacerbated by higher temperatures. Evaporation rates increase, rainfall patterns change, and access to safe drinking water becomes increasingly challenging. These conditions have severe implications for agricultural productivity and food security, as the country heavily relies on its agricultural sector.
Health risks also emerge as temperatures rise. Vector-borne diseases, such as dengue fever and malaria, spread more easily, while heatwaves pose a significant threat to vulnerable populations. The combination of these challenges can lead to migration and displacement within Bangladesh, as people are forced to leave their homes due to these Problems.Bangladesh has been implementing various adaptation and mitigation measures to address these issues, including early warning systems, climate-resilient infrastructure, water management strategies, and sustainable agriculture practices. However, continued efforts and international cooperation are necessary to build resilience and mitigate the impact of rising temperatures on Bangladesh's population and environment.

  • In my own opinion i think the answer for my country is between A and C because nigeria is now taking climate change seriously and responding in various ways. The governments has implemented policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote renewable energy sources. They are also working on initiatives to increase climate resilience and adapt to the changing environment. Additionally, there are awareness campaigns to educate the public about the impacts of climate change and encourage sustainable practices. People are embracing renewable energy solutions and engaging in reforestation efforts. It's inspiring to see the collective efforts to address climate change in nigeria.

    1. Can you give some examples of policies attempting to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote renewable energy sources in Nigeria?

      1. In Nigeria, there are several policies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promote renewable energy sources. One example is the renewable energy master plan, which sets a target for Nigeria to achieve 30% renewable energy contribution by 2030. The plan include initiatives such as the development of solar power plants, wind farms, and the promotion of bioenergy. Additionally the Nigerian government has implemented the national renewable energy and energy efficient policy, which provides incentives for renewable energy projects and encourages energy efficiency measures. These policies are essential for transitioning to a more sustainable and environmental friendly energy system.

  • For me its B,E, and C. I say that because every since technology got very advance, the U.S.A became a worse place. The U.S became hot, dry, dirty and overall a bad place. People do not use technology in the right way and when technology is being made it ends up polluting the Earth due to how technology is made.

  • I agree with opinion E Electric vehicles produce zero emissions and have a much smaller carbon footprint than traditional gasoline-powered vehicles. They can help reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy security, and move us towards a more sustainable future. As technology and infrastructure continue to advance, electric vehicles will become an increasingly attractive option.

  • I feel that C is the best representation of my country. I think the U.S knows that climate change is effecting our planet in a very negative way, but they don't know how to fix the issue. Since the government don't know how to fix the issue, they keep building and creating new things to distract U.S citizens for the true problem. As shown in the picture C, the climate change is from factories because the government keeps building them.

  • In our experience, we fall between B and C. This is because we seem to fall between extremes of weather, a less obvious consistent climate change. We see in the news the extremes; flooding, the high winds from storms with different names and the damage and cost as a result from this, but nothing regarding the solution. Extreme bad weather and negative stories in the news generates more pages than positive outcomes if there were any. Which focuses and channels eco anxiety and an existentialism crisis in out generation. People and even turning to Elmo on social media for advice over their political leaders!
We can remember our very hot summer of 2 years ago, but not of a similar snow laden winter. We can remember storms and rain and high winds damaging houses, but not a white Christmas. Around the world we see a similar pattern emerging and unfortunately a similar lack of political engagement.

    1. Can you think of any solutions, selfassured_tennis?

      1. Unfortunately, we feel the main or most effective solutions would be the most unpopular, and in an election year and with political donations being as they are, it is unlikely to change any time soon. Since before our generation were born, there has been climate issues regarding pollution, but not government has mandated an effective solution. Rio, Kyoto, COP have all failed to produce any real term resolutions.
Companies need to be taxed greatly for pollution and not using renewable resources or promoting more recycling, especially tech companies who make their products impossible to repair but encourage throwing away and buying new, but this will be insignificant with world leaders promoting fossil fuel burning stating "Beautiful, clean coal!"
A solution could be to incentivize / subsidize new tech / qualifications to research and investigate carbon capture and sequestration, but would this be quick enough?

  • I think the picture that best describes my country is B because I have heard Ghana is in no position to ignore climate change. With almost the entire population depending directly on agriculture, the impacts of natural disasters are very likely to have greater impacts on rural areas or even the entire country over time as a consequence of climate change. Ghana can go through droughts, floods, landslides and more. However, I also believe my country is restricted in some areas-such as technology. The lack of technology has been identified one of the main reasons why people are not able to increase their part in saving the environment.
However, I also believe that Ghana is also trying to make a change. According to the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, Ghana is an active member of the Green Climate Fund, a program aimed at supporting the implementation of climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives focusing on building resilience of vulnerable communities.
So if we come together, we can all fight against climate change in hope of a better future.

  • The letter that best describes how my country India is reacting to climate change is "A" . I have observed in recent years that our government and our citizens have gained awareness regarding renewable energy and its advantages , Thus in recent years India has seen a great spike in amount of energy being generated by solar panels and wind mills. The government specially has taken numerous initiative to increase the usage of solar panels in household and businesses .
Most unicorns now setting up their new factories are powering them entirely by solar panel , with the financial aid the government is providing it is helping households to now become energy independent and even the government has setted up floating solar panels, a new and innovative technique benefiting everyone .
Also in recent years India has seen many innovations in the solar power industry like solar flowers etc..
Windmills and hydroelectricity are also being promoted, making India become energy independent in the next 50 - 100 years

  • I believe that the best depiction of my country (INDIA) will be 'A' and 'E'. The reason for the same is that 'A' shows that people are using cleaner sources of energy like solar energy and wind energy, well in the 2024 budget for our economy the government will enable 1 crore households to obtain up to 300 units of free electricity every month through the rooftop solar program and also as of of 31 December 2023, the total installed wind power capacity was 44.736 gigawatts. We have already realized the need for cleaner fuels and therefore 'A' depicts us clearly. Also in 'E' it is shown that people have started to use electronic vehicles as a substitute to petrol/diesel cars and it again aligns with India as there is a rapid increase in the sales of electronic vehicles with a 50% year on year growth.

  • I would describe my country (India) as picture C. India is a densely populated area so managing such a vast country is ardous. My country contributes to the largest proportion of harmful activities we do to ruin Earth. The news won't show you the bad but a few areas in my country pollute and destroy nature. Many humongous factories degrade the serenity of this beautiful place by decreasing the quality of air and to recover this we humans have done little to nothing so far. One of the incidents in my city is that we had a river named "Khan Nadi". It was as pure as an angel, as white as the lights of heaven, people used to worship it but now the people of my city have polluted it so much that it has become sewage now and many programs have been launched to clean it but nothing has been done so far. We humans are cruel to this kind of nature. India has recorded one of the highest temperatures in the world. There are places where the trees burn themselves down due to the blazing heat of the sun. The Himalayas record the coldest temperatures where no human can stand. Chopping trees, and deserting places is no new thing for my country. We can only hope that humans change themselves as well as the environment.

  • I believe the picture that best represents my country is A and C. I think this because certain areas take care of their community differently. My community has a recycling program and people often volunteer to pick up trash. In other areas the streets look filthy and lots of smoke comes from factories.

  • I believe it is a mix between images c and e, c because in the news from my country we hear that there are more and more fires caused by people or the climate itself, as well as the air, the sun... and there are many factories that they are polluting and they are not aware that the world is changing because of these factories and they do not put any limits or solutions, then the news also shows the animals that live in the poles that are dying because of this and because of this. On the other hand, there are other people who increasingly ride bicycles and scooters that do not pollute or in a hybrid or electric car that pollutes less than a gasoline car and thus we pollute less.
We have to be aware that the world is changing due to the climate and we are not scare because we think that nothing is going to happen.

  • I think my country would go with option D . In Ghana , about 95% of people burn their rubbish since it is expensive to carter for a garbage truck to take it . Also Ghana has the the largest E-waste dump in the world in a town named Agbogbloshie, where people burn electronic devices devices to get the metal inside and this emits a lot of green house gases . In 2021, Ghana carbon emission from power companies was about 7.6 million metric tons, that about 0.22 metric tons produced by each of person in the country. But Ghana is trying to change by opening it's first electric car charging station but it's used by few since many can't afford electric cars

  • I personally think that my country fits B because in Ghana when you tour around our country you see potholes in the street and when it rains the ground becomes so muddy, at times when it rains it can carry cars into ditches and gutters.

I think that the way forward is for our country leaders to fix our roads because potholes can cause serious accident and the way sometimes it rains if you are in a car driving at that time sometimes your get scared.

As I bring my comment to an end I think that we should all be encouraged to try and help our countries in the ways we think we can.

    1. Interesting ideas @enchanted_buffalo. Why do you think it is raining more?

  • In the UK I feel like we're experiencing a little bit of pictures C and E because in some parts of England, like Oxford and London, there are electric vehicles but from the field near my school, I can spot a furnace smoking in the distance. I know that something big will happen to earth, and I worry that it will be bad. So I hope that before that happens, the world leaders will stop ignoring the big problems that other countries are experiencing. This is because climate change will come for everyone regardless of the political borders. Its effects are rippling through the world. For example, if crops don't grow in one country, the prices will go up everywhere else. Last summer there was a shortage of mustard in France because the crops failed in Canada. Brazil's choice to deforest the Amazon is very bad for the whole world's ability to capture carbon. etc.

  • I feel the right option for India would be B, as the picture depicts rising sea levels and unexpected rainfall. There has been a great change in climatic conditions all over the world, and it has affected other countries with India. There are multiple and vast reasons for India's climate to be like that.
One of the reasons include negligence, people don't usually care about a few things, like, increasing sea level is because of melting of glaciers which is due to global warming, and global warming takes place as the ozone layer is depleting. The cause of ozone layer depletion is high usage of refrigerators, A.C.'s, etc. which release chlorofluorocarbons.
Although, most educated citizens know regarding this, but they don't minimize the use of appliances which indirectly damage the ozone layer.
Additionally, people start learning about trees and their significance from a very young age, but their desires are still stuck on large infrastructure. To develop is a good thing, but it is equally important to look that the nature does not pay the price. There are even more reasons, but these are the one which are very simple and maximum people know about this. However, there are some people who worry about the nature and respect it. Even, they are trying to protect the environment all the time and are devoted to it.

  • It is truly disheartening to witness the ongoing global suffering caused by our actions, particularly in terms of climate change and environmental degradation. The urgency of addressing these issues cannot be overstated, and it requires a united effort to save our planet. Bangladesh, As a relatively young developing country, We are in a complicated situation. In trying to keep pace with a rapidly evolving world, the country faces the dichotomy illustrated in Figure D . Despite its continuous efforts to protect our homeland, Bangladesh is unfortunately considered to be one of the most polluted countries in the world. The seriousness of the situation is exacerbated by a lack of awareness among people to take immediate action. To bring about positive change, comprehensive education programs, extensive outreach and active community engagement are necessary to raise awareness of the serious consequences of climate change. Additionally, showcasing success stories, engaging young people, and providing financial incentives for businesses to adopt sustainable practices can collectively contribute to creating a more resilient and environmentally aware Bangladesh. By combining these efforts, the country can work toward a sustainable future that balances development with the urgent need to protect the environment. So It is safe to say that we are not doing enough, we need to work together and we need to act now to be able to make changes in the upcoming future because it is very important

  • Either A or B could represent different parts of Britain. The implementation of low-emission zones in some parts of Britain, mostly England, and the increase of the use of recycling bins has been a huge change since the realisation of the impact climate change has on our environment. However, in some areas like Scotland, or the more coastal areas of the UK, climate change has been more detrimental compared to other areas. The water levels are rising rapidly, speeding up coastal erosion, and also flooding some areas in the northern parts of the UK. Overall, though, I feel like it leans more to A than B, but it is still a mixture of both.

  • The Indian Prime Minister recently said “For many developing countries, climate change is looming large over their existence. We have to take big steps today to save the world. This is the need of the hour.” As we can see above different images, depict the situation of various countries. Some have started the best utilization of energy and switched to green energy, whereas some are experiencing extreme climatic conditions. Our Country, India is also a combination of these situations, Images (B) and (E) represent our country. The conditions emphasize the extreme heat waves leading to calamitous changes as devastating crop yields to heavy rains causing flooding that submerges entire communities and causes destruction to the people living in hazardous conditions. India comprises a little over 17% of the world's population, which produces about 7% of global emissions. Image (B) shows the rise in temperature and flooding in various areas of India. We could observe that between 1901 and 2018, temperatures rose by 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit. Contributing to droughts, floods and heat waves which impacts inordinate affect working of families and people of race. Last year, March was given the hottest month record. According to the news, before its agriculture industry was impacted by climate change, it was going to step in and help provide food relief to countries in need after the Russia-Ukraine crisis disrupted the global food system. But after the heat wave, India had to ban wheat exports to ensure its people had enough to eat. One study found that climate change made the heat wave 30 times more likely. There have been more days with extremely heavy rains also with longer dry spells in between. It has impacted India's central belt, affecting from Maharashtra to West Bengal. Himalayas are at risk too, a report depicted that by 2100 one-third of the glaciers would have vanished. Glacier melting as a result of the rise in temperatures it has aggravated both flooding and droughts. Hence, we have less time to contribute the nature as shown in Image (B). Whereas Image (E) shows various conclusions to this problem. This is a dreadful and alarming situation, which should be taken action in a less time. Our government and we the people, have started to contribute from ourselves in this situation.
    - Electric Vehicles : To reduce the emissions of fuel, and save energy to make it pollution-less, we need to switch to guaranteed Electrical vehicles. In India, 18.3 people of its population use Electrically and CNG operated vehicles in India, which is a good sign in contribution. This would not dominate petrol and diesel fuels, in the coming future and help us turn to green energy.
    - Use of cycles for a shorter distance, will lead to tremendous change. As it will lead to the reduction of use of fossil fuels at a shorter distance. The idea of cycle is an eco-friendly way to reduce carbon footprints. As per the survey, 54 percent of people have already adopted this practice.
    - Planting more trees, is a regular practice where people have started programmes and taken initiative in the activity.
    - People also have created awareness to aware the people, about the climate change and contributions done by our country.
    - The government have also planned for a scheme named - Solar Pannels on every terrace, which would trap the sunlight and convert it into electrical energy. It would reduce the electrical efficiency in our homes, and would help us switch to greener way.
Hence, it is said that "When enough people come together, then change will come and we can achieve almost anything".

  • I don't think Britain is like any of the options because I don't really see anything being done just the odd set of solar panels so it's not like A or E but we don't have extreme temperatures or earthquakes like C and D so I don't really know which one Britain is. I think it's most like A.

  • The current situation of India relates the best with picture C. In the early times, India used to experience 5 major seasons that were - winters, summers, monsoons, spring and autumn divided equally in a year respectively. But now the country is mainly facing one season that is summer. The summers last from the month of February to July covering the month assigned to other seasons. And during this period it gets scorching hot even in the north most areas of India. Then comes the rainy or monsoon season that hardly lasts for a month. The summers takes over the spring and autumn seasons as well, making them very warm. And during the time of winters it hardly gets cold. The winters last for a month or two. The major reasons for this type of climate change are- 1. Global warming 2. Deforestation 3. Increase in the usage of vehicles. 4. Construction of high buildings 5. Unnecessary use of gadgets like air conditioners and mobile phones. To stop this, people must come out of their comfort zone and start thinking about the future generations as well. In conclusion, awareness and unity is a necessary factor of development in India.

  • the images which depict India are A,B and E all together. The reasons I would provide are

A and E-the picture depicts a sustainable developing world with windmills and solar panels.
India has become 4th globally in wind power capacity and solar power capacity. recently the news came that 50 solar parks with capacity of 37.49 GW has been approved as according to the article of investindia.gov.in.
Bhadla solar park is the world's largest solar park situated in India. Sanchi has become india's first solar city according to few of the articles. Image E showed Electric vehicles and charging stations. India has seen an uprising in electric vehicles as almost 28,30,500 electric vehicles were registered in 2023 (according investindia.gov.in).

    B-the image shows turbulent waters/tsunami/flood.
    floods recently in India-
    West Bengal- 2022 flash floods.
Delhi- 2023 flood after Yamuna river overflowed the banks.
    Assam- flood 2023 14 June . 20 districts affected.
Chennai-a massive flood in 2015 and one again last year.

  • In my opinion, our country fall in option c because I always listen about my country from news and also observe that our country is hot country that's why it's effect on our environment, but there is greenery also and now have some solar system too increasing with the passage of time but I think our country is very effected by climate change. Factories pollution and vehicle smoke also effecting it.

  • hello everyone,
I think, cure is better than prevention. One of the natural problems in our country is floods. The main cause of flooding is the filling of drains, rivers, canals, levees. At present, people are illegally setting up residences on the banks of canals, canals and rivers to set up their own residences. Due to which the water flow is getting blocked. Water freezes and spreads to low-lying areas. Every year in Bangladesh 75% of the area is low-lying and gets flooded due to heavy rains and light rains, due to which people's lives are reduced to disasters. Although it is a natural disaster, it is man-made.

  • For me, I believe that it is A and E. I think this because in all of the other pictures, it looks like the planet is severely suffering from climate change: the planet is getting overheated by quite a lot, causing bad consequences such as droughts, tornadoes, fires, volcanoes erupting, floods, tsunamis and the destruction of habitats and homes. Whereas here, in the United Kingdom we do not have many of these problems. But now, people are becoming a lot more aware of climate change and are doing something to help the environment. For example, schools and people are buying more solar panels; people are buying electric cars; people are planting more nature and people are not using cars as much. But, sadly, lots of people are not doing anything to help. I want this to change immediately and I want everybody to care about their world and environment.

  • In my judgement the picture that describes my country, India is B. Because India is a developing country where it is reaching its zenith in the fields of science, technology and infrastructure. Thus pollution is common and our country is indeed facing a lot of pollution in the air, water and soil but, with the extensive help of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi our country is heading fast towards plummeting carbon emissions and going greener fuel at the same moment, as the image described in picture E, people are being aware of the devastating changes that are taking and changing their own life. Thus people themselves started with greener fuels, and solar panels, cycling too small distances and reducing pollution. Also, some cities have started to take some initiatives against these climate changes, the best example is Indore which took numerous changes to lessen the pollution and is now the cleanest city in India, followed by Indore every city is trying to be the cleanest in India. As we say small steps lead to big changes, If India works like this consistently then it will reach the net zero emissions target shortly.
I would now end this through a few lines-
Climate change is not a problem, rather is a fight,
Against the greed, who destroyed our sight.
To win the fight, against greed,
We need to change our living, indeed.
Reduce fossil fuels and turn to green,
Let's take this step to win, teens!
So let's hold our hands together,
    And defeat this greed altogether!

  • I think my situation can relate to picture C because here in Egypt we are dealing with a huge rise in temperature in summer and on the other side, a great fall in temperature in winter and that is because of climate change and global warming due to the C02 emissions that are everywhere in Egypt from cars because of the urban congestion and the large number of cars that are everywhere and they depend on fossil fuels like oil and fuel also factories are spreading their emissions and pollutants everywhere because people do not have the knowledge of the disaster that they are causing with their actions

  • Hi. I think that in Great Britain we are mostly E as I see a few electric cars on the way to school or just in general. I also know people who walk to and from school all the time unless it is really pouring with rain ( I do this ), or I see people who take scooters or bikes to school or even take the bus or train if they live too far away to walk . I am also lucky enough to live close to lots of green spaces like parks. However I still see litter on the roads or on the pavement . On the good side though I see some buildings with solar panels . We can't really be B or D as we do not have many big natural disasters, the last earthquake was a couple of decades ago and the ground only shook a little bit. Unfortunately, even though it was a exciting record we had the hottest summer we have ever had in some areas it reached 40 degrees this may not seem that hot for people who live in hot countries but it is very hot for us. So it is also a bit C. Hopefully there will be more changes all over the world for the better and our environment.

  • Nigeria, like many other countries, faces climate challenges, including extreme weather events, rising temperatures, and changing precipitation patterns. The country experiences issues such as desertification in the north, coastal erosion in the south, and recurrent flooding in various regions. These climate impacts can have profound effects on agriculture, food security, and water resources, impacting the livelihoods of many Nigerians.

Despite these challenges, addressing climate change requires a coordinated effort at the global, national, and local levels. In Nigeria, initiatives focusing on sustainable agriculture, renewable energy adoption, and community resilience programs have been discussed and implemented. International collaborations and domestic policies aimed at mitigating climate risks are essential for safeguarding the well-being of Nigeria's population and the sustainable development of the country. For the latest and most accurate information, I recommend checking reliable news sources or climate reports specific to Nigeria.

  • I think c because; In my country Nigeria we produce many things using factories and it affects our ecosystem and it increases the temperature very high. And it may also destroy a lot of places such as farms because the exhaustion from the factories can destroy some crops and it may be painful for us because we Nigerians because we are popularly known for our green-harvest and farming. And finding food may be hard because our farm crops are mostly what we use as food. We also sell our crops to other countries and gain some money so if climate-change affects our crops in any negative way it may be very painful for our country. And I also think that people should observe what changes climate change cause to their country and if it affects it positively or negatively.
    THANK YOU.

  • What I think that in my opinion is that it is a mix of A and B, A because there are lots more Solar farms being made around the country, and are starting to use a lot more wind turbines. We are also planting a lot more trees around the country and less are being cut down.

B because there have been lots of flooding around the country recently, and it has massively affected the country. There are a lot more areas were the Community have seen flooding.

  • Greece is mainly in the temperate zone with the Mediterranean climate, resulting in mild wet winters and hot dry summers. So, I believe that the picture that best represents how my country is experiencing and reacting to climate change is C. Although the climate of my country is temperate, the last few year extreme weather phenomena are observed with very low temperatures in the winter and perpetual hot weather in the summer. The high temperatures observed throughout most of the year, lead to catastrophic arsons and fires of a large size that result annually to the destruction of flora and fauna causing unbearable disasters.
An example of this, is the recent cyclone named "Daniel" that hit our country and specifically the region of Thessaly causing catastrophic flash floods. A large mass of water from the mountains ended up in rivers which led to the unwanted overflown of the tributaries and the local river, Penios and thus the loss of many human lives. This was the biggest disaster of the region of Thessaly that was a result of climate change.

  • Personally, I believe picture C best fits my country because the temperature around here is so high that sometimes I play football for only 5 minutes. One reason I think the temperatures are rising is because of climate change. In my country, I see a lot of cars emitting lots of smoke into the atmosphere, and this is not only affecting the Earth; it is also affecting us. Okay, some of this rising temperature is because the country is close to the equator, which means that it receives more direct sunlight throughout the year. I also think that widespread clearing of forests for agriculture and other purposes can diminish the natural cooling effects provided by trees. Forests play a crucial role in regulating temperature through evapotranspiration, a process where plants release water vapor into the air, cooling their surroundings. I think one way we can solve this problem is to plant more trees because trees play a vital role in regulating temperatures through shading and evapotranspiration.

  • I think option e is how America is responding to climate change. Everywhere you walk outside of drive you will see electric. Electric cars, solar panels and many more. Here we are trying to limit the use of industrial use and make everything energy ran. This will reduce are carbon footprint especially with the amount of gas we use for cars.Overall I think it will somewhat benefit America tremendously to go energy based.

  • I agree with option B because here in Nigeria, deforestation is the problem we are having in Nigeria as a result of the government not taking appropriate charge of the forest. In some cases, the government are the ones who gather people who cut down the trees in the forest for building of houses and thus making the forest empty which will minimize the percent of fresh air that comes into the environment.
Flooding is also what occur in some states down here like Kogi state, Onitsha and Adamawa which leads to loss of lives and destruction of properties.
Erosion also destroys the environment down here in some states like Imo state, Abia state which lead to the destruction of farmlands and therefore increasing the rate of hunger in the community.

  • I personally believe that it is E because I haven't heard much from the news about this and I feel like we need to be talking about this more often because climate change is a serious issue in a lot of different countries around the world, I can definitely see it becoming more of a problem in the future. Climate change is something that needs to be taken more seriously by people around the world and maybe we can get rid of it if we try our best.

  • in my opinion i think its B because the weather has been changing and i'd say its pretty accurate picture of the world. But theres a mix of this in some of the pictures like b,c,d,other than that i still think its b.

  • In my opinion I believe that the answer is A and C . I picked A because there are some people in the UK that help the environment and there are some people that pollute nature. I picked C because in 2022 in summer there was a heatwave warning in Bournemouth and it was really hot that some trees burnt but since then it hasn't been that hot in summer

  • In my personal oppinion in my country is C, because before the climate change, in my town was snowing, but after that date, in my town has never snowed again. Because the weather changed and it raised the temperatures in my city.

  • in my country i have experienced lots of very windy days i also remember that a long time ago i was out on the field with my mum and out of no where a high wind came in we were struggiling to walk as well and the rain was dashing, another time when it was my dads birthday we were driving and massive hailstones came in and pounded the front car window

  • I think that picture D represents more my country.
Climate change has started to affect farmers and the production of crops because of no rain will start to decrease and more crops will be definitely under threat in the next few decades.
In my opinion there won't be enough water to produce food the way we do now.

  • In my opinion, I think picture E represents my country the most. Why do I think that? It's because, recently across the United States, the usage of electric vehicles increased greatly over the past few years. This increase in electric vehicles caused many people to switch from gas powered vehicles into electric powered vehicles causing a slight decrease in air pollution. Even though this is a slight decrease, this decrease can help the effects of climate change delay for a while. In the picture, you can see that the skies are clear, the area around it is very green and lively. Around the United States, you hear news about people protesting for climate change and how it can affect the world if we keep polluting the environment around us. Also, across the United States , people can't really afford a car around the urban areas so they have to resort to scooters, bikes, skateboards, etc. That's why you see a person riding a scooter across the urban areas. In conclusion, that's why I believe picture E represents my country the most.

  • In my opinion I think it is B because in the A option the human looks like he doesn't know any thing about climate change the A option is what we faced 2 years ago. In the next option B which was chosen by me . The human looks like he have gained knowledge about climate change and is ready to take the actions to prevent it too. I hope that the world does not face the D or E option because in D option the condition of the world has become worst . And the human is trying to fix it . And in E option the human lost his hope and seems very confused too. I conclude by saying THERE MIGHT BE 7 MORE PLANENTS BUT NONE OF THEM TOOK CARE OF US EXPECT OUR MOTHER EARTH .
    Thank you .

  • In my opinion, I think that C best represents my country, because I heard in the news last year that there was a record of the longest stretch with triple-digit temperatures in California, specifically in Death Valley with 17 consecutive days of temperatures reaching over 120 degrees fahrenheit.

I also heard on the news, that 2023 was the warmest year for the planet as a whole. But there is also an increase in renewable energy sources like solar panels in recent years in the U.S, and more people should implement energy sources like solar panel in the future to reduce climate changes for the planet as a whole.

  • In my opinion I think its the option E , because our country haven't fully gotten rid of climate change , though it has some precautions. People use CNG cars or electric cars.. people also started putting solar panels on their homes. This has certainly helped India in lowering the effects of climate change. India has also used indigenous technology to optimize its resources and promoted green energy to reduce carbon emissions while also reducing the use of plastic and using clean cooking fuel or oil.

  • sorry about the other one, something went wrong here is my original:
A and E best describe London. We are trying our best but some things are not working. A few people have electric cars and most people don't use cars. People are starting to develope solar panels on roofs and we are having more gardens around.

  • I choose picture B because in Ghana pollution is one of the biggest issue here that affect the climate change. But some people do not care about it, and others just don't stick to it because they claim that it doesn't fit their lifestyles. My country also resembles Letter B because of their:
    1. Industrial Activities
    2. Lack of Environmental Regulations
    3. Population Density etc.............

  • I think that the picture that represents my country best is D. As a Greek I can confirm that in the last decade climate change has affected the whole country. Last year fires and floods destroyed many regions of my country! As a result, farms and natural resourses were destroyed and many people were left homeless. Also, it slowed down the economic growth of the country and most importantly education!

    1. I pretty much share your opinion. As a Greek person who lived in Greece for the majority of my life, I would nevertheless like to critique Greek society and politics. I personally think that the measures taken by successive Greek governments to combat climate change are inadequate, to say the least. The majority of electricity obtained is by the burning of lignite, which is one the most pollutant fossil fuels out there. That comes in spite of the fact that Greece is one of the hardest-hit nations in the E.U., experiencing, as you said, extreme weather phenomena almost every year. Therefore, it is in the country's vital interest for more radical steps to be taken towards carbon neutrality.

  • Many people in my country think the environmental State looks more like A however this is not the case. Just because climate change is not as notable in the UK as it is in other countries it doesn't mean that the climate patterns are not becoming more irregular and fossil fuels are not being burned more and more . But some people are doing things to combat climate change like getting electric cars or putting up solar panels however this is still not enough as a lot of people are still ignoring climate change. So I think my country is a mix of those pictures
    Let's save the planet together
    Thank you :)

  • I am from Pakistan and i have seen as well observe that in summer season every year our country badly affected by floods. That causes destruction at massive level in the field agricuture by destroying ripened crops of as sometimes hail storms. But my heart broken when these floods hits schools and all infrastructure demolished. Now if our Government focuses at regional level and make small dams near the places where they know flood hits.Or we can overcome this by making small dams at union council level by themselves by contributing our efforts to save our planet as country. The next generation will definetly face water crisis in Pakistan if preventive measures will no taken, so this is this perfect time to have some ideas and also implementation practically on it.

    1. Thank you for sharing your experience of climate change in your country. It is very powerful to read about your experiences.

  • I personally believe it’s a mixture between picture A and E.
Germany is a very developed country on the outside but it also deals with a lot of problems on the inside like politics.
We try to make changes but the system can’t support those changes. Politicians often make false decision that do not benefit society or only the wealthy upper class like heat pumps and solar panels. Most people simple cannot afford them. It was discussed that every house should own a heat pump and solar panels to supply their home with climate friendly electricity. Unfortunately, not every family has 20K laying around to grab in the heat of the moment.
Even though I criticize politics a lot, I believe we’re still better off than most countries and I am thankful for that.

    1. What solutions exist to make climate actions more affordable?

      1. Sadly, there aren’t many. At least not in German households.
Germany's economy relies on the car industry a lot.
The production of cars powered by electricity and not by diesel fuel has gone way. Many people drive them. But the CO2 emissions emitted during the production of the cars cannot be compensated by the emissions that are reduced by driving electric cars.
But Germany has made some changes.
The application Tier is an app with which you can access e-bikes and e-scooters in almost every city in Germany. These are supposed to motivate people to stop using their car for step outside and to drive their car less in cities.
Another change they made is the 49€ ticket.
A ticket with which you’re able to use every bus and train in every cities. The only trains and buses that are excluded are those that the DB (Deutsche Bahn), our German train company does not own and the fast track trains like the IC and the ICE. This is also supposed to motivate people to take the train, a climate friendlier way, instead of flying or driving.
It’s working. I also bought a ticket as well and I use it everyday.

  • In my opinion, I live in the UK and I personally believe E links to my country the most.
The reason I think this, is because The UK is quite a big country We have south London, East London, west London, North London, etc. In order to travel around the United Kingdom is by taking a train, an aeroplane or a tube. Sometimes people live far away from schools or homes, in order to get there they need to take some kind of vehicle so that they can get to the place. It’s not like we want to, we have to!
Overall, I anticipate E links to my country the most.

    1. Picture E shows some more climate friendly transport like electric cars and push scooters. Do you see lots of these in London?

      1. Hi Tiff.
I believe there is more climate friendly transports. In fact, there is so much that there is even strikes on hold. Thank you very much for replying to my comment

        1. Can you outline some climate-friendly transport options?

          1. Hi Aimee.
A few climate-friendly transports are walking and cycling, low emission bus zones,
Zero emission taxis, electric vehicles, ultra low emission zone, And lastly Electric, hybrid and hydrogen buses.
            Thank you for your time.

  • I think A and E because they both show things we are trying to do where I live to help our planet like using wind-power and buying electric cars and using solar panels also not driving as much. But I also think B because it shows the sea rising and the sea in our country is rising and it is raining a lot more than usual. Also, in the summer it has been very hot, well, at least for this country if you live in a very hot country like Africa or India then it probably might seem sort of warm but not hot but it is still a surprise for us English people. But I believe if we do all we can to help the planet we can fight climate change away, if we did achieve this then the world would be a better and safer place to be.

  • (D) because it is very cold and it is raining so much and it might be because of climate change and that might be the reason why it has been raining.

  • In London it is usually quite cold but it has been much much hotter especially this January. I think we need to stop using bad recorces that cause climate change.
We have to help stop doing things that will hurt our future.
Burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests and farming livestock are increasingly influencing the climate and the earth's temperature. This adds enormous amounts of greenhouse gases to those naturally occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming. Emperatures across the globe dipped for two to three years. Although Earth's temperature fluctuates naturally, human influence on climate has eclipsed the magnitude of natural temperature changes over the past 120 years.
Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth's surface observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth's atmosphere.he largest source of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities in the United States is from burning fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and transportation.

  • In my country (England) it is usually mild but we have seen an increase in forest fires across the country. We have also seen droughts. When I watch the news I feel scared. How did everyone else feel?

  • In my opinion, I think Spain is experiencing something similar as in the image B, as we keep using fossil fuels in industries and in cars. Any way, Spain is trying to change that and use more renewable resources, but is difficult to make all people to use electric cars, recycle, use less materials such as paper...
In addition, now, we are suffering a big problem with water supplies in Cataluña (north-east of Spain), and people there must reduce their use of water per day and swimingpools from hotels or for sport purposes can't be refill.

  • I think it is B because, climate change in Ghana affects the economy due to its dependence on climate-sensitive sectors like agriculture, energy, and forestry. Weather changes and sea-level rise negatively affect coastal waters, impacting farming and fisheries. Reduced water supply will hurt hydropower, which provides 54% of the country's electricity capacity. Malaria and cholera are expected to increase. Deforestation and new dams are affecting agriculture, leading to migration and poor-quality settlements.

  • I think it is B my country needs to come together to combat climate change, as it is worsening rather than being addressed in the news. They suggest that instead of burning garbage, people should take it to local dumps, and that the responsibility lies with the individuals who do not take responsibility. They also suggest that the focus should extend beyond the capital to every region, encourage the youth to take action, and encourage adults to do the same. In conclusion, they believe that a united effort is necessary to combat climate change.

  • Hello,
I think that in my country there is a mixture between A and D because in the USA we have droughts and severe weather conditions, and I have seen that in many places there is a lot of cutting trees which I think that it does affects my country. I also think that my country is based on A because there are a lot of solar panels around the area and there are a lot of people replanting trees or any type of planet which I think is awesome because they are trying to help Earth while others hurt it. Whenever I pass through a house I see people being helpful and responsible for planting or watering plants.

    Thank you

  • The climate change in Nigeria is unpredictable .One morning the weather could be chill and have favourable conditions then on that same day in the afternoon,it will be very hot and it would lead to excessive sweating. The sun will be scorching and it can lead to heat rashes. The reason for this is because, there are a lot of trucks, trailers and vehicles that emit carbon monoxide that are dangerous to the ozone layer and also to human lives. Also large scale organizations in the process of production release harmful chemical substances dangerous to the environment and ecosystem.I can't indicate which of the options the climate condition represent in my country because it is uncertain.

  • In my opinion, where i live, it would have to be A. This is because it is constantly raining here and always damp. Even in summer or spring it sometimes rains. In the summer, when it isnt raining, it also can get very hot but the raining is almost constant. The main weathers where i live are : rain and wind. Many people would like hot weather so they travel to different places where it's warmer than here and there isnt as much rain. I reckon people are very unhappy with this weather as am I, I understand how the rain helps plants and crops and is needed but it is quite unpleasant especially for kids who just want to run around in the warmth.

  • Personally, I think that Picture C describes the UK. I think this because we have lots of heatwaves in the summer which is usual since the UK is more in the Northern Hemisphere and in the news, they said that this year will be the hottest summer recorded in the UK's history. In Banbury, there's a coffee factory which produces the most carbon dioxide in UK. And because of this, it's either too hot or too cold.

  • in my opinion for me its E because no natural disasters are happening in England

  • I think me answer is option B because we Nigerian's we don't have many issues no climate change. We help our government to clean and clear out dirty substance in our environment.
    THANK YOU.

  • In our society today, we are experiencing various kinds of natural disasters in our society for instance, flooding, earthquakes, firestorms, global warming, and many others. However, we have also been receiving more and more reminders on the need to protect and defend our society to avoid experiencing more of these life threatening occasions. In order to avoid them, we are to devote ourselves toward taking good care of our society, so that we can achieve good and healthy living in our society. We should also pay attention to the climate change reminders that we are being given to guide us on the right and proper ways to go about catering for the life of the society, as well as those living in it.

  • A represents my country the best because we are making efforts to make the environment better. People are also picking up trash and planting more trees. When my mom is driving me places, I see that some people have solar panels in their yard. Also, when we are on the highway, I see some people driving electric cars. In my country or at least in my area, people are making efforts to heal the planet.

  • My country is choosing to choose B. This is because we are not really doing much to stop the climate change and it is getting worse while we still are having a attempt it is just small things so as of right now we are choice B but we can become E, or A in the future to work together and stop climate change

Thank you, if you have any questions or comments I am glad to answer them.

    1. What ideas do you have that might help your country move from 'B' to 'E' or 'A'?

      1. Some ideas I have to help my country move from 'B' to 'E/A' is to do the small things like i said in my response but to go into further detail small things such as picking up trash you see, switching to renewable resources that don't use fossil fuels, and maybe switch to solar paneled power objects if you are in the right spot for it. All of these things can support my country to take care of the problems.

  • My country is c. This is because here in the UK we aren't used to the intense weather change. Last year (2023) our summer time was up to 40 degrees in some parts of the UK. The UK is quite known for their on and off good weather. But it is not normal to reach temperatures that high. This isn't good because our farmers aren't used to these temperatures, so as a result, our crops are dying. Also, the animals in our country (even though many aren't wild) are adapted to certain weather conditions so some are dying as they are not used to the certain temperatures. So I personally think, we should do something to stop this escalating.

  • In my personal opinion I think its A because i heard a lot of news about how we try to decrease the climate change. Nowadays in Egypt, they try to decrease the climate change. One of the most things that make climate change is power. In Egypt we started to build a lot of things to get a clean energy. Such as:

    1- Wind Turbine

    2- Solar panels

    3- dams

so as you see climate change is a global issue and i think that all of the countries need to find a solution for this problem. I think if all the countries united we can easily stop the climate change and live joyfully and peacefully.

  • Egypt faces pressing challenges from climate change, with rising temperatures and altered precipitation patterns impacting agriculture, particularly in the vital Nile Delta. Coastal areas, including Alexandria, contend with the threats of sea-level rise, posing risks to communities and infrastructure. The Aswan High Dam, crucial for water management, grapples with changing water flow patterns in the Nile.

These climate impacts affect food security, water resources, and the overall resilience of the nation. Egypt is actively working on adaptive measures, incorporating sustainable practices in agriculture and exploring renewable energy sources. International collaboration remains essential to support Egypt in navigating the complexities of climate change and ensuring a sustainable future for the country and its people.

  • In my opinion, I think my country is experiencing option B. I wouldn't personally say that we are making climate change worse. Despite this, in picture B, there is a car and in my country, London, there are millions of cars, which create pollution, making the world more sick. This is a phenomenal description of my country as there are trees, plants and lot's of nature, which produces more and more oxygen to the world.

Option A, is a spectacular example for what our world ,hopefully, should be in the future. It is perfect and ravishing. There are no cars, it isn't always hot and there are people growing plants. However, if you think of it, my country rains a lot.
So I think, my country is experiencing B and A.

  • I'm extremely sad to choose the photo letter c. I chose the photo letter c because there are alot of factories in Helwan city that make smoke and this smoke carries out poison particles that causes alot of diseases, pollution and global warming . The second proplem is that the streets are crowded with cars that use fuel, burning fuel causes pollution and global warming.the third proplem is that the farmers burn agriculture wastes and this causes global warming and pollution.

Now the Egyptian Government is working on making electric and natural and gas cars to reduce pollution and global warming. The Egyptian Government is working also in making windmills and solar panels to generate more electricity and the government punish anyone who burns trash.

I wish that I can choose letter E or A in the future when Egypt changes.

    1. I agree with you because, Egypt is mostly characterized by a desert climate rather than a tropical one also in 2023 was the world's warmest year on record, by far. Maybe it can get more warmer but mostly it is so hot.
      Thanks Alot ♡.

      1. I think that the war that is happening in Gaza is affecting on the climate in Egypt because Gaza and Egypt are next to each other ,and this increases the global warming in Egypt.

  • In my opinion pictures “A”,”C”and”E”
represents my country Egypt.I know that both pictures don’t relate but unfortunately, that is the truth.

In Egypt there are some places like the east and west of the river nile apply to picture “A” because these places use Solar, wind, and renewable energies.

In Egypt some places like Helwan, some places in 6th October(it is a name of a city in egypt)which we call Industrial October apply to picture “C”.Because in these places there are many factories these factories give up contaminated gas which pollute the air in the places near them.

Also some Egyptians changed their cars that use petrol and pollute the air with cars that use electricity because they less polluting the air. That example follows picture “E”.

What makes me sad is that the country mostly concentrate on the development of the capital and the new projects more than the other governments.

  • I think the United States would be E and sometimes C. People from the United States probably wouldn't agree, but some of the months the U.S. are very dry and cold. Not even months, sometimes one week is cold and the other week is really hot. When it rains, it's harsh. There is a lot of pollution here and most places are dry. But after all of that, some days would be like E. Many people are trying to help the Earth through planting more trees and plants, recycling, and preserving water and forests.

    1. I agree because C shows areas of the U.S that are being severely affected by climate change from things like factories giving off CO2 or even from the millions of people that drive their cars to work and back home. E depicts areas of the U.S that are trying their best to get rid of climate change. Some way to help the earth would be to recycle, use more clean energy sources, don't pollute, and so much more.

  • I think the answer is B because I 'have heard of the climate change affecting our country. Many people has lost their lives, properties, and businesses, for example: In Lagos I heard of a company whose business was destroyed and flooded by rain. So in my own point of view I think governments , scientists, youths and adult should come together and plan on this terrible situation called eco anxiety\climate change.

  • I feel that my country resonates with letter D because in more recent years there has been plenty of news about forest fires, frequent tornadoes, and other natural disasters. We as people have noticed that the weather patterns have been very abnormal in the past few years. In a single week there could be thunderstorms, then hot sunny days, and then days that are freezing cold. These are very peculiar weather patterns and many say that it is due to ongoing climate change. My country is also very well known for its economic status which means there are many factories, cars, and technological-based jobs here. All of which pollute the air and water. Letter D shows crops failing temperatures rising, many natural disasters occuring, and pollution which I believe expresses what the environmental stability in my country looks like.

  • According to me, picture C best represents how my country India is experiencing and reacting to climate change. Our country is currently going through a serious growth in industrialization which is taking us closer towards the rise in temperature, deforestation, desertification and high global warming.

The people of my country are moving closer towards their development. For this, they are cutting down trees, clearing the lands and setting up big industries and factories. All these activities are resulting in the downfall of the natural elements of the planet.

The people are now aware of the consequences of the climate change but still aren't showing much concern regarding this situation. Effective measures should be taken before we lose our mother nature.

  • India faces serious challenges from climate change, including hotter temperatures, unpredictable rainfall, and more frequent extreme weather like droughts and floods. These changes harm farming, water sources, and people's health, especially in vulnerable areas. The government is working to use more renewable energy and adapt to climate change, but there's still a lot to do to protect people and the environment. For ex- Recently, Uttarakhand, a state of India, has been in the news due to devastating landslides and floods triggered by heavy rainfall. These natural disasters have caused significant loss of life, damaged infrastructure, and displaced many people. Rising temperatures are causing glaciers to melt faster, leading to increased risk of glacial lake outburst floods and landslides in mountainous regions

  • I would say that image E best represents my country. Because even though the country is trying to help with manufacturing electric vehicles and engineering ways to help the country. The industrialization that is going on is still hurting the planet because without plants we can no longer live. Because we need photosynthesis and cellular respiration to produce air for us and we produce carbon dioxide for the plants.

  • In my opinion, all the options fit to India. The environmental situation in India is alarming. While some are taking steps to protect it, others are recklessly exploiting it. 80% of people still use petrol or diesel cars, contributing heavily to air pollution. Major cities like Mumbai (the financial capital of India) and Delhi (the population capital of India) are witnessing dangerous spikes in pollution levels. Climate changes are causing heat strokes, frostbite, droughts, floods, and earthquakes. We must take immediate action to mitigate the impact of these changes. It’s not like that the Indian government is not doing anything, we have already found alternatives to plastic bags and bottles and even discovered a way to make roads from plastic.

  • I will go with C because there is too much heat in our country which makes almost every thing hard

    1. I disagree with you because there is not just heat in our country there is also cold. Everything is just season. I don't see any reason why you choose C rather you are to choose E. Why you should choose E is because in our country we are free from natural disasters, we avoid the use of generators which brings out smoke which is destroying the ozone later and exposing us to diseases.

  • The letter that best describes my country is A. In my country we use solar panels instead of generators to avoid the release of smoke which can affect the ozone later. We also plant trees which brings proper exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. In my country there is proper and adequate rainfall which helps plant grow.

  • Hi! I’m from England and over here I can’t resale say too much about the climate change that goes on around here. I’ve got a lot to say about myself and how I deal with the weather where I live, I used to live in Folkestone where the weather wasn’t too bad but I as I’ve and my family recently moved to Greenhithe the weather has Changed quite a bit because when the sun was shining around here and we went to my best friends house to visit it was hammering down with mass torrential rain so yeah that’s what I got to say about my thoughts on eco-anxiety. Bye!

    1. in Surrey which is a county in england we However experience High wind and storms like the storms with names which are pretty scary!

  • Hi ,I am from England I do not experience climate change other when there are fires with heaps of smoke the best option for England is A since we do not experience climate change which is good for us but not good for the countries who do experience this.

    1. If people don't experience climate change as much as others, does this affect how important they think it is?

  • hey! I am from the UK and I think A best describes my country because it looks like A has lots of different weather and the UK sometimes snows and other times it is sunny or rainy. We also commonly see solar panels. I do not think that it could be B because we have not had a sunami in a long time in the uk .

  • Hello, I'm from England and the letter which I think represents what my country is aiming for, or working towards is E, because we now have many electric cars, we can't have too many old cars in London (ULEZ) and the government is pushing people (especially school children) to go to and from school on bikes, scooters, or even going on a fresh walk.

  • In my opinoin i think E because the UK uses a lot of gas

  • In our country Nepal, At the moment, Option C tell our situation right now while, Option A and E tells about the actions we are doing to stop it. In the past, our country's government not used to do anything to stop the climate change and they neglected it however, the government of Nepal has been focused and they are reacting to the climate change more seriously. Our country Nepal is the country that is full of natural resources despite that, everyone were destroying it yet, nowadays I have observed the people that they are taking climate change and global warming more seriously and they are doing activities like they are afforesting to protect us from natural disasters, they are promoting renewable energy and they are generating hydro power electricity and also they are not using fertilizers for agriculture instead they are using compost manure to farm and grow crops. In almost every house, I have seen solar panels also which means they are using the renewable sources of energy. We all have been doing waste management pretty well. So, that's all about our country tell us what's the situation in your country.
    Thank you

  • I'm from the United States and I would say option A because I have been seeing people having solar panels lately. I also have seen huge rows of solar panels across someone's land. I also have been seeing a few wind turbines. I would also say option E because I have been seeing electric cars with parking charging stations and electric scooters you can rent around my area. So basically around my area, it is the mixture of option A and option E because I have been seeing more electrical and solar-powered things.

    1. You share some reallt great examples from your country. How do you think rows about solar panel's on private land could be resolved? What solutions would you offer?

  • Hi,
I have seen a lot more windmills in my country and people have started to put up solar panels in schools, businesses and even schools. I have also seen a lot of electric cars on the road too!

  • My country is India,as all might know India is a diverse country with numerous variations in climate..in different directions people experience different fluctuations in climatic conditions..some states experience scorching heat while some experience freezing snow throughout the year, some may experience continuous rains and floods while in some states plants are dying due to droughts..this makes you aware of our diversity not only in culture, tastes, traditions but also in climates..I think in the above options my country is trying to have a sustainable future that is depicted by option A and option E and some of steps are taken by my country like promoting electric vehicles to reduce pollution, installation of solar pannels to save non-renewable resources, using non polluting fuels like CNG and LPG to reduce harmful impact on climate and to avoid acid rains...I believe not only India but other countries also are taking positive steps to improve conditions and have a sustainable future...

  • I would say option A because lately in my country we have started using solar panels, practically everyday when I am passing by houses and schools, I always see a lot of solar panels on people's rooftops. Also, according to my research online, as of 2022, the solar energy capacity in my country Nigeria stood at 37 MW, a significant increase of 12 percent compared to the previous year. If the REMP targets are met, renewable electricity should account for 10% of Nigerian total energy consumption by 2025, according to IRENA, with solar playing a significant role. In my school, we are also practicing afforestation so I think that Nigeria is having a good growth to stop climate change.
I just say that my country is having a massive growth in option A and we are trying our best to stop climate change by using solar panels, electrical tricycles in Lagos state and practicing afforestation.
    THANK YOU.

  • I think that it will be a mixture of both C and E because in C we can see that it is suffering hard things such as air pollution and loads of factories nevertheless, our country doesn't pass with all extreme problems so in my country there are some from this photo and some isn't. When we see choice E you will say "It's a precious place and can't be paid with price," and what's happening in this photo can be in my country such as a clear tidy place with trees and plants all surrounded by the great environment but in it we can look at it and see they're using electric cars and that's unlikely to happen in my country but it can be.

    1. Hello 🖐🏻, I'm also from Egypt.
I really agree with the letter c and not E, Egypt's wether is so hot, dry and dominated by desert. It has a mild winter season with rain falling along areas ( B). It is also somehow raining but we can cosider it as « c or b », and that will be better because Egypt is distinguished by its astronomical influence. Thanks ❤🥰

    2. I'm not sure about this because in Egypt not all the places are so tidy like that, maybe some places can be clean but I don't think so, even if they have trees and plants but more than half of Egypt don't have some trees. Egypt's environmental problems include, but are not limited to, water scarcity, air pollution, damage to historic monuments, animal welfare issues and deficiencies in its waste management system. Thanks 😃

  • Hello i agree that England and Spain are E because they use lots of electronics and cars that drive in a speficic way (Thats more in spain)

  • I would want the letter A because the world would be solar powered which is energy conserving and healthier for the world. People are already trying to make the world healthier, starting in the US, and one of the ways is to make the world solar powered so we could conserve energy and also it would protect us from climate change. This also would reduce our fossil fuel use. So letter A would be the most beneficial to our environment and those are the reasons why.

  • Hello 🖐🏻, I'm from Egypt and the best letters that describe my country is B&C. Egypt's climate is dry, hot, and dominated by desert. It has a mild winter season with rain falling along areas, and a hot and dry summer season (May to September). Daytime temperatures vary by season and change with the prevailing winds.Egypt is mostly characterized by a desert climate rather than a tropical one.
    Thanks ❤

  • I believe that the picture that describes my country’s situation best is D. For about a decade, farmers have been complaining about their crops, which were destroyed by drought or unusually high temperatures. It’s the same every year, and because there are less natural products coming from my country due to the unbearable weather conditions, majority of fruit or vegetables sold in stores are imported from various continents.
Climate change has been a heavily discussed topic in the past few years, which inspired many citizens to install solar panels and raise awareness about it to others. In fact, in order for more young people to contribute in environmental friendly projects, every school year, the “Green week” takes place, which encourages students to pay attention to their actions, as they can affect the ecosystem. However, not many are willing to change their lifestyle, and wait for the government to take action against climate changes.

  • The things that I know about climate change is that it does quite a lot of damage to the earth and the whole eco system. We must find ways to reduce this damage and destruction to the earth. If I was prime minister for the day then I would meet with the other world leaders that help people with climate change to make lasting changes and differences.

  • Hello! I am from England and I feel like the letter that is suitable for England is A and B as some people are planting trees and plants in different areas in England. There is also a lot of rain but a bit of litter. There aren't tsunamis but a lot of houses have been built. My country is also starting to use more renewable energy sources, such as: wind and solar.

  • HEY, Everyone i am from nepal .and in nepal the people are taking seriously to the climate change after this last summer the is increase in tempreature than before this is of global warming . So the peole and we are also planting trees and do not throwing waste outside
    THANK YOU

  • In my personal opinion, B is the most comparable to climate change in my country. In the past months, rain levels have increased as some cities have been flooded and destroyed by water. Additionally, high winds have been ripping through the country leading to fallen trees and rarely but surprisingly houses have even been destroyed due to these ferocious wind currents tearing through England,my country. Plus, builders have been lashing at tree trunks with axes and chainsaws to make the surrounding landscape clear and ready for these cruel souls to recklessly build houses resulting in more oxygen-supplyers vanishing of earth's face and land. Also, in the past few years and probably this year, there have been and might be unbearable and mind-blowingly blazing heatwaves in our country.

  • Hello! I am from London and I think the weather is like a or b. Here are my reasons in the following paragraphs.

In London there are a few people who try and tackle these situations but many people still don't help the environment . However, the council is planting more trees, as I have seen this in the woodlands.

The second most like London is B, because there is a lot of rainfall ( especially in winter and autumn. There are no tsunamis and volcano eruptions in London but the temperature is rising.

    1. Do you think this makes people in London more or less likely to take action against climate change?

  • The best choice for me is option A.
I have noticed in recent years in my country that many people use solar energy cells, especially since the sun shines in Egypt almost all year round. This is very appropriate for using these cells, which leads to reducing the percentage of pollution that increases environmental imbalance.
The country has reclaimed and cultivated many desert lands, which leads to an increase in the percentage of oxygen gas and a decrease in the percentage of carbon dioxide gas, which is considered a major cause of climate change as a result of global warming phenomenon and the rise in temperature of the layers of the atmosphere.

  • People are worried because of the temperature and people are very nervous and they have different things in there head and in the picture the people are scared because it is too hot and people have good news and some people have bad news .

  • In the picture everybody have good news and some people have bad news and in the man is worried because of tornado and. People are worried because people are scared. And some people not worried about the climate change and the problem seems to big to tackle. And the girl is not scared in the picture and the man is scared of the heat in the picture and some are worrying about something and . And the man is nervous because there is a big wave coming to there house . And there is a penguin outside’s his house and he looks very nervous because penguins are not allowed in his house .

  • An environmental policy outlines your organisation's commitment to reduce its impact on the environment, and provides a framework for setting objectives and targets to improve your environmental performance.

  • I feel like picture E most likely fits the description of the United States. I chose this answer because there are a lot of cars on the road and electric cars are being more common for people. There are also people in the U.S. who do not drive. These people are easily seen all across America, and normally walk. There are also some occasions where you can see civilians using motorcycles or bikes. There are many movements in America to ensure that our planet is safe, like cleaning the streets and making clean water. There are many companies and industries, however, who place harmful chemicals into the air, which poison our streets. This is why America is most supported by picture E.

  • I would say that my country(U.S.A) is country D. I say that the U.S is country D because the U.S always does and will talk about climate change and how “THE POLAR ICE CAPS ARE MELTING” and “THE CONTINENTS ARE SINKING”, but we rarely ever actually do anything about it. Very very small company’s and fundraisers try their ever so hardest to help, but large corporations burn them down. As in large corporations use different methods for producing their products in doing this they help their country’s GDP, but harm the environment with their coal, nuclear, and/or greenhouse gas producing factories. All the U.S does (from my perspective as a 13 year old) is complain, bicker, and shout about how we are killing the earth, but rarely ever talking about the solutions to this worldwide problem.

  • Hi ! I am in London and the best option is E for me and my brother . There is a lot of pollution and rain but in the summer it would get a lot more sunnier and less colder . But it is a little bit cloudy and the road is still wet from the rain . There is a lot of littering in London.

    THANK YOU!!!!!

  • Hey! I'm from The United States, the letter that best describes my country is E. Here in United States, I live in a city and I don't see really bad things here. Except, in California, C most describes it there. California has a lot of wildlife there, and this is why I see California as C. I'm from Georgia and here, E is the best choice. Georgia is a safe place for me. There's no climate matters here.

    Thanks.

  • Hey there. I live in I would say the climate looks like E. I say this because, there are ports to charge cars that run on batteries like a phone at gas stations, fast food restaurants, and more. It is pretty peaceful and there are not as many chaotic acts and people just simply mind their business and walk, run, or even bike. The weather is warm out, especially since seasons are changing.

  • Hello
In my point of view I think that our country Egypt is mostly representing C .We in Egypt have a mild weather , and tourists visit not only because Egypt have 1/3 of the world's antiquities , but also for our mild weather, but sometimes the weather may reach extremes . Did you know that this year it rained ice in more than one city . This happened , because of the climate change .

The same photo shows the increase of temperature and factory smokes , and that is happening in Egypt as in the last year the temperature in summer was more than normal, the normal weather at that time is expected to be between 31 and 35 ,but some days last summer we experienced a very hot weather and the weather temperature exceeded 42 .

The horrible factory smokes in the picture are unfortunately inside our country, the factories in Egypt produce gigantic amount of smokes , and not only factories that produce these harmful smokes also restaurants burn a lot of of coal for cooking some of Egypt's traditional food.

Unfortunately, our government may cut trees for building factories and bridges , and that is considered one of the major causes of the global warming.
