NHS does not need changing

The NHS was based on three core principals;

.That it meets the needs of everyone,

.That it should be free at the point of delivery,

.That it is based on clinical need, not ability to pay.

The National Health Service is the publicly funded national healthcare system for England and one of the four National Health Services of the United Kingdom. It is the largest and the oldest single-payer healthcare system in the world.

In the UK, the government only pays 7% of its GDP to the NHS, compared to 20% in the USA. Despite this, the NHS came first overall in a comparison to ten other healthcare systems (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and USA)  by the Commonwealth Fund in 2014.

The NHS is a system which is stretched but it is working well and doesn’t need changing, just improving.  With more government investment it would be even better.
