Let the animal die naturally and give it a happy life before. Let it grow in a herd with a family and when the meat dies have it checked for infection or disease or anything that could be dangerous to eat and take the meat that is able to eat and use that for food . That way, the animal still gets a life and is happy and healthy but doesn’t get slaughtered because we want food. We let it die naturally and then take the meat without killing it!
