Why didn’t women and men get the same rights at the same time? As men got theirs in 1864, but women got theirs in 1920.

To the @the~asgardien~reporter the leading reason men got their rights before is that originally women would look after there babes because they created them and the men would work so when people were aloud to vote naturally only men were aloud and that was kept until women tried to vote.

What would happen if women started being in charge? That wouldn’t be fair for men wouldn’t it? That means that we need to find a way where every person has equal rights without fighting but how is that going to happen if we don’t respect each others rights?

Why did you think that this was an important issue to cover. Clearly there has been the Time’s Up campaign, but we woildn’t be doing it if you people didn’t feel it was important. I would also like to know if they are any guys working alongside you in the BNC because I don’t think I’ve ever seen one.

    • Hi KaraokeKat,

We are an all-woman team who work directly on the BNC but our board of trustees (these are the people who help us make big decisions about the future) has men on it – you can see who is on the board here: https://economistfoundation.org/. Just scroll down to ‘Trustees’.

Timeā€™s up is the name of the campaign started in January for Women Rights. When all the actresses stood together and wore black to the awards ceremony. This is exactly the kind of stand that needs to be made for Women. What do you think?
