British money is made up of animal?

Did you know that inside the new £5 and £10 notes there is a trace of tallow?

Also, did you know that tallow is a hard fatty substance made from animal fat?

Well when this was discovered, vegans all over the country were complaining about it – as they choose not to use any products made of animals. It may seem unsurprising to you but a petition which gained more than 100,000 signatures, stated that the notes which contain the tallow, “is unacceptable to millions of vegans & vegetarians, Hindus, Sikhs and Jains in the UK”. I agree with this statement because the old paper notes DID NOT contain tallow so I believe that these notes shouldn’t contain tallow. Can you imagine carrying around dead animal fat in your wallet or your purse all day? I believe that this is bad for your health. What do you think?

I agree with you. I have two questions for you.
What made people want to put TALLOW in MONEY?!
Does tallow come from one type of animal or is it something that is found commonly in all sorts of animals?
