Well done to our first winners for this Issue!
A caption needs to inform us about what is happening in a concise way. It might also draw our attention to a specific detail.
Devoted_signature was clear about what was happening in the picture and drew our attention to the recording detail. Modest_boysenberry used a simile to describe the scene which brought it to life, but this didn't get in the way of the accuracy of their description.
There were lots of entries which used plenty of imagination, but this meant that the caption might have been misleading or untruthful about what was happening. Throughout this Issue, we want to see accurate information given.

Police gather as fellow workmate was knocked to floor.
I like of your idea of a fellow workmate has fell to the floor when it could be a member of the public
7 brave policemen stood as still as if time stoped and stared down at the rock hard concrete floor. on the ground was a human lying with blood gushing from their body with sevral ingereies. after this horrible accident had happend they were rushed to the hospitel with a emergany surgary had to happen. after they were sent to prison because of the damage that had happend to another human being. whilst that terrible plight had happend the policemens hearts pounded against themselfs. after that day he had 9 years in prison for his actions.

16:00 it was; sirens wailing people breathless , crying could be heard in the crowded city of Manchester, It was as if submerged in the pits of hell. NO-ONE WAS SAFE! Gunshots being fired from a far. Imagine a person , being filmed lying on the floor with a wounded body imagine a person, having no family to call for help imagine a person, having AES hovering above their head like a convocation of eagles ready to pounce for its prey! I believe that ths police are actually not helping their work mate but arresting someone, because police are using walkie talkie s to communicate to others , also if you onserve the corner in the right hand side all police shoes are black but the person who seems to be on the floor is wearing brownish boots .

Poisoned victim lays dead on the concrete ground, neither conscious nor living. Police try to figure out the solution of this surprising death. They best conclusion is that local baker-Jhonn Will- sold the poor man under cooked bread after being insulted for appalling biscuits. Evidence is a piece of bread with a slice missing in victims house with fingerprints of Baker. However they are calling their fellow police men to help with the situation. They will be wondering what caused this death for a few days.

I believe that one of the polices are making a document for report channels such as Channel 4 and the six other polices are surrounding the creater of the crime. I think that this crime was a robbery from jewrelly shops and shops which sell really expensive jews. The reason why they are more then 4 polices are because the person the ground is a viscous persons so more the polices they can arrest the man or woman and take back the jews safely.

I wrote this caption because I think a caption needs a little bit of factual information so I went on the hunt for some. This photo is credited to ' John Gomez', so I searched 'John Gomez / Shutterstock.com' into google. It came up with a very similar photograph just slightly more zoomed out/ from a different angle, but it is definitely the same incident. It said in its description 'London UK 1st April 2017', which I am assuming, though not completely sure is the date and whereabouts it was taken. I tried to research this further but had no success on finding out exactly where this was or when exactly, but for a caption you don't need much exact information, just some vague information to give it context.

A swarm of concerned Police gather to investigate the scene. But did you notice the camera out capturing the unexplained accident/crime? What's confused me the most is the uniform of the camera man taking a picture of this incident, it seems to be a police officer and he has handcuffs on his pocket/attached to his uniform. So surely it must of been a violent or serious crime for someone to need to take pictures or videos of the scene. Also, looking at the backdrop suggests that it has taken place in a city which makes me wonder whether it could be in London because of the increased amount violent crimes. Has it got to uncontrollable?

I think it's intriguing that people who do not have weapons but fit some police officer's stereotype for a knife crime suspect are mistreated. The most absurd part of this is that if they are not carrying a blade or arms, they could be treated as guilty until proven innocent. Most of the time, it is frightening how police officers decide to treat suspects of felonies but it is important to remember that they do not know if the person is dangerous. On the other hand, it is their job to keep people safe and to be open-minded without profiling specific people and they shouldn't need seven officers to pin down one person.
