Freedom – aesthetichouseplant

Freedom. It’s like water.
Water cannot flow if compressed in a jar.
If you smash the glass, a small tidal wave swallows the world around it.
Flecks of bursting sunlight radiating from the transparent glowing liquid, swirling and glimmering.
A jar is a prison. Bars of glass.
Can water sliver through?

  1. Well done, Aesthetichouseplant, this is a great poem that shows fantastic storytelling skills! I like that you have compared freedom to water. I’d love to know more about your metaphor!

    What is freedom contained by?
How could we ‘smash the glass’ of freedom? What would the consequences be?
Do you think freedom can sliver through?
    Great work!
