Why do people join gangs?

FeaturedImage_Crime_2.jpg

I think people join gangs because mabey one of their best friends might tell them to do it and if they don’t they can not be their frien anymore . Kids usally make more and more children their gangs until they think it is enough people then they strike .

out their in the world kids are joining gangs right now. My advice is that if someone tells you to join you say no or just walk away. If you see someone being ask to join a gang what do you think you should do help or ignore.

People join gangs because they might not feel excepted in their family and they might not feel loved so they join gangs which make them do bad things such as drug dealing , murder and knife crime .

For lots of young people, being part of a gang makes them feel part of a family so they might not want to leave. Even if they do, leaving or attempting to leave can be a really scary idea. They might be frightened about what will happen to them, their friends or their family if they leave.

They might be frightened about what will happen to them, their friends or their family if they leave. Gang membership can also make a child feel protected and that they belong to a community. Furthermore, they might be looking for excitement or feel attracted to the status and power it can give them.

Families can have gang involvement spanning over multiple generations. This reason that I found out surprised me, owing to the fact that I would have thought that the child could make up their own mind. Therefore, this links to peer pressure because their family might be forcing them into it as well as their friends. Some young people get a rush out of defying authority, or committing crimes. They may be attracted to the gang lifestyle, as it lives outside the law and participates in many bad behaviors. Gangs may present themselves as a means of survival to youth who lack basic essentials such as food, clothing and shelter. But would gangs allow poor people in their group?

People may want to join gangs due to cultural identity. I disagree with this answer because, yet again, I think that they can make up their own decision. Also, because they have no positive role models. I think that this is an important one because everyone needs someone to look up to. Whether it's a family member or a celebrity.

I think that people joins gang to kill or even kidnap for money and that's bad for our environment. These gangs can steal properties from them like: money and your purse!
