Weekly Competition #6

Congratulations to Malcolm Arnold Academy!

WOW (sticking with onomatopoeic words). We have seen some creative and talented storytellers this week. Your curiosity sounds helped us to picture curiosity more clearly in our minds. It’s interesting that the same noises came up again and again. Ticking and banging, hmmmmm and mmmmmms popped up frequently.

Shout out to Unigirl G from Rockliffe Manor, Splasher668 from Willowtown Primary, and Sparnosaur12 from Graveney School who all made the competition especially fierce.

The~Asgardian~Reporter is our winner this week. We enjoyed the idea that silence is the sound of thinking, but it also made us think more about if it is ever truly silent with white noise around us…and even our own thoughts!

if curiosity was a sound sometimes it could be annoying but sometimes not because it could teach you something you have never heard of in your life but it could be when someone really is bugging you and you just want them to stop but usually I am curious. jolly journalist

  62. If curiosity was a sound, it would be a why echoing because when I’m curious I ask a question. Rephrasing that, I mean the question. Why? When I ask that question, it echoes through my head.
    Sparnosaur12

    • Adding on to my first point, Curosity is different for different emotions and perspectives. Curiosity may be a sound for others but it could also be visual imagery. In depth, Curiosity may be a sound inside a sound continuing on until there is only a tiny sound particle making a tiny buzz. It can go so far that you lose sight of it but still here a slight buzz until it fades away. This is the same with visual imagery.
So my synopsis is that Curiosity could be anything. It is just your imagination making something for you to believe in and so it is different to others as no one has the same imaginative function.
      Sparnosaur12

I think it would be like a sound that is confusing and unique and that it will make you think of what it could be. Plus, it could even be random each time it does it to make something really think about what it is.

Curiosity wouldn’t be a gentle sound or a loud sound. I believe it would be a mixture of emotions. Curiosity can be any sound you want it to be. I know that it wouldn’t be one sound, it would be more than one because you can be curious in many different ways. But you’ve got to believe in the sound you want it to be or else it won’t be a sound at all.

    • I like how you have said it is a mixture of emotions and it is not one sound. It is a matter of people’s perspectives and how they act.

Curiosity is the tapping of fingers, on tables and keys. Its the scratching of pens on paper, because we just can’t stop writing. It’s the little sighs of exasperation, because something will go wrong. It’s staying up all night, yawning, because the mood won’t shake. Curiosity is all the little noises we hear in a quiet room.
