Why are there more men in power?

As you will have learned in the first session, 67% of people in power are white men. I believe the reasoning behind this traces back to when women and black people were discriminated against. Also, it is terrible that a BBC editor found out she was payed less than her Male colleague who had the same experience as her. This happened to my teacher before she worked at our school.

What do you think, is it fair?

    • Thanks for your comment, Blue Rayqayza,
You could use your curiosity here to dig deeper into why some women are paid less than their male colleagues. Does it have anything to do with history?

I totally agree with you WiseOwl13, when I heard what happened I thought that was real discrimination of women rights. First of all you can not just go up to somebody and give them less money just because of who they are, you should first think of their experience and effort put in that job. Secondly “Don’t judge a book by its cover!” maybe one day that person will become greater then you and then you will realize what you have done just because you looked at it from the outside…

I agree with you Goldenrespect. It is not fair as they could eventually be in power and the man end up with a really low paying job sych as a janitor.

I don’t think it’s fair when men take power to far and start being sexist about a lot of things because we should all have the same choices to chose from and lying doesn’t give us a choice!

More men are in power because people think that men are stronger and women are weak. I think this fact came from the thought that men are bigger and then came the thought that they were stronger. This thought made me disagree strongly

I thought it was unfair too! The other 12% is Aaisan people and black men which still doesn’t even come NEAR the 67% white men (I worked this out with WiseOwl13) THIS MUST CHANGE!!!!
