‘If prisons aren’t fit for purpose,then prisoners should be set free’
INTRODUCTION
I will be sharing my standpoint on prisons. This is an important topic because Fito is a powerful gang leader so we should focus on that because he can be injuring people and that isn’t good. This is an important topic because electronic devices are banned in that prison but somehow Jose Adolfo had them in his cell. In my opinion I think that Fito’s prison cell was comfortable because he put pictures and furniture in it.He escaped on 8th January.

Some people might agree with this statement because why would you put someone in a jail cell if they could easily escape? If police officers and judges said they should go to that prison they must think that they won’t escape unless they do not know that it is easy to escape. If prisons are not reformative or secure, then there is no point of the prisoner being there. Fito escaped on 8th January but the prison he was in was supposed to be secure and reformative but somehow he escaped. So maybe the prison wasn’t secure enough.
AGAINST
Alternatively,others may disagree with this statement because they would have been put into a prison for a reason so there is no point letting them free. There still needs to be a punishment for the prisoner otherwise they won’t learn about their mistakes
and that is the point of a prison. Therefore you should still put them in prison.
MY OPINION
In my opinion,I think against this statement because even if prisons aren’t fit for purpose they shouldn’t let them free. You are only supposed to be in prison to learn from your mistakes and to have a better life afterwards. And even if they can escape some people might not want to. In the future I recommend that people go to check prisons to make sure they are fit for purpose and to make them better prisons. Only some prisons are bad prisons and there are lots of prisons in the world so if you let all the prisoners out of the bad prisons then the world would be a bad place.

I disagree with this topic because if prison aren’t fit for purpose they shouldn’t let them free. because you're in prison to reflect off of your mistakes if I was in charge of a prison and I notice that the inmates are not fit for their prison I would take them to another prison that suits them and I agree with your opinion because like you said or half of what u said I also think that if the inmates go to a unsecure prison they would be able to escape because secure means nobody can get in or get out so if its unsecure the inmates can get out in conclusion I agree with your opinion and disagree with this topic.
I feel they shouldn't just be let free they should be moved and get the right treatments. Setting them free will just allow them to go out and do whatever they want. While some may do the right thing others wont.
well I don't think you really understand what I was trying to say was that criminal/inmates should be moved somewhere that fits their needs and purpose somewhat of what ur trying to say .also thanks for sharing how u felt about this.

If they fail in these aspects, the solution isn’t necessarily to release inmates but to reform the system to meet its intended purposes effectively and humanely.
